He has still not made her his wife, only announce his intention. Still a thought is a thought as the intention is there to show contempt...

Exactly...but why does he announce the wedding? He doesn't seem to suspect ben or have a plan. How will his begumfying Ben insult only Jo and not all his other begums? Jo has already declared ' ab anthar nahin padtha'. This track is proceeding like Tasneem track...senseless and logic-less.😕
