Hi All- So, I am doing a major flip-flop and am back with my Take 5.
A few folks requested me very keenly that they would like me to continue ... That being said, a few disclaimers Om Puri style 😆:
- Due to personal reasons, I do not have the time to respond to posts individually ... I would still love to read your thoughts but I will only be able to leave a like
- Hence, it is only fair that I not expect posts from you ... But if you hit the like button I will know you read it
- All views are welcome here, but you know I will continue to express mine
So, this is an experiment- if folks continue to like it, I will continue.
So, here is my take 5:
(1) The love and vishwaas in Jalal's eyes: I love how the Ameris continue to recognize Jalal's love for Jodha ... Including Mainwati's sister-in-law ... The way she said that his eyes show his love and confidence that he will find Jodha ... Jalal will make sure Jodha returns safely. I love how there is some one that appreciates Jalal.
(2) The mention of Todar Mal: Was I the only one who had a broad smile on my face when Todar Mal was mentioned as the runner of the ashram ... I hope it is a sanket that this logical, grounded, respectful person will be entering the Agra court soon.
I was surprised Jodha didn't remember the name- it was quite an important night when they met him... CVs short term memory loss may be spreading to her as well ... But, it was a good thing, or else she might have realized Todar Mal would recognize her and continued roaming around ... Phew, at last she reached destination- Mathura.
(3) Paridhi's performance: I never had any critique of Paridhi's performance ... CVs have let her down by not giving Jodha a steady development graph. Any other time I would have cheered that Jodha admitted her love for Jalal and prayed for him. She went as far as saying I was not able to win his trust ... But let's see if she takes the next step of realizing what she could do differently so that what happened never happens again ...
But the fact that she prayed for him to not be worried about her and find his true love ... Shows to me that Jodha has still not understood Jalal one bit. Because that is exactly what Jalal is feeling for her. 😕
It will take a while for me to gain full trust of the dialogues the CVs give to Jodha - because I am pretty sure when she sees Jalal she will say "I do not love you anymore and will not come back." See the CVs have lost my trust, now I will have to see if they decide to keep Jodha consistent or not. I truly hope they do make her into the real love of Jalal as she is the only option! 😊
(4) Badal-Kajri in flashback: I love flashback scenes as they remind me of the Jodha and Jalal I fell in love with ... Particularly, during the Badal-Kajri track. The chapathi making scene is one of my favorite scenes as the banjaran recognized Jodha's prem and Jalal felt Jodha's pain when she burst his hand.
I am glad Jalal remembered that scene and that Jodha! That is the Jodha I like to remember as well! 👏
(5) Jalal nailed his emotions throughout the episode ... We need to forget he is the Shehenshah for the moment... He is only a husband looking for his wife and from that perspective he nailed it. I loved to see the relief when he thought he was going to find Jodha ... Hopefully that day will come soon for his sake more than anything else.
I loved how he looked up to God for a way to find a way to his problem ...
It felt like him telling him the Om Shanti Om dialogue- itni shiddat se maine tumhe paane ki koshish ki hai ki har zarre ne mujhe tumse milane ki koshish ki hai... kehte hai agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho toh poori kaynath tumhein usse milane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai... (Rima4ever, I copied this from your posts- hope you have quoted it correctly- just kidding! 😆)
The poor guy needs that support and consolation!
A few fun take 5 mentions, in completely good spirit:
- These Ameris place a lot of influence on reading eyes, Bharmal, the sister-in-law ... No wonder, Jodha places so much emphasis on eye reading ... Sorry guys, just could not resist 😉
- When Jalal goes towards the ladies and they screamed, "Mughals! Mughals!" He should have noticed that there is another problem in his public. Had Adham Khan been around lately? 😉
- Salima Begum's SW's must have stalked the forum ... I have read her dialogues somewhere 😆
- Ruqs continues to display the harmful effects of hukka ... She continues to deny that Jalal has a heart. Tobacco companies should protest!
- Jalal has had a lot of dress changes ... How many days have passed? How long has he survived without sleep? How long has Jodha been walking by foot with no risks to her safety?
