I m in love with these episodes more now, after reading your analysis😉. Jalal and Jodha are getting more closer and getting comfortable with each other. Todarmal has been one of the best characters shown in the show after a long time. About data tying scene, it was very beautiful.

About precap, I really would like to wait till Monday and the way Ruqu's gets up and looks next to her, I feel he was there for a whole, but I m sure it will definetly not make Jalal bad. There will be some reason to it.

Completely agree, I think that was precisely the reason behind the blanket covered shirtless lep scene 😆.

After all the excitement in the forum for that scene.

Also thought that the kamarband that he wears is off somewhere ...it's out of place ...seems pretty odd . Not sure if its just me who is finding this irritating.

Aunty I am so moved by your post.

Its a treat to read. Trust me i wont feel complete watchign the episode, untill i read your post (and i guess Manis' and Lashy's too into this list)

You have explained it soo well and very minute things in the episodes.. thanks to much. I am happy that i am in this forum.

I especially like the way you have explained Jodha's changes.

Wonderfully analytical & perceptive, as always, aunty.

My favourite bit were the TodarMal that came on later. And the opening scene when Jalal, with gentle wickedness, pokes Jodha for taking advantage of him. 🤣

I think it is his long-cherished wish because this is the third time he has said so! The funniest being during the (fake) pregnancy track, when he openly , with a devilish grin goes into details about her having gathered him in her arms with Mohabbat 😆. "Aapne Hume apne baahon mein Mohabbat se ghera hua thaa, Aap Humaare kareeb aaie thi" and a prim & prudish Jodha with scandal coloured all over her tone , repeats thrice, "jhoot hain, jhoot hain, jhoot hain!" 🤣

And the second , in his Ameri hojraa when he swiftly guilts Jodha into giving him a head massage, with a ( teasing) ,fake-innocent tone he promptly gets up from the floor ( wonder why Jodha objects so strongly to him coming anywhere near her lower-limb region when she has given him 4 head massages which he has enjoyed sitting on the floor at her feet 😆) and says, "kya Jodha begum? Shahenshaah ki izzat ke saath..?" 🤣

Their scenes now have none of that irritating jerkiness of the past but a gentle camaraderie & a teasing quality to them that make them all the more charming & romantic. It is only now, that they're becoming truly comfortable with each other. I say both, because it is only when Jodha finds happiness in his company, that Jalal can truly relax too. 😊

It is these little charming vignettes that raise this show & the super-lative acting done by the leads, i particular, Rajat Tokas. ❤️

So when he openly teases her sitting on that log of wood in a darkened forest , it is interesting to note that Jodha doesn't exclaim in out-raged annoyance at such an ashobhaniya aarop against her & her perfect Raajvanshi up-bringing, but an embarrassed denial which seemed more of the you-hit-the-nail-on-the-head variety. No wonder then that, Jalal, was tenderly staring at her with a smile that reached from his lips to his eyes. 😆

2.) TodarMal: This TodarMal delights exactly like how Paagal Pandey-ji annoyed!!

😆 by the way, if he ever visits Jalal again, he should seriously consider thrusting that dagger till it bursts open Pandey-jee's larynx!

This TodarMal is gently astute, tactfully honest, brave without that foolishness that accompanies bravery many a time.. And very , very politically shrewd! No wonder he became one of the Navratnas & Akbar's favourite!

His immediate calculation that Baadal cannot be an aam naagrik through his fighting style ( a fierce Rajat showing us EXACTLY why we need action on this show!!! In a marvellous fighting sequence👏) and shabd-koshi was impressive!

But the best was reserved for the last - By giving away the shaahi mohar that the Emperor Humayun gifted to him as a token of his gratitude on his wives being safely returned to him, he assured 4 things:

1.) To dispel the furious hostility that he sensed emanating from Jalal. Hence Jalal calls him , Baadal language, ek bhaale-maanus. 😊

2.) To reveal to Jalal that he knows that he is no Baadal but the Emperor Jalal & also that, he was in no way responsible for any grief that Jalal suffered.

3.) To reveal his praise-worthy discretion & sense of tact.

4.) What I think clinched it for Jalal , hence the tacit acceptance of this gesture & the gentle smile when he turns & looks at TM - It is Loyalty. It is loyalty that TM is tacitly offering to Jalal, and it is this very loyalty that Jalal has now accepted.

I am very, very eagerly waiting to see him in Agra very soon!

Brilliant craftin👏g by the CVs & in the entire TM sequence , Rajat impressed by his Baadal & Jalal switches! I say confidently that - If Rajat had not been an actor, he would've been miserable!

Thank God for us & THANK GOD FOR HIM! 🥳

Precap: I hope she does decide to go along with them & is kidnapped by dacoits who make her do their bidding & wash their soiled clothes & dirty dishes, every day & twice on Sundays! 😡

Thanks a lot for the awesome post and for explaining the significance of 'Camelot' !! JA has been a delight to watch since Ben's end and this week 's episodes were 'parvanis'( a word meaning "treat")

Loved the actor who played Todar Mal, such presence and poise. Wish they had made such effort for Tansen too !

