Just one initial point. If jalal manages to stay alive only courtesy jodha and family, as impressed by the serial makers, wonder how he kept himself alive before he married jodha.

That he was alive and hale and healthy when he married her is proof enough that he has the smarts to survive and his own near ones who also cared for his life.

The only way I see here is the total and abject surrender from Jodha that may actually go in healing this particular wound and it will take years - and perhaps something like this must have happened in their lives becoz Jodha never ever left Akbar's corner even for her children - infact it is recorded that she was also his travel companion even during the wars after 1575 that he fought personally and in all his travels across the Sultanate even before that. She must have put him above everyone, including her children and that cannot have happened just like that - All I can say is that the real Queen was lucky to get such a man who was capable of living his life so totally and completely - and yes Akbar would also be called lucky if she reciprocated in the same manner.

As usual, Adiana, I agree with you completely. If I had been Jalal, I would never have felt the same towards Jodha again. There would have been a crack in the glass that could never have been repaired.

But neither the CVs nor the bulk of the audience would have room for these subtleties, nor the sensitivity to understand them. So you and I and all those of like mind will have to mull over this matter, and others like, it on our own.

Loved every inch of his post Shyamala Aunty! Thank you so much for writing it.
You captured every emotion of Rajat/Jalal in that scene, My favorite was when first he said that my heart is not willing to distrust you ... Please tell me who he is! Even in all this pain... His heart was telling him to still trust her.

I was shocked more than anything by Jodha's silence especially when the purpose of the vachan was rendered useless. For a second, I was wondering, why / to who is Jalal pouring his heart?

My biggest hurt was when she answered "yes" to the "do you love him" question
- First, he obviously mentioned a different mohabbhat ... Things are not so black and white in life
- Second, even if she thinks she has mohabhat for Sujamal, if she can lie to Jalal for a vachan to her brother, can she not "lie" to save her husband from self-destructing

I know you don't like blaming the CVs- but the only logic in Jodha's behavior and the vachan was dragging the actual MU. Jodha was more responsive when he accused her for Ruqs' MC.

Thanks Aunty- hope another miracle comes soon that you are forced to post again 😊

Thank you, my dear Ash. That one comment makes the 5 hours it took me to do this one more than worthwhile.

You are absolutely right in all your comments, especially the very last one. She was unbelievably insensitive, and she claims to love him too! If you love anyone, how can you stand there like a lamp post and let him stew in hellfire?

Plus, she is a one woman demolition machine; thru her folly, she put paid to both Sujamal and Jalal. Jalal was much better off when he had no dil.

Your post completed RT's performance, it is splendid👏
Jodha didn't have to utter why Sujamal was in harem, even if she had told Jalal that it was her bhaisa, Jalal wouldn't have been shattered, at that point of time, for him it only mattered who was that man, and Sujamal had asked her not to mention about their meetings, he didn't ask to hide his identity? As Jodha was surprised, when Jalal accused her of adultery and asked who was that man?
For me, as I said in my earlier post, nothing can justify jodha's silence, many questioned in the forum, how can you choose between your brother and husband, ( I have a brother and ofcourse I understand, both relation holds it's separate importance). but here it was definitely not an option, by her truth, her husband can be saved by the pain he has to suffer for lifetime and her brother' slice would be saved+ her honour would be intact. And for a Rajvanshi women it does matter and is it right by her dharma, to make your husband suffer lifelong? Which vachan tells you to do that?
Jalal made me cry yesterday. He was so helpless in her love, all he wanted to know was, if Jodha loves another man, even if Jodha had told, no shehensha "hum apse prem karte hain", Jalal would have let go everything.

I agree with your first sentence , Adiana, and I must thank you for restoring my faith in the real Jodha, so different from this one, the Lord be praised!

As for this one making a total and abject surrender, no such thing will be on the cards. Any surrender will be from our Jalal's side. You will see.

Thank you so very much, my dear Divya. It was somehow tough to do; I had to watch that segment 5 times, and that was bad enough, but the actual writing was not easy either. Anyhow, I am glad I did not disappoint you.

As for your comments, I agree with them in toto. Especially about that mohabbat bit. She was awful, the idiotic woman.

I can't beleive that I read just half!
Half z remaining n I gotta go n njoy sunday eve.
Bt one thing, I wonder y Jo did not tell this to Ammijan or Salima begum?
She could have!
She could have asked Jalal to bring Salima as she herself z vivash, as she claimed!
Salima ka kahan mention tha vachan mein?
Ye toh wo bohot pehle kar sakti thi, when Salima questioned her, post Harem fiasco!
Salima has helped her before too!
Shehenshah ki jaan bachane k liye help leni thi na!
Jo ko to Agra reh rehkar kantala aya tha shayad!
So she wanted to roam around!
So itni badi prankster nikli!

Fantastic post, I always love to read your reactions and perceptions to a particular segment or episode of JA. I absolutely agree word to word for what you have written both with respect to Rajat's Jalal and Jodha-Sujamal. 👏👏👏

While yes, some people may take it as, Jalal should be 'Hurt' that his better half agrees to see him in agony rather than break the promise and do not trust him with her deepest secrets, something which, he told her in his monologue, after truth is revealed to him...but if he not reacts in that way is perfectly fine...which will be shown, Jalal will be "Hurt" cause he will despise himself of thinking so lowly of his wife, as somewhere deep down inside his conscience he knew he was wrong and yet, he let himself to be followed by shaq...may be he'll complain to her that she doesn't trust him enough but I'm sure the sport that he is, he'll take up it as challenge to win her trust, confidence in him...as he'd said earlier, that he'll wait for Jodha of the day she will tell him her dreams...What a person learns and makes out of a situation, makes or breaks him. This is totally my POV.

As for the cartwheel kiss...Jalal already found a solution and therefore, he kisses on the cheek opposite to where cartwheel is pasted 😉
