I wonder why when Jodha's grandmother had not gone sati, did her mother?
BTW so sati pratha was a custom it was not religious? Also was it practiced since Mahabhrata era?

So the show is on right track!!! Slavery was abolished from harem too 😲, maybe in coming episodes they will show Jalal abolishing the enslavement and conversion of war prisoners 😃. I was upset with this track and that particular spoiler but cannot complain now as they are very much following history!!

Also, before Akbar a ruler of Delhi Sultanate tried abolishing Sati but left the idea as it was too tough for him to implement it. Will give the name later.

I do not know in DETAIL about Mahabharata as normal history but, there is reference to such practice in it.

Sati was initially ONLY VOLUNTARY.

In mahabharata it was only voluntary sati. Kunti didn't do sati.

Even here in Amer it must have been voluntary only. That is why dadisa is alive. So it must have been a question of choice not compulsion. There might have been other families where it was forced and Akbar tried to stop that.

Mirza haakim age and closeness to jalal is far from history. When one fact is compromised it is natural that doubts arise on every other aspect shown.
