When Jodha needed Jalal the most, he could not support her. Now he realizes hopefully how Jodha must have felt when the person she trusted and loved the most betrayed her. Unfortunately in this world, humans may forgive easily a repenting person, but God or nature or fate, whatever you want to call it, does not. Our deeds, good or bad, come to haunt us in this very life. Jalal is now learning also the power of God - that God is watching over us always and sooner or later, he makes us pay for what we do, knowingly or unknowingly.

This is such wonderful thought. Yes Jodha is held back in Amer with indecision in her mind maybe because the time for her to come to Agra had not yet come.

It is so ironic that the ONLY person Jalal doubted and threw out of his life Jodha is the one that he now realizes truly cared for him! Jalal is missing Jodha not just for love but for her loyalty and always standing by him.

I hope he remembers Jodha drinking poison for him and compares this to the behavior of MA & Rukayya. These 2 only care about their own self. Jodha was absolutely loyal to Jalal even when she hated him.

This is start of Akbar the Great journey and Jalal needs to look at every relationship of his with new eyes.

If Jodha was with him in Agra - Jalal would not have reacted the same way with MA.

Maddy, like i said yest , a true mom will never ask for the price of her milk... yest Jalal said same thing in diff way... a true mom loves her child without expectation, doesn't use him for her own selfish reasons...and yes, now he will see the difference, that when his own ppl like MA , Ruku were using him for their benefits, whatever Jo did was only for him, there was no motive to gain anything... just see now he will crave even more for her selfless love...

That is why SB's wonderful advice will make him think like a Shehenshah not as a son. HB in precap maybe tells him same thing.

Jalal will punish MA as Shehenshah simply because she is not fit person to hold this position. She is not loyal, she can plot against him, she has no remorse about harming an innocent Jodha in all this.

What is more MA with her vindictiveness put everybody at risk. How did MA know that Sujamal might not have tried to harm Jalal? Did she know this - No. MA was only concerned about her own personal agenda to drive Jodha away from Jalal and to do that in such a way that it should become impossible for them to get together again.

MA's truths will come in front of Jalal one by one cos Jodha needs to be by Jalal's side to give him strength now to really see MA for the vicious manipulative user that she is. MA does not love Jalal and only Jodha's love will give Jalal the strength to accept and acknowledge this without hurting him further.

Rukayya is extremely shallow selfish to the core person. Rukayya did not confide to Jalal out of any loyalty to him.

The scene went like this - Jalal told Rukayya that he is severing all relations with MA for what she did - this alarmed Rukayya cos she has been a willing partner in this. Rukayya ONLY confided to Jalal so he does not get to hear about this in DEK from MA directly!

See how Rukayya went about this - she did not stand in front of Jalal and say this to his face eye to eye - no Rukayya get near to him cuddled and tried to distract him by her nearness and then said sorry.

Jalal did not get caught up in Rukayya's nearness also. Jalal pushed Rukayya away from him cos he could not bear her touch and she fell on the tarazu.

I wish the CVs stop showing Jalal get physical this way. Jalal just removing Rukayya's hands from around him and getting away from her touch would have been as much impact full.

Rukayya is also not remorseful for what she did to Jodha. She does not care what Jodha went through, nor does Rukayya really care what Jalal is going through. If she was she would not cringe at SB saying Jodha will be back. Rukayya is feeling bad cos Jalal said to her that his loved ones harmed his heart.

Rukayya is feeling bad cos Jalal has started seeing through her and how Jalal is pained about Jodha being away from him. Rukayya is pained at Jalal saying MA took away his life's most precious happiness.

As usual Rukayya is at pain for her own selfish reasons. I so hope Jalal starts seeing through real Rukayya soon. She loves Jalal all right - just a miniscule percentage of the love she has for her own self for her audha.

Jodha's destiny will take her to Jalal and Jalal's destiny will unite him with Jodha - when they are supposed to.

