Disclaimer: First of all, I would like to make it clear to all that what ever I talk here is purely on Jodha & Jalal and has nothing to do with Paridhi and Rajat. They have just created the electricity even when they stood yards apart and I can't blame the actors for the creative team's mistake. If we could make out the mistakes, they could have done much better than us.
Jalal kissed Jodha thrice and Jodha evened it by kissing him thrice. But did they really kiss each other? I would say no...
The torn out Jalal with fear of losing his wife, half expecting her to have gone already comes to the doors of her room and finds her in flesh and bone. He should have sighed with little relief finding her not gone. Did we see that? No, I didn't. He was slightly hesitant to enter, quiet natural still entered her room with great difficulty as he was full of remorse and even we saw her moving towards him in snail pace. That's expected and I have no qualm there. But what happened next is beyond my wits.
I could not see the same relief he felt when he saw Ruqu returned after Ben's abduction. He just marched to her in a single leap and hugged her tight and kissed her forehead in such intensity, that can re-watch it just for the intensity he showed there...
We could not see the same sharpness when he kissed Jodha on her forehead. It was so full of life. Yes the situation is different here, he is guilty but still, here also (even if it was dream) he would have lost her forever and when he saw her in flesh, standing in front of him, slightly hurt, little dejected and with a bit of hope, a bit scare and little shy expecting him to explode or express himself... He should have shown the relief he felt on seeing her still in the palace and not left as he feared, stressed after the chase and sheepishness for mistaking her, no he didn't expressed any of those. he just came and said mechanically, I am relieved that you have not left... (Was he hinting that you didn't obey my orders? 😉 sorry kidding) She was equally mechanical in saying how could you expect me to leave just because you asked me to? wow, what a pair. Looks like they shot this scenes separately and mixed. The falls on his knees, I would have loved it he fell on his knees as they gave away once he realized she is there for him and is even ready to pardon him, but who asked me to expect so much? He just got on his knee to seek pardon And Jodha didn't say a word against it (normally she should have said, it doesn't give shobha to a shehenshah to ask for forgiveness and the most important word that whatever happened has happened because of the fate (haalaat), the situation as she could not reveal the truth due to circumstances and at the same time, he was not wrong in accusing has he was unaware of her relationship with Sujamal, that they were puppets in the hands of the situation. But no, no such things but for a simple sentence" forget the past. Even the tears betrayed them in yesterday's episode. They could have shed some more tears; i mean nonstop and not off and on.
When Jodha lifted him from the ground, he hugged her and her head was cradling exactly between his shoulder and chest and that was perfect, Then wheh he saw her tears, he tried to kiss her tears..."It should have been like he is trying to drink her sorrow in the form of tears by drinking those tears but what we saw is that he
just wiped it (not really) with his much (that too one corner of his much as hir cheek was in parallel to her cheek and his lips didn't even made contact on her skin. It was the same way for Jodha, how could they make her venture to wipe his tears through her lips just because he did it? She would not have that courage to do so in her first acceptance.
Instead what could have been done to intensify the scene as we know fantasy or dream is the extreme form of hopes which one may not be able to fulfill in reality.
They could have left them on the ground for a while just hiding their tears from each other, quivering with the line of incidents happened in the recent past, how they would have lost their life in those fateful moment... Then they could have supported each other to get up, still holding hands, fearing that the other might vanish if they leave the hand, with so much reluctance, expecting the other to speak with hopeful eyes seeing each other. The trying to speak out their heart and the words fail them with choked emotions, blinking back the tears to hide it from the other to save them from the misery and yet failing to do so. Then he gathers her abrupt and squeeze her to his chest and tears can fall continuously soaking his chest and her hair. There was no need for words or those kiss.
That would have been a wonderful reconciliation...
