When I saw it in epi, I felt it was cos later when MA tells him Jo went to meet somebody at night in temple, MA will also say she learnt about the meeting when she read the message on leaves,when she searched Moti after the attack on Adga etc.

So it was probably for MA to tell Jalal how she learnt of this, and then MA can tell she did not believe Jo can behave this way blah blah so she herself followed Jo and saw with her own eyes!

Then Jalal will remember the leaves in Jodha's hands. BTW I saw in repeat - When Jalal comes Jo is talking about having to meet and Mo saying no. Then Moti had the paigam in her hand but Jo takes it in her hands! Then when she does pranam it fell down, so maybe it is for Jalal to remember that paigam after MA tells him how she learnt!