I just wish CVs bring Jodha to Jalal on Thursday cos we can't bear to see Jalal in pain and Jodha apart from him. Jodha also maybe needs to learn some lesson - acknowledge her love to Jalal openly now - not in pain but in love. 😃

i don't think she will return tonight... but may be tomorrow or on monday... just when Jalal will start feeling like he is losing everything, i wish that would be perfect time to show her return...

good take, Mansi... yest's episode again reflected mindsets of those whoever were present on screen... their behavior certainly raised few questions , but there were another characters who answered those questions... Jalal, Maham, Hamida, and Jodha... all of them raised questions...and if we see the episode not just for Jalal or for Jodha or for both of them, but for the situations they faced and the solutions they want, then we have all answers in yest episode itself...

will put my take based on the points u have chosen...

I have four points to highlight about this episode ...

a. In the first place I was setting up my own expectations very high after the previous episode. I thought all of Maham's many saazishes would come tumbling out of the closet - or if not all, at least a substantial number of them. There was still the surang mystery, the dhakka paigam and the Shivani elopement issues to unravel.

I thought, a bit stupidly, that somehow the surang mystery and the Shivani issue may combine (for example, would Hamida tells Jalal about the surang, and would Jalal do a recce of the surang and find Shivani captive there?). But all this was just my feverish imagination because I couldn't account for the baby in the surang, nor did I have a theory of why Shivani may be there without Tejwant.

Then I realised that I was trying to rush things in my mind just to get enough reasons for Jalal to strip Maham totally of all responsibilities on Mahaguruvaar (after saying on Tuesday "Keep your audha and your life, you have lost a son"). Maybe by having too many expectations of yesterday's episode the ultimate airing of the episode made me feel it was a bit too flat and devoid of any real progress in the story.

Not just u, everybody, including me, expected a big dhamaka yest... we all were expecting , that now since they have started showing MA's downfall, it should come in just one stroke... but naturally CVs know their work well, i must say...they r showing her downfall step by step... and so every step will distance Jalal more from her , every step Jalal will become more independent, every step he will understand the gravity of mistakes, insults and tortures he had made Jo gone through, right since their marriage, and so at every step he will miss her more, will miss her care and support, will miss her warmth, will miss her insight, and will miss her strength... and if all this is to be shown, then it can't be wrapped in just one episode... it started this week, now let's give them atleast one more week, to give a perfect final touch, when MA will be finally exposed in front of him, and then he will be devastated to last core, and then there will be two new relationships which will help him face himself once again... one of Jo and another with HB...

b. I somehow did not like the tarazu mnemonic to be used for a Jalal-Ruq scene because I have become a bit possessive over the tarazu being used only for Jodha-Jalal scenes. So I didn't like it one bit that Ruq was there in that sacrosanct place with Jalal ... and moreover, I didn't like him confiding his troubles to Ruq.

The only good part of the scene was that Ruq herself then started blabbering and let out her part in the whole Sujamal saga (that she knew that there was a Rajvanshi man impersonating Dilawar Khan and that she was jealous of Jodha and had thus abetted Maham).

At first I thought Ruq would not tell Jalal all this herself, and may in fact hate his crying for the lost love of Jodha. But Ruq took me by surprise. She started crying along with him. On hindsight I feel she was smart to have blurted out everything before Maham exposed her at the DEK to Jalal. So to an extent Ruq has saved her own skin by owning up to Jalal and saying she only abetted Maham because Maham said she was trying to trap the Rajvanshi man into revealing himself to them all!

i felt the tarazu scene was perfect... there r Jalal and Jodha, who always come there to solve the conflicts in their mind... with a true wish that while doing justice with one person, there should not be injustice with other... and when one of them is unsure of his/her actions, other balances it with his/her support...

yest he was facing such conflict again... and this time it was Ruku who was with him at that place... and what she done? instead of giving him strength and support, she tried to save herself... and then salima, while consoling Jalal used Jo's name, coz she knows very well, that even Jo's name is enough to keep Jalal on right track, though Jo is not there personally... and we saw, it worked like a magic... now when Jalal will act against MA , he won't be just a Shehenshah, he will also be Jo's husband and lover...

