Jalal was in his room thinking about why he felt different about jodha, she is just like other women in his harem. But he thought she could not be the same as ruks or all other begum e aam. Why did he feel different aroud jodha. Why dosent he get angry on jodha when he back answers him? Why did he feel change on himself, why does he want to talk to him all the time. ?... He was trying to get his answers when some sweet song disturbed him.
It was none other than jodha. 😊
In jodha's room hamida begum, gulbadan begum and all other begums including ruks were mesmerised by her sweet voice. Even jalal himself could not stop himself from not amazed by her voice, just when he was enjoying the song a smirk attacked his thoughts. Hamida begum could see his signature smirk and was in thoughts about what jalal was upto, was he thinking of some mischief, she could not believe that he was smiling just like that. 😉
Even there some of jalal's begum were trying to attract him, but jalal was already getting attracted to jodha. Seeing this maham anga got angry and was fuming about how jalal was admiring jodha secretly.
After this maham went to ruquiya's room,
Maham: aadab malikae khass, maufi chate hai ruquiya begum par hame aisa kyu lag raha hai ki jalal aap se door ho rahe hai, kuch kijiye isse pehele jalal aapke haat se nikal jaae.
Ruks : maham hame lagta hai aapko galat faimi hui hai, jalal hamare the hamare hai aur hamare hi rahenge...aap chinta mat kariye jalal ko jitna itna asan nahi. ...yeh baat aap bhi jaanti hai.
Maham : itna yakin hai aapko apne upar? Hum aapko aane wali pareshaniyon se aagah kar rahe hai...koi bat nahi aapko batana hamara kam hai...hum chalte hai.
Maham went out of the room and was telling to resham
Maham : hume dikh raha hai resham kaise jalal us hindu begum ki oor khiche ja rahe...ruquiya begum to kuch samaj nahi rahi to hame hi kuch karna hoga...isse pehele jalal unke aur karib ho jae.
Resham : par huzoor, aapko usse kya nuksan hai,, hame bhi to bataiye...hamari samajh mein to nahi aa raha hai?
Maham : resham, agar jodha begum unki karib ho gai to hamari ehemiyat kam ho jaaegi bewakoof...!
Jalal was in jodha's room. He sat on jodha's couch and waited for jodha to see him there.
Jodha : shenshah! Aap yahan kya kar rahe hai?...vo bhi is waqt.?
Jalal : jodha begum hum janbhujke yeh sbh nahi kar rahe hai... Aapki avaz hame yahan aane par majhboor kar rahe hai...hum kya kare aap hi batadijie ki hum kya kare? Hum apna kam hi kar rahe the par aapki meethi awaz hame pareshan kar rahi hai hume apne kam par dhyan dene nahi de rahi hai.
Jodha : aap...aap ( blushing) kaisi baat kar rahe? (rezlising that jalal was just flirting) shenshah agar apka kam khatam ho gaya ho to hum aaram karna chenge
Jalal : zaroor jodha begum pehele aap hume yeh bataeye ki aap itne sare hunar kaise rakti hai jodha begum?
Saying this jalal went back to his room with a smile on his face. This didn't go un noticed by maham and hamida. Hamida was really happy where as maham was angry.
Next day in diwan e khas everybody gathered there and sat at their places. Shenshah came and sat on his throne, ordered to start matters. A man claimed that a merchant from whom he borrowed money was threatning him to give money back even when he had returned back with intrest, he prayed to shenshah to give him justice. He told him that he also looted his house. Man : shenshah, mujhe nyay chahiye, maine motilal ji ko unke pure 700 mohore ( rupees in present, it was called in those days) diye the jabki maine unse 500 mohore hi liye the fir bhi yeh keh rahe hai ki humne unhe unka dhan nahi loutaya, unhone meri ek lauti beti ko bhi kaid kar liya hai...meri madad kijie shenshah. Madad kijie?
