Much as I think he's a lil on the 'not so smart' side when it comes to ppl, he HAS in the past taken Jodha's side purely out of trust. Remember the pregnancy track - he took the blame so as not to tarnish her reputation. He even took on her wrath - all so her name isn't besmirched any more than it had been. And all that based on teh faith that she hadn't done anything wrong.

That was trying, for sure. Everyone, even evidence, was against Jodha but he took it all on himself, even if it meant taking the wrath of the one you were saving.

He then took a stand and had Jodha and her kanha ji, along with diya, return to her hujra. That meant displeasing Ruqs. But he did it. And again, this was when he was still smarting from the 'dhakka'.

He loves her, he's shown time and time again that he CAN and WILL support her.

But this time, he'll have damning evidence. Last time, when there was damning evidence (pregnancy), Salima was the voice of reason. I don't know why but I feel no one will be with Jodha this time around.

Jalal will WANT her to just say ONCE that she's innocent, but she won't, out of pride.

And of course, teh ace - MA.

So .. I think our Jallu is very jalali indeed. He loves her, I think knows it full well now, but doesn't know if she feels the same way. He's got his pride, but his heart on teh sleeve too. He'll stand up for her, provided it's not against MA. Anyone else, he can handle, and squish.

But we know MA ...

Oh! How I wish we had a longer yatra ...