and so i felt the tarazu scene held the right meaning to show who rightfully belongs there besides him while making the right decision, with perfect balance and justice... it's only Jo, never Ruku, who doesn't have the mindset to understand the symbolism of that tarazu in Jalal's life...

c. I thought Hamida's reactions to hearing the story of Maham's exposure was a bit tame. Considering the degree of distress Hamida had about Jodha's absence and non-return to Agra, and the way she scolded Jalal about it, I had thought that she would display more vehemence yesterday when she came to know that Maham had separated Jodha and Jalal wilfully. I also thought Hamida would be more concerned that Maham had betrayed Jalal and his love for her as a mother figure. But on both counts, she was a bit too lukewarm, I thought. All that I saw Hamida do was to sink into the sofa and say something to the effect of "Hai, hai, yeh kya ho gaya", which didn't seem good enough for me.

You know what folks, I find it - and have always found it - a bit strange that Hamida takes Jalal's love for his Badi Ammi with so much equanimity. I would have expected her to be more jealous, or perhaps more aggressively loving towards Jalal in order to assert her own status as his real mother. So yesterday when I saw Hamida's relatively reaction-less response to hearing about Maham's betrayal of Jalal, and her saazish in sundering Jodha and Jalal, something looked definitely missing.

Hamida could have shown one of three reactions more strongly:

- She could have felt more dismayed at Maham's treacheryand ruination of Jalal's life.

- She could have displayed more glee that Maham was no longer a competitor-mother to Jalal.

- She could have felt more for Jodha's separation from Jalal by Maham.

All three reactions were missing. Which brings me back to the point of why over all these years she did not put up any resistance to Jalal's doting on Maham, nor to Maham's inordinate powers in the Sultanate. She was too resigned, too comfortable with Maham and her stature and closeness to Jalal than I would have preferred. But at least I thought her reaction to hearing of how Maham had separated Jodha from Jalal would be stronger. I guess Hamida is a placid disturb-me-not character by Nature? She has raised her voice in anger on some occasions but it has never amounted to much change in anyone in the end!

Hamida's reaction was right, considering her true relation with Jalal... why i m saying this, then u have to see the starting MA-Jalal scene again... Jalal calls himself orphan in that scene, and MA is taken aback hearing that... see that scene once again... Jalal takes three names , Humayun, BK and MA... and loss of these three makes him feel like orphan... he doesn't even think of HB still being as his mother... coz for him HB never existed as his mother... even not now... after this , if he had gone to HB, she would have consoled him properly, but he should have gone to her... she won't... coz the moment she had come to know abt this, and she would have rushed to Jalal to console him, he would have seen her as opportunist and would have hated her more, would have distanced from her even more...would habe blamed her for being responsible for the whole mess, that coz she stayed away from him, all this happened to him, and now when he has failed she is trying to get close to him seeing it as a chance...as a queen of the empire, HB has seen the best and worst phases of life... she has survived through them... she understands situations better than anybody else... and she is a very good decision maker...i feel HB is wisest person in whole Agra clan... though Jalal is not close to her, HB knows better what her son needs at what time...and so she sent Salima... that was perfect...

here see the joke... both HB and Humayun were equally away from Jalal , still Humayun holds imp place in Jalal's life and heart, while a mother who understands him better even without looking at him , doesn't even exist in his mind and heart... for him she is more a queen mother, who betrayed him of her love...

like i said before there were questions on character's behavior, and the reply came from other character... see abt HB's being away from Jalal , and Jalal was reply for that... he doesn't count HB to be near him, even now he misses Jo when HB is there... and the fact that Jo is not that close to him yet, Jo doesn't understand him fully yet, like HB does, still he wishes Jo to be with him and not HB...

yest had she gone to console him, Jalal wouldn't have gone close to her, even though she would have taken her in his arms... coz he opens to her only when Jo is concerned... the true mother-son relationship is yet to start... and that's what will happen, once MA is completely out of his life, after Jo comes back... coz as far as i know, Jalal/Akbar had become equally close to HB, the way he was with MA... only after MA's departure...and then that relationship lasted till HB was alive...

d. How typical it was for Adham and Maham to bypass the message and try to shoot the messenger! After all the analysis they did of the situation, Maham was seen absolving Jalal of all blame and making light of her own misdeeds. Instead she said the villain of the piece was Atga Khan, something that sounded like sweet music to her son's ears.

