i watched today's episode after having a longish day..lots of work, but it was nice to sit down and relax in front of my laptop sipping relaxing tea and watching jodha akbar with brains shut of course and very little expectation in terms of logic and some juicy romance! what i liked in the whole of episode was various shades of jalal...
-jalal the king..he was authoritative..,made a quick decision of war against the raja who had joined hands with a baaghi..indeed right decision
-jalal the husband..he was protective and fierce as far as his azziz begum and beloved is concerned..he can take anything on him but not on someone that is dear to him and belongs to him..this showed the man in him who is protective towards his family and is the provider of food..shelter..and protection!
-jalal the father..the scene shifts from being fierce and protective to being very subtle and emotionally weak when he comes to see the mother of his child and then talks to the unborn child...he is so concerned about his safety that he doesn't even want the wind to hurt his child..Awww!
-jalal the son..and then the scene takes us to his father's place where resides the heritage of mughal sultanat and there he tells jodha how worried he is about his ammijaan and not only her he is worried about his half sister and is willing to give her due when she is found..how thoughtful as a brother and a son!
these are the qualities that make a person great and they are innate and not acquired...i again salute to this great emperor who lived several hundred years ago and whose image is brought to life by none other than our Rajat's Jalal and i make an effort to learn from my readings about him and through the NR which also surprise me at times when they actually get out of the clutches of cliched tracks to show glimpse of his greatness!
