His behaviour was so averse Love that she never had the heart to tell him how much she loves him. (I speak of the old Ruqaiyya, the new one behaves like she is schizophrenic & has too slap-happy a hand. 😆)

There was a lovely scene in the earlier days, where Jalal is talking nineteen to a dozen, head on Ruq's lap, and praising Smiley's Ruqaiyya about how she is so different from other women & doesn't believe in Love herself, she is the only one who rules his mind.

Ruqaiyya, head bent, is looking down at him with the most poignantly sad expression she had yet cast.. Beautiful.

Her expression conveyed her Love for Jalal much more than any words could've. ❤️

When I sang "waqt ne kiya kya haseen sitam, tum rahen na tum, hum rahen na hum" for Ruqs

The saddest part is I don't recognize this Ruqs - I miss the Ruqs you describe above
