Wasn't the lotus in the mud analogy perfect for Jodha-Jalal? There these two were happily in love amidst Ruqs, Adham Khan, and, and Shariffudin ... I had almost forgotten they existed. 😆

I am not going to cheat and include the first scene which was a repeat of last night ... I guess the CVs included it in case any of has had forgotten or didn't watch it repeated times? I am not sure if I know anyone in either category.😆

However, I am going to try an experiment today ... A musical take 5 ... As a few songs came to my head as I watched today's episode and I thought it would be a bit fun to do for a change ... How long will you read my thoughts on the scene and analyses:

So, here goes, let's see how the experiment works:

(1) Khwaaja Mere Khwaaja dil mein samaajha (Movie: Jodha Akbar): I always feel this serenity when I see Salim Chisti on the screen ... Loved him looking at the moon and saying that the time was good and Mohabhat was winning ... His serenity really helped me deal with the negative forces after. 😊

(2) Zor ka Jhatka Hai Zoro se Laga (Movie: Action Replay): That is the perfect song for Ruqs today ... Riding too high ... Refusing Hoshiyaar's advice to let Jalal know she was coming and the guards dissuading her from entering, she went it to get the jhatka of her life. This was the perfect lesson for her arrogance ... If only she learned from the arrogance ... 😲

BTW, did Ruq's also see that random flashback scene of Jalal combing Jodha's hair to get the idea that Jalal would comb her hair? It was so random. 😉

And we also got a Zor Ka Jhatka, is Ruqs really pregnant? Why is she vomiting and announcing herself as Mariam Ul Zamani? To act natural? As no one would believe she was pregnant if she didn't do the MUZ chant? Did someone give her the same ark as the one SD gave Jodha? 😆

(3) Waqt ne kiyan kya haseen sitam ... Tum rahen na tum .. Hum rahe na hum (Movie: Kaagaz Ke Phool): And just for a moment I felt bad for Ruqs ... As she came out with tears ... Trying to hide the reality from the other begums and her crying and anger later on ... From her point of view, this was not the Jalal that she knew ...

And from our point of view, this is not the Ruqs we knew either ... She has lost her aura, her royalty, all in an aim to win something she had lost.

It was as if she lost a competition she never knew she was playing ... And now she was refusing to admit she was lost.

There was something tragic and touching to it ...till she started her maniacal laughing

(4) And my favorite song, "Aaj jaane ki zid na karo" (Movie: Monsoon Wedding) ... I love this song ... A lover stopping another from leaving ..trying to capture time and beautiful moment to stand still ... How beautiful was it 😳

- A blushing Jodha recalling the beautiful night ... Looking to get up

- Jalal suddenly reaching his hand to stop her ...

- And the following nok khok ...

- Jodha agreeing to stay back ...

- When she was called away by Ruqs ... I loved how she said she was coming back

BTW I could have bet that it was Moti that would interrupt them! 😆

(5) Aa dekhe zara kis me kitna hai dum , bachke rakhna kadam mere saathiya (Movie : Rocky) : For the precap, I am looking forward to this new challenge where a new , confident Jodha in love, will give it back to Ruqs! We all know Jodha will win out so let's wait and watch!

Waise Divya song no 4 yeh bhi ho sakta hai - Abhi na jaao chod kar ke dil abhi bhara nahin (film - Hum Dono) - is a better fit for our Teda Jalal and touch-me-not Jodha

We were in dreamland, to get us back to reality, all the 3 took Center stage today 😡😆

I simply loved the virtual slap Ruq got, but she never learns her lesson, does she?😡

The last scene was superb, the way Jalal raises his eyebrow when Jo says she will come back ☺️

Did you notice now Jodha goes near Jalal with so much ease, when she saw he was not willing to let her go, she went to the bed to assure him😳Now Jodha can't resist Jalal anymore, he did the same magic, what he has done to us😆

She isn't touch me not anymore, did u not see the eagerness in her to be back to Jalal she would have given in, if MB had not interrupted 😡😆

Arre wah Divya sweets like the idea of a musical approach and the songs uve picked.

Ive not seen the episode. Manic Tuesday after a long weekend.

But did follow the LU and heard it was a "Screechy episode" But But the few minute glimpse in to Jo-Ja's morning after made it a worthwhile one???? A blushing Jodha, a husky Jalaal???

Cant wait to catch the scene. Will most likely be after u folks call it a day.

Precap- I hope hope Jodha politely refuses to indulge Ruqu. Its time.

Although she may use the fact the fact that ruqu is supposedly pregnant and yield. Buit I at least want jodha to weigh it before yielding to such bizarre request.

I loved your post today & your song selection, Divi!

Funny-poignant, it covered it all. 😊

One addition-

For their sweet & cute Morning-After, I would choose my favourite- Abhi Naa Jao Chodkar, Ke Dil Abhi Bharra nahin. ❤️

Sings all of Jalal's emotions, it would be my gold pick for their sweet morning which was rudely jerked by Ruqaiyya.

If I was in Jodha's place I would've shoo-ed away Moti , told Ruqaiyya to get busy with her happy hookaah, and happily & lustfully settled myself in Jalal's arms again & slept...☺️ amongst other things.. ☺️

Ruqaiyya is ABSOLUTELY INCORRIGIBLE & I wish for ONCE Jodha sweetly thrashes her verbally. BUT ALAS! ALL OF THAT is reserved for her pati-dev.

For one whole minute I felt terrible for Ruqaiyya especially when she put on that Brave Face in front of the other Begums but did anyone notice what she told them??

"Shahenshaah ne Hume itnaa naa-yaab taufaa diyaa, Hum chaahte hain ki woh yeh taufaa Jodha Begum ko bhi de."

BACCCHAAA?! 😲

P.S. ☺️ I blushed far, far more at Jalal's DEVILISH grin when Jodha said that she'll return very soon, than the entire SUHAAG RAAT. ☺️

Fantastic post Divi! 👍🏼

My attention today, was largely concentrated around the last few minutes, for their pure bliss.

A few observations,

1. What's with the god-men and women around Agra. The "feel" the love more than Ruqaiyya felt in the next room/palace. 😆

2. Ruqaiyya entered Jalaal's room a queen and came out a waif. Her haughty arrogance and pride were washed over in one instant. I wish the guard had told her Shahenshah was not alone, at least she would have been prepared. Her obsession with making Jallu do her hair is an old one, remember she said the same thing after Jo became harem warden. The devil in me wants Jalaal to actually tie a funny pony on her head, never in her dream should she think of him as her hair stylist again. 😆

3. Adham and Shareef - I don't know what happened, because, I just moved the cursor forward and skipped that scene.

4. Ruqaiyya in her hojra - When she hugged her knees and cried, I felt bad for her. Seriously, my heart went out to her. But, again when she started laughing, I mentally face-palmed myself.

5. Morning-after - I was seriously curious about it. It was shot beautifully, for it's lazy elegance and sensuousness that was conveyed through the eyes of the leads. No use telling this, but you might have realized half of us are fawning over his expressions. ☺️ The irritability on his face when Moti called her out was cute.

6. Precap - I have an awesome idea for this, go and get some hot water and make Ruqaiyya put her feet in it. Make sure, the water is boiling hot.😈

Is Ruqaiyya pregnant, or what? I highly doubt it given her evening of debauchery, and her complete disregard for her baby's health. Hoshiyar actually looked like a girl's hostel warden, when he entered into the hall (it wasn't Ruqaiyya's room like he said.) 😆

Nice episode (all thanks to, ahem ahem) 😆
