Maddy, again, it depends. Anti-dotes were present those days. But their action depends on the intensity' of poison. They had trained medical practitioners in Unani system, due to their central Asian origin.

In serial JA - the Jodha-Jalal relationship has been shown deteriorated to such an extent that ONLY an act of such extreme nature can get it back on track.
Lets say if Jodha snatches the sevaiya from Jalal's hands and attempts to eat/drink them. If Jalal stops her AND asks somebody ELSE to eat say Zakira

The CVs can surely show that fearing such an accusation again maybe Ben ALREADY could have given Zakira the anti-dote to poison before. So what if AGAIN if nothing happens to Zakira, Jodha will be proved wrong

It would add more emotion to that scene.
CVs have left only such an extreme step recourse to serial Jodha. If they show Jalal stopping her and Jodha proved right without drinking poison, I will be very curious then HOW just stopping Jodha is a turning point in their relationship which the soul talk conveyed - akele pan ki akhari raat and all that.

Jalal could threaten zakira that he will kill Ben and/or Abul Mali unless she gives zahar mohra to save Jodha. The very fact that they showed that elaborate search, zahar mohra in form of pearls means they plan to use them to save life, maybe Jodha's.

Maddy, that disclaimer is for such extreme nautankis only 😆 if something like her farewell speech, she taking poison and others not even moving an inch to stop her would have happened in real then what was the need to put it and waste around 25 secs of show 😉. Ekta does know very well how to make a natakiya rupantar of the facts she and her team gathered in 1.5 years which makes the TRP Aunties to hold their breath and glue themselves to TV. So no problems with this drama..Aane do, we are ready 😆

I personally do not think, this is the ONLY way she is left with to prove Benazir is a VishKanya. Why she did not ask Salima to convince Jalal and investigate more when he trusts Salima more than her? He would have given a second chance to Jodha's point! .Why she did not ask Sharifuddin how does he know of Benazir's plan ? Sharifuddin's jassos could have informed Jalal if she had insisted on it. See Jalal's suspicion would have grown if that soldier of Sharif informed him about Benzie as he defo does not know Sharif's loyals are still giving him info of what is happening in Agra. If not Jodha Jalal would have trusted that soldier!. Though there relationship is deteriorated he still trusts her somewhere and thats why he asked Atga to search Benazir's kaksh, this shows she does not trust his fairness and hence she tried everything on her own which irked him thinking its her jealousy. Salima and that soldier guy were enough to arouse his doubt and stop this wedding. But no, everybody has to go bonkers for such a high level drama!.

Possible! but he refuses to trust her because she does not have any solid proof and she was not enough convincing to make him doubt Benazir's evil intentions. Look at it from Jalal's POV, Benazir is in agra since quite a long time. If she wanted to she could have killed him when she was very much close to him physically. But since she had taken such a long time to attack him, he does not think she is an assassin! and the only conclusion he made of Jodha's accusation is Jodha wants her out of his life and Agra. And asking her if she is going back to Agra was nothing but just a taunt as he also knows Amer's doors are closed for Jodha if she decides to leave him or if he leaves her. I don't know how he will react post this drama but one thing is for sure, it will shake him to the core.

Jodha not reacting to Jalal's hatred dialogues even when Moti consoled her made me think she somewhere knows he does not mean it at all!. She herself has cursed him in past but she never wanted him getting hurt in anyway. But her farewell speech does show somewhere in her subconscious mind his words are haunting her. But I think what forced her to take the extreme step is the very thought of losing him which made her anxious and seeing her world falling apart if something wrong happens to him and he does not wake up the next day to look at her face, with ghrina, with love it doesn't matter to her at this moment.

Right! and Ben will escape from the ceremony itself on that horse with the help of Adham (I'm now skeptical why he would help her seeing his plan failed 😕) she has obviously no time for saving Zakira and collect her belongings. Zakira would be shocked and feared to death seeing Ben leaving her to dye here in Agra, and hence she will have no option but to spit it out everything.

The reason for thinking like this (please read my post above 😆) even though they have given us lot of filler epidoes there have been some scenes which will make sense ONLY if Jodha drinking poison is to be shown.

Why will they show zahar mohra (anti-dote to poison) found in elaborate search of Ben's room and Jalal & Adga talking about it. They open the trunk find it and keep it back in her room intact, still what was the purpose of showing such scene? Unless CVs ONLY wanted to show Jalal IS thinking about what Jodha said and did try to investigate some.

This kind of zahar mohra was not shown when Ben saves Zakira after she drinks milk after Ben. So this is too elaborate scene just for filler.

Why did Ben go to Jodha and talk about searching her room, finding the box and telling her to keep it. Jodha was perplexed and wondering what Ben was talking about. Maybe Jodha mentions this to Moti/SB and they in turn remember and tell this to Jalal, that will remind him also about what they found in Ben's trunk and might try to find it and show to hakim

If Zahar mohra is NOT to be used, why show so many scenes about it in the serial, we had atleast 4 scenes about it, Jalal-Adga search trunk found box scene, Ben-Zakira search for the box frantically scene, Ben talk about it with Jodha scene AND Ben-Zakira scene where they discuss the box is back again in the room

Too much screen space for BEN'S PEARLS😆