I guess, as Abhay would say, this is one more nail in the coffin of the Adham-Atga enmity. Poor Atga Khan, his own bad times are approaching and his life is in jeopardy. Fate has hastened his departure by making him the recipient of Ahtmaad Khan and Dilawar Khan's story and put him in the position of further incensing Adham and Maham by sneaking to Jalal about this issue.

The fact that he is closing in on Adham's accounting frauds was already putting Atga in a dangerous position vis a vis Adham ... but now this also? Poor, poor Atga!

these two r from the crowd, who always think what they do is always right... rather they think the world revolves around them... and so when anything wrong happens, for them the world is to blame... coz they r always right... only the worst shock that brings out the truth that the world has moved on leaving them behind in their dreamland, can make them face the reality... and the result is two ways... either they change to become a good soul, or they become destroyers... let's see which way these to go...

and abt Jo, then she is still facing dilemma btw her love for him, and her mistrust that come next MU and he won't cut her from his life again... the day she will understand, that her love holds the power to make him trust her with his life, and when she would believe that he trusts her just as much as he trusts himself, Jo will go back to him...

with MA's downfall, Jalal's repentance has been started... there will be one point where he will lose all his strength to hold himself up after more backstabbing from these so-called his ppl will come in front of him, and there he will need Jo and HB most...

so i think, Jo still has some time to make her mind.😉...coz this time her returning to him will be for no return back... ever... atleast let's hope so...

Diksha fabulous post. I just loved how you described HB and Jalal relationship. Diksha you have a way of writing that makes all the doubts vanish from the mind. I did not dislike HB but I was thinking after reading Mansi and Radhika why not? I also wrote a post on Jalal HB in reply to Mansi Radhika.

Your take is so much better and bang on. HB understands Jalal and even though he is distant from her she knows where his future lies and who can make him truly happy.

HB does not desire anything much for her son the Shehenshah - what all HB wants is for her son Jalal. So she safeguards his interests when he is away - by giving go ahead to Adga K about Adham, by following MA and later making her show the place.

Still what HB really wants is for her son to be happy, to be loved by his awam to be a good person before he can be a good Shehenshah. There was a dialogue by HB in earlier episodes where she had lamented that wish Jalal understood he should rule the hearts of his people and once he finds his heart he will realize it.

Jodha has found Jalal\s heart and HB is upset that Jalal lost her.

I really wish to see Jalal HB bond get stronger.

About Jodha - the episodes are soona soona without her by Jalal's side. I do hope to see them together sooner.

I have different take on why Jodha should be there by Jalal's side now
Jalal has seen through MA for the first time now. Jalal said everything to her how she used his shoulders to better her position. Later with Rukayya - Jalal asks her why MA was insecure about Jodha, when both have their own position in his life.

Jalal by nature is forgiving of his near and dear ones acts and it might not take him long to start feeling maybe MA was insecure. So Jalal needs to see all acts of MA come before him so he can really be rid of her from his life, she is a parasite that needs to be removed.

Only Jodha can given Jalal the strength to face upto all the betrayals that are going to come before him. Once Jodha by his side Jalal can face upto them. He needs a calm mind right now it is hurting.

I hope to see Jodha back with Jalal sooner - not after an even longer separation.

Nobody expects perfection from them but a little more involvement and a little more empathy will go a long way in helping their children even now. A mother is always a mother till she dies. She cannot simply censure a child who is now an adult without also taking the pains to help them face the consequences of their actions, and set them on the right path. A mother is God on earth. She cannot ever let go the hand of her child, no matter how old they are. If they fall, she must hold them, and help them get back on their feet again.

