KSBKBT FF: The broken ties Part1 : The revenge Pg1
This week was overall a good week.
Even Shariffuddin and Adham scene made sense. Their downfall started.
Ruq- she is unable to accept the truth. She is shying away from reality.
Hoshiyaar- proved very loyal KS and he gave good advice. I think at that time KS were always loyal to their mistress. Even Resham is.
MA -she was brilliant. Once the dawn, the reality started sinking in. She didn't know what she had lost, once she realised, she was shattered, she didn't know, what was more important and once the reality hit her, she was broke.
Jalal - he is superb, he makes us love him more and more.
The flashback scene was very cute, Jalal is always good when he teases his begum.
The preambleToday's episode saw little movement in the story... The montage is one of separation, so there is no way Jodha is coming back so soon. I also do not think these flashback scenes are prior scenes that were cut ... I feel they were newly shot as lollipops for us to stay patient as our Akdha are separated, while we like to see them on screen together. But my first love has always been the characters and so I am dedicating today the shades of Jalal I saw today. If anything, this track has shown a range of Jalal (and Rajat) and his struggles to balance his role as a son, husband, and Shehenshah. While it may be easy to criticize him in one department over another, only he knows how difficult it is to balance the three and others can only advise from the side. The CVs also do not do a great job balancing how they show these three shades- for a few days he is just the husband, then the son, then the Shehenshah- but it is true all three shades exist.Take 5So, here is my take 5, with four shades of Jalal and one special mention for Maham Anga:We saw the two shades of Jalal as a husband ...(1) The loving husband in the flashback scene ... Doing nok jhok with his dear Jodha Begum. Only the CVs know when these two were so close ... That he could give Jodha tel maalish ... But it showed the personal Jalal ... Who had let go of all his responsibilities as a Shehenshah and was acting like a husband at home. How few opportunities he must have received in life to completely let go like this.Divi, how many scenes CVs have hid from us??😲😲 when had they such loving relationship??😲 it didn't look friendly but romantic!!❤️☺️ did u notice Jodha was blushing?😳 I wanted to see more!!! how beautifully Jalal was unveiling and un-braiding her? I was floored!☺️ the scene was so homely..pati, patni aur tel maalish😆(2) The angry husband: While he tried to control his emotions as a Shehenshah as he listened to Atgah Khan's allegations against Maham Anga, it was interesting to note that the allegations were focused on breaking harem rules and gadaari to the State; but Jalal the husband could not hold back, he added angrily how she misled him about his khaas begum and his inner wrath came out for a moment.loved it!! TMHPKNK moment for us!!🤗 I highlighted this in another thread..MA harmed Jodha, and that's what making Jalal more crazy..Atgah didnt mention it which was expected but Jalal couldnt refrain himself pointing it out.👏 the husband in him was in wrath for losing his beloved coz of this one woman standing before him.(3) The pained son: And while he tried to act emotionless as a Shehenshah, the pain slipped multiple times including:- As he was recalled how Maham Anga had held his hand to give justice in the past as he was getting ready for the Diwan-e-khaas- As he reflected on how he could not believe that his Badi Ammi did this as the allegations were read in the Diwan-e-khaas- The pain in his eyes when Maham Anga accepted all guilt and he now had to punish herDespite all the pain she has given her, Jalal has not forgotten what Maham Anga has done for him. I respect him for that.
it was a lovely scene!! the way he was trying to control his emotions and determined to do justice was amazing (in dressing up scene)..👏👏the pain and hurt were written all over his face both during getting ready for DEK and entering the court...😭 no Badi Ammi this time but he has his Allah to guide him..❤️as soon as MA accepted the crimes, he shut his eyes as if absorbing the pain..😭but he is the Shehenshah and he must do justice!❤️(4) A Shehenshah forging his own path ... Today, as Jalal was getting ready for Diwan-e-Khaas, I saw a Shehenshah looking to God (as he touched the Holy Quran) to guide the way to deliver justice. He realized he no longer had his Badi Ammi to guide him ... And would need to apply what he had learned from her and others on his Badi Ammi himself. As now he really had no one standing by his side for his support, he is truly forging his own path and evolving as a great Shehenshah. And when he entered, the Diwan-e-khaas he embodied his role of being the Shehenshah.
