What I said was that THIS Pratap, Kunwar Pratap in JA, Anurag Sharma, looks 20 years older than this Jalal (NOT 20 years old!) whereas, in reality, he was only 2 years older.

Next, Faisal Khan is someone I have adored from his time in DID L'il Masters in 2012, which he won. He is the son of an autorickshaw driver from Mumbai and lived in a slum, but his schoolteacher spotted his talent and got him free dance tuition .He is very modest and adaptable and physically phenomenally agile. He is excellent at interpreting emotional songs and shers set to dance, and his aerial tango with a girl called Shalini was mindblowing. I still have DVD recordings of his best performances in that competition.

He is very good in Maharana Pratap, speaking shudh Hindi and emoting with perfect conviction. I am sure they will keep him on as long as they can, as they did with Rajat in Prithviraj Chauhan. Except that unlike Rajat, who could have taken adult roles at 19, with that square handsome face and his powerful build, Faisal will be limited in the roles he can do because he looks too boyish, and like Shahid Kapur, he will never look really mature,as Rajat can.

As for the show, they distort history far too much to show him as the victor every time; like now they are going to show him defeating Jalal in a duel when they are 14 and 16 respectively!

aunty u never know. when rajat was doing PRC & DV & even after tht people said he will never be able to do matured roles. infact, when rajat was auditioned for chandragupta maurya, when the makers decided to bring it back on sony, many people said tht RT is not suitable for a manly role like this, but rajat proved evryone wrong by doing jalal so perfectly.👏 so who knows even faisal can do the same.

obviously it was not love marriage tht was totally political, but who knows maybe he was attracted towards phool when he was 14.

Unfortunately, this particular show is more fiction (in fact more than 80%) and less history - in fact all it is eulogizing a particular character and for that the makers put down other characters.

My pet, no one in Maharana Pratap is supposed to be 20,. Jalal is 14 and Pratap is said (by Maharana Udai Singh) to be 2 years older, 16.

I once met that Aashka Goradia in Montreal, along with Chetan Hansrak (our Adham) in Montreal when I was the High Commissioner of India to Canada, at some function where i was the chief guest. At that time they were both working, as a romantic pair, in some Balaji serial called Kkusum, and were bemoaning the fact that they often reached the sets with no idea of what they would have to do during that day.

Chetan was tall, but nowhere near as huge as Adham is these days. Aashka is a lovely woman, and she must be enjoying playing the Lady Macbeth-like Dheerbaiji.

And as for who LOOKS 20, do see my clarification above re: what Aunty did NOT say!😉

Plus I am not at all sure Chandragupta Maurya was loved by his people. Chanakya was second cousin to Machiavelli, and Chandragupta was entirely shaped by the ruthless realpolitik of the Chanakya neeti

Besides, no one in those days thought to "being loved by the people" as either a necessary or a desirable quality/achievement for a king. I do not think it is, even today. A ruler should be efficient, just, able to protect the lives and the well being of his subjects, and somewhat remote. Too much familiarity only breeds contempt in the long run, and then again, the "people" are like the media, they can turn against you in an instant, and for no reason at all.

As this "loved by the people" is tosh, and put out by the Balaji CVs. If this was so, what do you suppose Jodha would have done after Akbar ended the siege of Chittor with the slaughter of all the defendants, some 40000 of them?

Shyamala Aunty

Aunty, I remember there was a pretzel competition before, what was it on? My point was a simple one - her aim to have him connect to his people started on his birthday ... Whether she planned it that way or not.

Yes, being loved by the people does not apply in warfare. 😆

I used to watch that before. But history wise they r worse than JA. The thing which irritated me most is the love triangle track between MP-Phool-Jalal. What r they planning to show that MP and Jalal fight with each other for a women. Its insulting to both of them.
Honestly I love Real Akbar a lot. I can't bear to see him like this.

grrrhhh...talk about it😡
I dont like Jalal fighting for a girl that too at such young age😕
I know Jalal was cruel in his early days as an emperor..but this? heights!🥱
I dont even like the actor they chose to play Jalal
mera Rajat kitna accha hai
but Faisal Khan is such a brilliant actor! I always loved him as a dancer but as an actor he shines too! long way to go⭐️

Yes I know about FK. It's absolutely commendable! 👏

I've seen some of his performances & he's mind-blowing!

He's quite different looking in a pleasing way aunty, so am wondering how he will look after a few years. 😊
