Jalal walked off fuming at Ruqaiya's words. How could she? He fumed. How could she say such low things about his Jodha? He walked through the small village trying to locate her, where had she gone to? Then he spotted an all too familiar petite figure shaking with sobs. He hurried over to her unable to bear seeing her pain any longer. He walked over to her and placed a hand on her shoulder. She stiffened and turned, wiping her tears off with the back of her hand. He sat beside her, upon the eroded wooden log, as she looked at him. "Aap ro kyun rahi hain Jodha Begum" He asked softly. She raised her gaze up at him and answered a different question.
"Aap humse chupa nahi sakti Shahenshah, Ruqaiya begum ki baath aapko bhi bura laga hai" She said as he ruly smiled in response to her words.
"Ji haan humme takleef toh zaroor ponchi thi lekin hum jaante teh ki yehi hoga issi vajah se humne who chudiyan hum sirf aapki liye layein the" He replied giving her a sad smile. She looked up at him apologetically feeling guilty for causing him pain. He saw the worry and guilt o her face and decided to lighten the mood, after all she had only tried to act for the best. "Lekin aapko humari takleef kyun nahi dekha jaata Jodha Begum, aapko farak kyun padta kai?" He teased. She blushed and said shyly.
"Hum... Shahensha humme chalna chaye, der ho raha hai aur agra abhi bohot door hain" She stated averting her eyes from him face in embarrassment.
"Arre , apni choodien toh pehen lijeye pehele" He said gesturing to the bangles in her hand. She smiled and made to place the bangles on her arms when he spoke again. "Jodha begum yeh choodien humare mehenat ki kamai hai, toh inhe pehenane ki haq bhi sirf hamare hai na?" He said smirking at her. She smiled shyly but extended her arm at the same time while he smiled and started to fill her kalai with the green bangles.
Soon after they resumed their journey to return to Agra and after a few hours they had arrived. A small group had gathered at the gates of the mehel in order to welcome the Shehenshah and his two khaas begums. Hamida Bano, Gulbadan Begum, Bakshi Bano, Salima Begum, Atgah Khan, Maham Anga and Javeeda were all present.
"Aao Jalal, tumaari yaad bohot aayi humme" She said as he went forth to give her a hug smiling at her. "Aur harem kitna dhaba hua sa lag rahi thi aapke jaane se" She said hugging her too. "Aur Jodha beta humme aapki kitni chita ho rahi thi, aapki yaad ko tho sab ko aa rahi thi" She said as Jodha bent to touch her feet.
"Aap sab lok thake huye honge aap sab aaram farmaiye" Said Hamida Bano and Ruqaiya left immideatly. Just as Jodha was about to leaving someone came pelting and hugged her firmly, causing her to almost lose her balance.
"Arre Rahim??" Smiled Jodha bending down to hug him. "Aap yahan?"
"Choti Ammijaan hum aapse bohot khaffa hain" He pouted sweetly , folding his arms in anger. Jodha smiled at his natkat behaviour.
"Kyun khan-e-khana? Ab humne kya kiya?" She asked playing along with him, kneeling so that she was at eye level with him.
"Aap ne hume bina bathaye chali gaye, batha hai aapko ki humme kahani sunani aur khelne ki liye koyi bhi nahi tha?" He replied.
"Accha... toh aap hume shamma kar dejiye na, hum aapko vaada karte hain ki agli baar hum aapko aise chod ke nahi jaayenge" She said holding her ears.
"Thik hai ammijaan, lekin aap ko vaada karna padega ki aap humare saath pura din guzarein ge." He said sweetly.
"Accha baba, hum vaada kartein hai" She smiled and pulled him closer to kiss him sweetly on the check while he through his little arms around her neck hugging his dear ammijaan. As she picked him up in her arms and started carrying him to her horja. Unbeknown to them Jalal was watching the duo smiling at the love displayed amongst the two.
True to his promise Rahim didn't let Jodha out of his sight for even the smallest amount of time, much to Salima Begum's displeasure.
"Jodha begum, yeh Rahim hamme bohut sata raha hai, yeh abhi tak inka doodh nahi piye hai" She said in a hassled voice. Jodha smiled at Salima.
"Aap chinta mat kariye Salima Begum hum inhe doodh pila denge, aap humme dijeye" She said sweetly.
