Wow, finally an episode where I don't need to dig out positives, there were only positives to speak of, at least from my perspective.
However, I still thought it would be fun to point my winning positives for the day:
1. The beauty of symbolism: there was so much symbolism today, with the Krishna gift and the parrot card reading. Loved how Jodha gave the gift with tact- there was no direct taunts to Benezir and it was done in a subtle manner with great tact. In a world where serials are so over the top, including our Jodha Akbar, it is great to a scene that is subtle but impactful. Hats off CVs! More on the parrot card reading in the next bullet ...
2. The parrot card reading was very much a face-off between Benezir and Jodha. Club Benezir (including Ruqaiya and MA) thought they would use it against Jodha in multiple ways- including Ruqaiyya giving the third turn to Benezir instead of Jodha and MA justifying the meaning of Ben's card. However, because of that Jodha had the last laugh as her card silenced them all as she would protect Shehenshah. I know some folks were disappointed that Jodha's card was not that she would be the most loved by Shehenshah or something like this. However, if you look at it as a face- off between the two it was perfect: Ben would not stand by Shehenshah and Jodha would always stand as a protection. Practically speaking, without the protection card, how could Ben and Jodha have had the mental verbal exchange they did? Who needed the dialogues- Jodha's eyes were enough.
3. Another lollipop- the soul talks. They were fantastic and mirrored the loneliness that the leads were feeling that would end forever. This could yet again be a lollipop- the CVs are showing to us and no doubt it is. However, in the last soul talks they all talk about this is a start of a change, etc. This time there seemed to be a finality in that they said it was their antim night of loneliness. So, I am hoping their souls become one before the next misunderstanding breaks them apart- I would love to see the lead fight together against problems in the future but I also know this is an Ekta Kapoor serial I am watching. 😉
4. The bonding between HB and Jalal is getting stronger and stronger and I am loving it. I think a lot of people criticized HB for not supporting Jalal enough especially compared to Jodha. Hopefully, folks are feeling better. I loved the scene and how well HB understood what Jalal was feeling and needed. I am seeing the CVs build up their relationship and I am hoping because MA will soon be out of the picture and HB will be his sole mother figure. I am getting greedy already I guess. 😉
5. I loved the precap for all its drama for two reasons and I really hope it is true. These were the row reasons I loved it:
- I now understand why Jalal was made to mouth those horrid dialogues yesterday that he does not want to see her face even when she closes her dialogues. I loved how she alludes to that dialogue both in how he didn't want to see her face and she may close her eyes. I think this is to show the extent of Jodha's love for Jalal- despite his hatred she was willing to do anything for him. I think this self-less ness will finally wake up the heart in Jalal.
- her saying that she could not see her pati's life gone again alluded to HB's dialogue that he needs a begum who thought of him as a pati not a Shehenshah. I am also glad she did not say it was my kartavya to protect her husband or the shehenshah but rather that she could not see her husband's life in danger. There was an endearment to how she said it which I am sure will haunt Jalal as she recovers.
I liked many other things in today's episode like seeing Ben in her fourth and final dress and Abul Mali being thrashed for the truth- I was thinking perhaps Ben may save Jodha by telling about the antidote to save her love Abul Mali, as I dona't think he dies so soon.

One more weekend to wait for the week that finally came- the week then Ben leaves their lives and our lives for good. February is looking all the more beautiful, what a way to start the month and more specifically the month of love!