Spoiled the fun by bringing Ruqaiyya into the frame, and that too on 14th Feb...arrgh, how cud they! 😡

Your post is like a dewdrop on the leaf of time !
i too felt the same when the lep scene was shown,i mentioned in manasi 's post that a viewer watching them first time would never have believe that the leads have not consummated their marriage.
Jalal has already embarked on a journey of self exploration and i felt in jalal the feel of the man who had the albatross of his sins hanging around his neck,when he said to Jodha in the scene she saves him from being whipped,that you deprived me of my punishment of my sins,in other words you again saved me .
This was the greatness of Akbar i was harping about the CVs touched it,the man believed in rectification of mistakes as his responsibility of being the leader,regardless the mistakes were his or not,he did that and immortalised himself ahead of his predecessors and successors.
And in this journey or a new life which jodha gave him,he had pledged to live that life with her,and jodha too is now an ideal soulmate for her.Jalal has found the oasis of Jodhas love in the desert of his life,
So indeed she is special for her and now further rukaiya who is all set to complete rest of her damage.Lavina is doing a brat job very well,rukaiya is brat but not a creep like maham so this track is good and tolerable.
I also second you tha this changed jodha is taking time to understand her man,and where is he coming from ,and jodhas expressions were a silent acceptance of her love,now I'm wondering what will bring these love birds together coz shove matter whether solved or not will bring the situation of will she is,won't she...so at the end jodha has to break the ice coz jalal is already taking cold showers or hamams lol after MUZ prediction.so we may see a flirting jalal who is more vocal vs a shy jodha thinking of how to spell it?
Hope they have now realised the potential of Rajat ,in both action and acting he is a complete actor. and still i feel paridhis oomph factor and beauty both need to be highlighted,if given good tracks both young powerhouses will rock.
P.S. i don't think the need of introducing more female characters some random begums as well as this much harem women are more than enough to do the job,let romance continue and bring out the action from jalal please.

Lovely post, how much we fans are loving this new found love of Jodha Jalal

I hope before Rukayya intrudes onto them Jodha says I wish we did not have to go back, I wish life was this simple. Everything that Jodha and Jalal have done on this trip they have done as husband and wife, not as Shehenshah and his Begum.

I hope the CVs take us on such common man journies of AKbar and Jodha from time to time. He used to do that a lot.

Jalal had the loneliness and the craving to be loved as a person, not as Shehenshah and Jodha is giving him all that and more. Her apperant pleasure at making rotis for him, to hand over her jewelry, to just be happy in his presense, no matter where and how. Jalal is just enjoying it and they both are soaking up this, I am sure when they go back to Agra, they are going to look with longing to these simple but richly cherished times.

I loved the pride and pleasure on both their faces when Baba Chishti praises the other, the CVs stopped the episode just when Jalal hears of the Jodha as MUZ prophecy

I want to see how they each and with other react to this

Jalal still enquires about the dhakka, but he has now found the confidence in Jodha's feelings, with all her caring on this trip that he is back to teasing her instead of taunting

@Aunty: Brilliantly pointed out by Adia! I didn't notice but I went back to watch the bit where TM offers the palanquin so that Kajri ( a Shaahi Begum in disguise) does not wear herself out, and the silent exchange that takes place between Jalal & Jodha.

It was so lovely & so significant that I wonder how I missed it! ❤️

Aha! I am not so late or my comment would be buried deep under the number of pages that automatically seem to pile up you post something, ma'am!

I love your analysis. It is clear and straightforward and mirrors my feelings regarding the episode.

From all the scenes of the seth and sethani, I loved the scene when he briskly got up at the slightest of sounds while Jodha was picking up the twigs rather like Heidi who picked up flowers. I don't know but that scene seemed very symbolic to me. The forumwaasis who normally jump at joy at any sign of possessiveness in Jalal totally overlooked the scene. Or I guess I am rather smitten by it.

Jalal, seeing Todar Mal come, shielded Jodha by one hand of his. And Jodha, ever so slightly, moved to the right. I remembered the quote by J.R.R.Tolkien 'If by my life or my death I can protect you, I will.', from Lord of The Rings.

It signified trust, protectiveness, love, possessiveness, care, concern and God knows how many things.

I am so glad that they chose a good actor to play Todar Mal. Unlike Tansen who seemed a little wooden.

Ah Ruqs...I have noticed that the dress she clings onto and the same old necklace seemed to be getting a little worn like her audha. Day by day, the pearls in her necklace seem to fall (solely due to the miserly costume department). It seems as if the pearls fall off her necklace, her audha goes a notch lower. Rather like 'The Last Leaf'. I am waiting that they all fall off. But I hope Jalal does not go and paint last one for his 'bachpan ki dost'.

The way Jalal immediately stands in front of Jodha to shield her from any possible intruder ( for after such teasing closeness am sure he did think of TodarMal to be an intruder , and well, he is an Emperor after-all. 😉)

Jalal has always been extremely protective & furiously possessive of Jodha, even when she was not his wife! Too many instances show us that.

So while this was charming, it was not the least bit un-expected, like the way Jodha holds Jalal's hands & gently makes him take a seat beside her on that log of wood ( how tough do you think it would be, to take a bulky Rajat's weight? 😆)

My very favourite bit which I forgot to add in , God knows how was, at TM's residence when TM's wife ( really ill-suited lady, I hope they change her or don't show her) is praying to Krishna-jee & Jodha turns around with a troubled, apprehensive look ( since Jalal has just told her what crimes he holds his host for) and Jalal, with anger all over his face, silently strides off to help TodarMal.

Beautiful. 😳 The 4th instance to show their Soul-Mate bond.