"Shukriya Jodha begum, yeh Rahim bhi na allah h jaane ki unka kya hoga" Se said walking out of the room. Jodha took the glass and called out to Rahim to drink the milk but little mischieveous Rahim made a run for it, running outside into the gardens, Jodha following him.
"Rahim, aap yeh doodh pe lijeye, acche bacche zidd nahi karte" She insisted running after him, with the glass in her hand.
"Nahi Chotti ammijaan agar aap humme pakad sakti hai toh hi hum peenge" He said cheekily running away from her.
"Rahim jab hum aapko pakad denge tab hum aapni haathon se eyh doodh aapko pilayenge" Said a breathless Jodha still running after him. Just then she tripped over her billowing dupatta behind her and was about to fall. She closed her eyes bracing herself for the pain that never came. Instead she felt a small warm hand extend out and pull her into a hard, yet warm substance. She opened her eyes and was shocked to see herself in her husband's embrace.

He was taking a stroll through the gardens after dinner when little Rahim crashed into him.
"Maaf kijeye Shahenshah, hum aapko nahi dheka" Said Rahim looking nervously behind him.
"Aap kiss se bhag rahe hain Rahim? Salima Begum se?" She asked smiling.
"Nahi Shahenshah, hum chotti ammijaan se bhag rahi hai" He replied.
"Jodha Begum se? Lekin kyun?" Asked a puzzled Jalal.
"Kyunki who humme doodh pe rahi hain" Replied a flustered Rahim. Just then they ehard Jodha's voice calling for him to drink his milk. Rahim gave a start ad ran away, giving a quick adaab to the shahenshah, leaving him smiling.
Just then jalal saw her, decked in her heavy jewellery and dressed in a purple lehenga she looked ethereal, suddenly he saw her trip and rushed forward to catch her. He caught onto er hand and pulled her into his chest. He brought his arms around her, securing her in his hold.

Jodha opened her eyes to find herself in his embrace. She hurriedly stepped away from him.
"Shuk...shukriya Shenshah" She stuttered, fixing her dupatta. He smirked at her embarrassment. She started to walk away when she felt her hand being pulled towards him. She crashed into his chest again and looked up in shock at him. He placed his hand on hers which held the glass filled with milk and lifted it so that it reachd his lips, and in a while drained it of it's contents. He slowly brought the glass down from his lips, still looking at his Jodha Begum, who was now a flushed scarlet in colour. He freed her hand and bent closer to her as she closed her eyes in anticipation. His arms wound around her waist as her free hand clutched at the material of his jamma. He brought his lips close to her ear and whispered
"Hum ne aapse jhoot bola tha, Benazir sabse khoobsurat nahi thi" He said, pushing behind a stray lock of her hair. Her eyes opened at the statement.
"Kya matlab" She asked softly, staring in his eyes.
"Matlab, humme koi aur use se bhi zyada khoobsurat lagti hai" He said his voice turning husky.
"Kon?" She whispered. He caressed her cheek with his nose and whispered softly in her ear.
"Aap" He said simply. He placed his face in the crook of her neck breathing in the seductive scent of her skin. His hand pulled the empty glass out of her hand placing it on the table behind him. Slowly he enclosed her in his embrace again, moving his face closer and then, as if it was on impulse he pressed his lips on to hers. Her eyes closed the moment their lips met, all the thoughts flying out of her head at his touch, it was as though she started to melt under his touch. His hands pulled her closer, still resting on her waist, his lips moving sweetly against hers. He had kissed many women but never had he experienced such a sweet, such an innocent kiss. He continued to press his lips against hers for a while until finally he broke apart. They were both breathless and in awe of the power a simple kiss yielded over them. He slowly released her waist and she slid her hands off his chest. She looked up at him in shock and saw his eyes turned dark with emotion. She turned around numbly and as she was about to walk away she felt herself being pulled up against his chest. "Aap yahan se toh chale jayenge yekin aaj raat aapki khyal me sirf aur sirf hum hi aayenge. Aap jitna bhi chayengi lekin aap toh humari hi hain, sirf humari" He whispered his voice husky. With the words he freed her hand and she ran breathlessly to her hojra, her mind still not accepting what had just occurred.