TMHPKNK🤗 I already mentioned above😃(5) A special mention to Maham Anga / Ashwiniji for three specific scenes that I thought she nailed:- As she walked towards the Diwan-e-khaas with Resham, her walking, expressions , and voice reflected someone who had lost everything with the title of Badi Ammi being gone- Her eyes rose briefly as Jalal addressed her as Maham Anga ji in a formal way- When she was asked if she wanted to defend herself ... It seemed like she was looking for a way out but realized without being his Badi Ammi she was caught ; and so she admitted full guiltoh she was stupendous!!!⭐️ more to come😳A comment on Jalal's two begums:Jodha: She is now remembering her husband with a smile ... As she remembers the tel maalish and calls Shehnaaz Shehenshah. I am not sure why the CVs are showing her emotions in silos - Kali Mandir she is disturbed, then she is scared after waking up, and then today she is smiling. The scenes and emotions are shown in such a disjointed way , I am not sure how close she is to coming back to Agra.
yeah it is hell confusing!😕 I dont know what CVs actually want to do with her? as if just to satisfy us, they r including her scenes😕 I thought after yesterday's epi, she will be distressed and worried for Jalal..anyway I liked the FB a lot😳😳 I guess CVs trying to show Jalal's memories r haunting Jodha and she will go crazy soon😉 and she is missing him like anything...I loved her "agar aap koshish karenge toh humein kaise accha nahi lagega Shehenshah?" she was so lost in her memoriesRuqaiyya: I think she is living in the childhood bubble that Jalal is her's to dominate and push / pull around ... Even if she made a mistake, he was her friend and would always come back to her. She is living in denial that this is no longer just her childhood friend Jalal.Ruqu is still on her bachpann..😕while Jalal has grown up, she is still in her childhood where she can make Jalal do anything for her as a playmateRandom musings that are not good enough to be a funny takeWhen there is not much movement in the story , I do tend to make some random observations so here is my five:- The way Adham Khan, Abul Mali, and Sharif are behaving ... I am surprised how they didn't end up killing each other and save Jalal the trouble- I think I know why they focused on Jalal dressing up for so long... He seems to have lost quite a bit of weight and they wanted to show it to us after all our complaintshe did lose weight...but need more before SR😉😆- Ruq's is wearing Ben's dupatta again from the nikkah ... What bad memories! Remember that if you have complaints about this track!- Maan Singh is back - when he has no Bua Sa to protect! When will the CVs give him something to do again!talk about it😕- With the rate of Jodha-Jalal flashbacks ... I can't help but wonder what else this jodi has already done?!? Are we missing something big?somebody said one fine day we will see Jodha sleeping beside a baby and in flashback we will get a chotu sa SR😳😕😆Please drop a note with your thoughts on both this thread and the episode - would love to hear your thoughts!the epi was good but your post is fab😳P.S. nothing to write bas Jodha vapas ajaye😆
somebody said one fine day we will see Jodha sleeping beside a baby and in flashback we will get a chotu sa SR😳😕😆
Beautiful Take DIVI Sunshine!!! 👏
Beautiful episode on all fronts because I managed to see more sensible expressions and dialogues in ALL of the characters - thus explaining the nuances of ALL the relationships well enough in JA today.
Why can't JA CVs keep up the pace and the crispness of the scenes - not one part felt stretched or rushed and every expression/sentence made sense to me
Ruqaiyya - Much as her reactions yesterday made her appear like an absolute fool - today we can see what's happening - she is clinging on to final straws. The fact that Jalal hasn't even turned once to her since his return (even before knowing of her hand in the Sujamal fiasco) and the fact that he preferred spending his night in an empty Jodha's room rather than with her or any other Begum is making her realize she's lost him forever. The fact that Jalal is never going to be hers in the same manner again is driving her insane!
Hoshiyaar's conversation with her made such sense - one can see how loyal he is to her, maybe not unlike how the slaves/KS of those days might have been!
