"Dad cut it out..I don't wanna discuss the same things again and again", said a frustrated Jalal.

"No Beta.. What we are saying is for your own good.. your Abbu and Ammi are not crazy to say and decide anything just like that.. Beta try and understand our point of view... Please", said Mr. Humayun.

Jalal had had enough of it. The 28-year mature man was fed up of this marriage discussion which took place in their home almost daily.

"Dad.. How many times will I have to tell you that I already love her and I cannot marry someone else..I repeat..I cannot marry someone else other than her..", said a furious and stern Jalal.

Mrs.Hameeda sat back on the sofa with a thud. Both Jalal and Mr.Humayun turned towards her with worried and shocked faces.

"Ammi..", he rushed towards her in a worry. He reached to her and sat on his knees and asked his mother if she was okay.

"Beta.. They are our old family friends.. Their daughter is just perfect for our house.. and most importantly, she's the one for you.. trust me beta.. We have more experience of life than you do.. and we are so sure about her..she is the one made for our family", said a pleading and tensed Hameeda.

Jalal got up in a fury.

"Why don't you both get it.. Why are you forcing me to marry someone about whom I know nothing.. And why should I think about anyone else if I already love a girl.. Ammi, Abbu.. Understand one thing clearly..No matter how much you both try to convince me, I am not going to change my decision.. I have already promised her that I'll marry only her..and I will not break my promise at any cost.." said Jalal with a finality in his voice.

"But we have already talked to them.. We have seen their daughter.. We have confirmed this rishtaa.. We know it was our fault that we didn't talk to you about this... But that was because, we knew you won't refuse.. Beta the only reason that we are asking you to marry her is that She is perfect.. The one you love is not meant for you Jalal.. We have seen shrewdness in her eyes and our eyes won't deceive us.. Moreover, don't you know she has dumped many men before you, just because they were not rich..And" , said Hameeda but as she was about to say something more, Jalal cut her in between.

"Basss.. Bass Ammi.. I can't believe you are trusting rumors.. She's nothing like the one you are describing.. She has supported me whenever I felt low.. and I don't know when but I fell for her.. Now you are telling me some false gossips about her and asking me to marry someone alien.. Are you kidding me Ammi?.." said an enraged Jalal.

Before Mr.Humayun and Mrs. Hameeda could try to convince their son further, Jalal got up from there and climbed up the hallway stairs and made his way to his room.

"Beta... listen to us.. you didn't even have your dinner", called out worried Hameeda.

But it was late. Jalal had already reached to his room and the banging sound of a closing door was audible to both, Humayun and Hameeda, who were in the downstairs living hall.

They were highly tensed upon this sensitive issue. They were broad-minded about the relationships topics and all, but the fact that they wanted only her' to be their Bahu and their son's wife remained above all. Her parents had supported Mr.Humayun when he was bankrupt. Jalal was small then. Only because of the help received from her family, did the business Empire of Mr.Humayun could flourish back.

"Is ladke kaa kyaa hoga?", asked tensed Hameeda.

"Abhi naadaan hai.. He'll have to forget her and marry the girl we want him to marry..I'll make sure we get these two married soon.", said Mr.Humayun confidently.

Both of them made their way to their room, hoping that the coming day would bring in some hopes for them. After all, the girl and her family were coming to their home next day.

*Jalal's room*

He sat at his study-table all silent. His eyes were red with anger. He had never found himself in such a dilemma ever before. His parents were dearest to him no doubt, but he could not ignore his love at any cost, not for some unknown girl at least.

He banged his palm against the table out of anger. His parents were everything to him. Then why didn't they understand his feelings? Why were they after his happiness? Why did they want him to get married to someone he's unknown to?

His head throbbed with frustration. He loved her beyond words. She has always been his support. Yes, even he had heard the stories of, her dumping men, and that too, because they were poor or could not make up to her tantrums or demands, but he didn't believe them. He knew she was very modern and lived a highly spoilt-brat kind of life. But he had fallen for her. Love doesn't see what's wrong, what's right.. Does it?

He could not make out a solution of this problem. He knew his parents were adamant in their decision and that's what made it painful for him. How will he ever convince them about his marriage with his love when they had already presumed her to be wrong?

He decided to leave things for now, for his head was continuously pulsating with anger. He got up from the chair, made his way to bed and slowly laid down. But his mind still struggled with the thoughts of the girl' his parents were talking about. Marrying her was an impossible thing. He got shivers as soon as he thought about it. For an hour, his mind was preoccupied with all the things that were slowly becoming a mess; his love, his parents and that unknown girl and her family.

It took another one hour for him to get some sleep. Finally, he was sleeping.

*Morning*

His alarm started ringing at the time he had set to get up. He was in a deep sleep. His alarm seemed to fail to wake him up.

Hameeda entered his room and put off the alarm.

"Beta, get up.." said Hameeda lovingly as she cleared the mess at his study table.

Jalal could hear the soft voice of his mother and slowly, he opened his eyes.

"Good Morning Ammi.." said Jalal cozily as he wrapped up the blanket over his body. The December morning had been chilly ofcourse.

"Good Morning beta.. chalo get up now.. You are getting late for your work naa..", said Hameeda as she sat beside a sleeping Jalal and caressed his hair.

"Bas 5 minutes aur..please.." Jalal was in no mood to get up as he wanted to sleep and be away from the worldly thoughts.

"Chalo chalo utho.. No 5 min 10 min.. its already 8:00 am", said Hameeda warmly.

Jalal got up with a startle. He rubbed his eyes and saw the time. God! It was indeed 8:00 am..

"Lekin maine to 6:00 am ka alarm lagaya thaa.." asked a confused Jalal.

"Haan.. but I changed it to 8:00 am because I wanted you to sleep comfortably and for longer time...you have been cutting out on your sleep lately", said Hameeda in a scolding tone..

Jalal patted his forehead in despair. God! He was late for his work.

"Because of this sleep, I'll be late..", he protested.

"So what beta, you are working in your Dad's office only naa.. and thode dino mein to you'll be the Boss.. don't take tension", said Hameeda.

"Working in Dad's office.. So what?! You already know naa Ammi that I never ever compromise with my duty and routine.. I never take advantage of being the son of our company's head.."..said Jalal in an annoyed tone as he got up to get ready for his work.

He quickly went to freshen up and within fifteen minutes, he was ready to go to his work. As soon as he made his way out of his room, Hameeda called back.

"Acha suno beta.. aaj shaam ko vo log aa rahe hain.. Get back home early with your Dad.."

"What?!" he exclaimed in a surprised-cum-shocked tone.

"Yes.. They are coming.. We want that you and her should talk to each other.. and meet frequently from now on..We'll soon fix your marriage"..

"Ya Allah" he was almost losing his calm.

Without uttering any single word, he left from there saying that he'll have his breakfast in the office.

*Office - 2:00 pm*

After having his lunch, he sat back on his table to proceed with the presentation work. But his mind was preoccupied with his Ammi's words.

"What the hell!!" he screamed in a low voice. Suddenly he got an idea. He took out his mobile and called her.

"I want you to come with me to my home this evening" he said to her.

"But why Jalal.. why all of a sudden?" came her reply.

"You have to come with me.. bass!" his voice being stern.

"Okay..okay..fine... but tell me whats wrong", she asked in a curious way.

"I'll come at your house at 5:00pm sharp.. You be ready.. I'll tell you everything on our way back to my home.."

"Okay"

He cut the call and a smile crept upon his face.
