hi everyone!

something has been bothering me about the sbs type serials that dominate the telly industry where the female lead has halo around her head and is worshiped by all except for one main negative character! will such be the fate of our beloved serial where real akbar's achievements will be shown all because of jodha and not his own self or his very capable 9 gems?..for example the tasneem track..now abolishing slavery..and then i hope not the pilgrimage tax!!!

was it all done by jodha begum and nothing goes to akbar's credit??..i know she had powers being MUZ but akbar was akbar! an intelligent man and a good human by nature! not metamorphed under jodha's influence!

i am not against jodha's good influence on his life but i am against what cvz are gearing towards..a typical sbs hindi telly serial! i want them to show the reality of what exactly happened as per history with pinch of fiction and not the other way round!

i like jodhas character a lot...but i want Jalal of this show to be far intelligent than Jodha...
i think its time now to teach jodha to learn from jalal...

i thnk more focus was given to jodhas character,,, anything more is turns to diabetes'''

now makers should concentrate on Jalal...

i think Jalals character is stuck up after religion change issue ...

i hope tax abolistion track will show his good will infront of audeince... i dont want Jodha to influence in all the matters...

I think/hope Jodha teaches him importance of family and love... but here she is in more of politics..

its Jodha who need to learn what is love first... she is not moving ahead at all... but she is becoming influetial person in harem, instead of being in his life...😆

Mandy from what I've read on the forum, Jalal is far from being an emperor in this show. Is he spending days and hours pacifying his wives and voting in harem elections? Voting? An emperor needs to distance himself from these matters. First, he should not have the time, second he can't the type of personality that gets sidetracked with domestic issues. If he loves Jodha above and beyond any other, then fair enough - he's the boss, he should make his preference known and then leave the rest to sort out the details of the harem. Can Hamida Banu not handle all this? He can visit her for 10 minutes at the end of the day if he wants a report.
And what happened to court etiquette?? Does anybody respect the person of the Shahenshah any more? He may be Jalal to them, but his wives and baandhis need to show some deference to him as they even pass him in the corridors!! He was the very embodiment of power and had authority to rule a whole realm but the way they casually deal with him, he could be the bangle seller for all I know.

And we need him to be more purposeful in his walk, not just his talk. The director needs to get him to walk speedily through the harem, like he is a man whose time is precious. He should have more meetings with Atgah Khan at least, if not for any of the nine gems. These are the men who lent Akbar their right hand in support, advice, counsel and loyalty. Scenes with them will automatically help to raise the bar.

I'll mention Jodha here for a minute if you don't mind - she can run the harem, delegate, help with Sujamal issue, whatever, but she can also be shown to be someone who behaves like a queen, with purpose and certainty. Both Ja and Jo are NOT our next door teen boy and girl falling in love. The AkDha scenes can be chemistrilicious, but the rest of the time, they need to be busy ruling and reigning in their spheres of authority.

IF all this happens, I may watch...

bhavya second you on that! the reason i started watching this serial was because of a strong male protagonist and if he is being stooped down to pavitra rishta style male then whats the difference..why make a fiction on real life characters???

cuddly bear so nice to see you after so long! cannot blame as there was nothing to discuss about! i second you on what you have said..he should be shown more of a emperor than harem supervisor..and what is HB doing other than giving smiles on jo's achievements!

i want to see Jalal who was in the Miscarraige track wala, a more ambitious person, and heartless, after the suicide track i felt he has heart, and Jodha is heartless...
Jalals character is becoming too smmooth and loveble, than when Jalal is so good now only, how can jodha change him...

its actually jodha should be changed now...

i am not understanding who is changing whom now...

i feel Jalal is changing jodha slowly...😆

and other point is that men like Atgah Khan show Jalal the respect he is due at least. So often I forget that he is the Shahenshah. He keeps standing arounf Jo's Hojra or near the tarazu just at the time she is standing there...😆😆 ... I wish they showed him having a council of war with advisers at the same time as these stupid harem elections were happening! It would have given the show a more solid feel and made me aware that I'm watching Jodha Akbar and not Desperate Housewives.
...nice to catch up with you too Mandy. 😊

he is certainly not a poodle...he values Jo's opinion, but follows it only when he is satisfied with it... else he does what he feels right... and never he followed Jo blindly... even in Tasneem's case, he went to her house and saw the truth with his own eyes, and then agreed with Jo...

and now since Ben track, she has won his trust, so if he is agreeing to few of her wishes, it's ok..

i m sure, while ruling the harem she too will seek advice from him...