MA - My God! What expressions on her face when she was waiting in her hojra till Resham came to fetch her (Resham's role is making such sense too and one can see the genuine affection between Resham and MA at this point)
How 'lost' did MA appear when sitting all alone on her couch - much as she said (and even did) all this for power - she can't come to terms with the reality that the price she had to pay for this power-politics was the loss of a truly loyal and loving son. She possibly was so blinded by the status and respect Jalal had given her so long that she failed to see the repercussions of any of her actions. 'Nothing can touch me till Jalal is on my side' had been her mantra. That formula has now been proven futile. Her defeatist expressions in the DEK were again amazing - 'What greater punishment for me than the fact that I've now lost the title of Ammijaan and am standing in front of my son like a culprit!'
The incidents have been such a shocker for her, she didn't even refute any of Atgah's words
The fact that she's lost a son is driving her insane!
ADHAM - I loved Adham showing earnest anger at the 'ruswaayi' that his mother was going through. I have always wondered if Adham loved MA as a mother or only as a step-stool for his own ambitions. Thankfully, I got to see glimpses of the former today.
His otherwise thundering powerful mother's downfall is driving him insane!
JALAL - As you noticed, one can only appreciate Jalal more and more with each passing episode. What a man... no serial character has blown away my breath as much as this guy and I've been following serials for 8 years now! Finally, RT perfectly portrayed how a strong king is affected by immense personal tragedies and how he's supposed to carry out his duty while not being allowed to breakdown. The manner with which he wore his royal adornments, the Quran adaab, his entry into the DEK with the royal music in the background - all exemplary.
Look at the way he rolls his fist as MA accepts all the charges against her! I am so glad they focussed only on the Jalal-MA angle today.
One sentence should be enough to describe what he must be going through 'I've always held your hand and sought your advice when in trouble and now I suddenly feel like a child who's hand has been let go by his mother in the middle of a busy bazaar... I feel lost'
Need I even explain what or why he's being driven insane?
HB- Thank God for small mercies... I've been crying and crying that this child needs a mother who can understand him and pray for him. Finally, I got to see a Jalal-oriented prayer from HB for her son and him alone. Phew
Her son's plight is making the mother in her lose her peace!
JODHA - Should I cheer or should I cheer - thank God for the flashbacks? The CVs have finally heard me... we are getting to see what she's going through. The list of what I'd hoped to see i.e. Jodha feeling/sensing/doing etc that I'd written elsewhere are coming to play one by one. Yesterday we saw the disturbed sleep and today the Tel Maalish scene. Today's scene was such a relief for many reasons - finally, I could see the woman missing her man - not a queen missing her king or any other excuse. (and no doubt, Jalal's teda avtaar was such a relief to see - even RT must have been fed up of crying and moping the past three weeks! The scene where a king does a tel maalish for his friend has been portrayed so beautifully! How sexy the manner in which he was undoing her choti as she sat down blushing nervously awaiting what was to come - very adorable picture after a long time)
Paridhi's lost expressions as she stared into the mirror, her sentences that weren't making much sense, the apt flashback - these are the kind of scenes we need to see more of to perceive a balance between the leads' feelings for one another (Not scenes like the Kali Ma mandir yesterday that really achieved nothing)
Thank you CVs - Now I definitely don't want her returning during the MA trials since that will again bring about empathy and kartavya rather than love. I want her only to return for the sake of 'love'
I can start seeing how her missing the Shehenshah and her love for the Shehenshah might slowly drive her insane.
Beautiful episode and good balance between all the delicate threads of relationships that the characters in this serial portray!

Divya, for once the emotions and the expressions and the dialogues of all the characters made sense - and though the epi was another 'Kheencho' - atleast from narrative pov it was a good one.Beyond this I dont have anything to add - RT and Ashwini as usual were their superlative selves - And best part, RT has lost serious weight!!!The Emperor has the worst job - MA gambled but lost it all - HB for once was a mother who was disturbed for her son and son alone - and finally Jodha seems to be shown missing her husband (though the actress still has a long way to go) - AK shows the anger of a son - and poor Ruqs shows the despair of one defeated by fate.