Now let me add a few lines to your post. I also know you won't mind. 😳 You know how I've been asking in my posts about what Jalal can do to assure Jodha that he will not mistrust her again. There was some consensus among many of us that he needed to talk to her and then show her thru actions that he meant everything he said. Talking is not really their forte. They can argue, discuss stuff, taunt, indulge in nok jhonk and generally fill time with words, but they don't really talk from the heart freely. They prefer to let silence speak for them and their comfort level with each other. As for action, everyone knew he could do nothing in Amer and had to return to Agra. But my question was what could he do even in Agra to prove his love and trust for Jodha so that all her fears evaporated once and for all? The answer eluded me till last night. Finally, yesterday's episode gave me the answer I was looking for. I don't know how many will agree on this. But it satisfied me.

Jodha had to put her life on the line to prove her love and loyalty. What can Jalal do to surpass this and prove his love and loyalty? He has already beseeched God once, after the Ben track, to return his Jodha to him because he cannot live without her. God in his benevolence heard his prayers and returned Jodha to him. But Jalal failed to live upto the assurances he had given God that he would always love and take care of Jodha, as a gift from God. How many times can even God forgive anyone? How many chances can God give to anyone? Jalal could not just cry again and again in front of God for his Jodha to be returned to him, hoping the merciful God would oblige him every time. He also had to pass the litmus test, like Jodha had.

And last night, he did just that. When the crunch time came and he had to choose between his badi ammi and Jodha, he chose Jodha. Even his own family and his badi ammi were shocked by this turn of events, but there was never any doubt in Jalal's mind about whom to choose. In one moment, he simply removed MA from his life, like a cancerous growth is removed by a doctor. The "mother" he had worshipped next to Allah, whom he had adored and loved more than his own mother, whom he had trusted blindly, to whom he had surrendered his unflinching loyalty and whom he had exalted to the most powerful position in the sultanat next only to him. Simply because she had hurt the one person who he loved beyond compare. Simply because she had taken away from him his greatest treasure, his very life, his breath, his Jodha.

Could Jodha ever have imagined that Jalal would give up his badi ammi for her sake, to prove his love for her? Like that old man had said in the jungle, if you want something, you have to give up that which is most precious to you. Jalal did not think twice to give up his badi ammi for the sake of his true love. What more proof does Jodha need in word or action than this?

And what greater sacrifice does God need from Jalal to prove beyond doubt that he is well and truly repentant and willing to go to any length to get back Jodha. The irony of Jalal Jodha relations -

Jalal married Jodha out of hate and he told her he will protect her from the world but who will protect her from him?
The irony is Jalal did not protect Jodha - not from MA, not from Rukayya, not from SD-BB and not from Ben!
Jodha vowed hatred for Jalal but Jodha is the one who protected Jalal from death at Ben's hands, from having to end his marriage with Rukayya, from the hatred of his awam which Jodha turned into love!

Jodha is the one person Jalal threw out of his life - the irony today he can see how wrong he was.
Jodha is the one most loyal to him. While those he trusted or rather had blind faith in have betrayed him, backstabbed him in the worst way harmed him scarred him emotionally.
Jodha with revenge in mind is the one who is most loyal most deserving of Jalal's trust.

MA and Rukayya betrayed him for their benefit while Jodha did not tell him something but only to protect his own life.
Jodha drank poison to save his life when he had uttered the words to her that he will not turn to look at her face even if she was dying!

Jodha and Jalal have turned their hatred into love inspite of everybody plotting against them.

This is going to be Jalal's watershed moment

Jalal already loves Jodha but now he will see that she is the one he should have full trust on, she is the one who will never backstab him, Jodha is the one who will not be disloyal to him. Best thing is Jodha thinks of him as her husband first and Shehenshah later, she loves the man. MA pretended to love him for being Shehenshah.

I hope Jalal sees the truth now and from now on it is Jalal who should protect Jodha. Once Jodha is back and he gets the reassurance of her love and her being always by his side - I hope Jalal now cherishes Jodha and protects her from the wolves in Agra.

The irony is they both started with hate, doubts about other and extreme mistrust and look at Jodha Jalal now - they love each other and know the trust has to be built upon now.