Before shenshah could say anything adham stood up and said, " shenshah is admi ke pas koi saboot nahi hai ki inhone motilal ke mohore lautie hai. Motilal was smiling and nodding his head on this and said, " shenshah yeh aadmi jhoot bol raha hai, usne mera dhan nahi lautaya huzoor, aur maine to na iska ghar loota nahi kisi iski beti ko agva ki ya hai, mera vishwas kijie huzood. Shenshah turned to the man and said polietly, " agar apne inka dhan lautaya hai to iska saboot bhi hoga, kisi ne to dhekha hoga ki tumne lautaya hai, bataey kisi ne to dekha hoga. " The man said " shenshah deka toh bohot logon ne par koi gawahi dene ke liye tayar hi nahi hai, koi is chakar mein phasna nahi chahta hai, toh kisi ko inhone khrid liye gawahi nahi dene ke liye." Everybody was confused they were confused who was saying true who was saying the truth. But shenshah sat firmly and said : iska faisla hoga aur insaaf zaroor milega, (turning to the merchant) aapne agar apna dhan liya hai wapus to abhi qubool kijie agar hame pata chal ki aapne jhoot kaha hai to apko kadi saza milega, jhoot hum bilkul badash nahi karenge. Now shenshah had to show how smat he was. Replacing a smirk on his face shenshah said to the merchant: iska kya saboot hai ki is aadmi ne aapko aapka dhan nahi lautaya?agar koi saboot hai to use paish kijie. The merchant was dumbstuck, he did not expect that shenshah would ask him his saboot, the man looked at adham so that he could help him, this angered adhamcand he gave an angry look to the merchant. This exchange of looks was noticed by shenshah, he roared in anged : motilal ji aapki himmat kaise hui is diwan e khas mein rishwat dene ki, adham hame tumse asha nahi ki ki tum rishwat lene ki. He ordered the guards to put him in the jail and siad to him : jane se pehele yeh bhi bataeye ki tumne inki beti ko kaha kaidkarke rakha hai. The merchant said : shenshahcyeh hame nahi pata use mere naukaron neh kaid kar liya hai, aap use kabhi nahi dhundh paaenge. Shenshah said with a big smirk : aap hame chunauti de rahe hai, hame manjoor hai use jahan chupa sakte ho chupa lo agar hum dhoond nahi paae to tumhe riha kar denge. But this was a child's game for shenshah, it was like he was playing hide and seek with him. Shenshsh stood up and said ab toh hum dhoond ke hi lautenge and smiled at him pitiying on him that what would happen to him once he finds the man's daughter. Shenshah sat on his horse and leftto find her. The jalal inside shenshah would laugh happily on his way to jungle, as first thought in his mind was he keep her at jungle, it was as he expected, but it was not too easy there abul maali saw and attacked him, the girl was of 16 and was really afraid to see so many attacks, she hides behind jalal but suddenly some one pulls her from behind shenshah looked behind and was shocked to see a man there with his face covered over there, he was serectly following shenshah behind him and shenhshah and he didnt even know suddeny somebody attacked the girl but the man saved the girl and fought with abul maali's men but to everybodys surprise that man was attacking on abul maali's men and they were running back so that the man could not kill them. Everybody there was amazed to see for a moment shenshah felt as if he knew those eyes...was it...man singh...no impossible..then who was he, for a minute shenshah, abul maali and the girl were standing as if they were stones. He fight was incredable, for the first time abul maali and shenshah thought the same, this fighter ought to be with me he is just fantastic fighter... As the fighter (the man, dont get confused both are the same) gave them a look whic was familiar to shenshah, who was he suddenly the fighter shaked both of them and made them realised that only three of the were left, the fighter said : what...have you gone crazy? Why did he sound so familier?
After finishing all the other men who arrived on seeing shenshah there the fighter left his way. Shenshah left with the girl in thoughts of the fighter, the girl was too frightened on the attack that she could not ever say thanks to shenshah, shenshah understood the girl's feelings and said to her : aap chinta mat kariye hum yahan hain, aapko aapke walid ke paas pahucha dete hai the both sat on shenshah's horse and rode towards the fort. On getting down and seeing her father she ran towards her father, when shenshah was about to leave three people stood one the girl, second her father and third jodha with an amazement on her face. The girl said : shenshah hamu mauf kijie humne aapko dhanyavad nahi diya, hum...hum...bohot dar gaye the. Shenshah dhanyvad hamare pran bachane ke liye. As girl and her father left jodha stood there smiling and said : shenshah aapne bohot acha kam kiya, hum dang reh gaye the jab aapko sachai ka paksh lete dekh...humne yeh apeksha nahi ki thi (smiling)
Jalal : ( coming closer, more closer, sticking her to one corner of the hall ) aap kehena kya chati hai begum jodha, aapko kya lagta hai ki hum itne bure hai ki hum apni riyaya ko insaaf nahi denge, yeh ek shenshah ke shaan ke khilaf hai...
Jodha : aur...aur yeh bhi ek shenshah ke shaan ke khilaf hai ki aap hamare itne karib aa rahe hai...hame jaane dijie hame bohot kaam hai...hatiye
Jalal (naughtily) : par is waqt ham shenshah nahi aapke shauher hai...aur aapko konse kaam aa pade... ( seeing the wiped out smile from her face ) ... Jalal slowly moves his fingers on her face feels her breath, the smell of her perfume and utters only one word " mashallah" and goes away, jodha takes a heavy breath, this was really unusual for her no man came so close to her neither her brothers nor his own father. She also goes away to her room.
