Actually I agree with you all regarding all these recent character discrepancies making it difficult for us to predict what is important and what is not! But within the given circumstances I am trying to obtain the best fit of logic that I can think of. (Not that I am succeeding, I am just trying!)
Even now I am myself full of doubts even after I have written this post trying to clarify to myself as to every corner of this puzzle.
For example, why did he wash his hands if he did not know Ben was a vishkanya?
And if he knew she was a Vishkanya where is the need to make her bite, now that he has caught Mali? Can he not unmask Ben without that marriage proposal?

The Jalal-Jodha equation is constantly see-sawing...at one point, they're both very silently supportive of one another...but whenever it comes to THAT night ka maamlaa Jalal goes 😡 and whenever it comes to Ben ka maala Jodha goes 😡
Otherwise, Jodha's equation with the rest of his family hasn't changed one bit and nor has her care for him... and he also doesn't react when Ruqaiyya/MA bhadkaafy him against her... he takes his decisions based on her actions alone...

And how does that square with the advice Hakim gave him regarding his mohabbat? is he trying to hide from mohabbat by proposing to ben? In that case even Ruq is sufficient as a foil to mohabbat, so why Ben? Something is not clicking. Whichever way you look at it!
No... because what he has been feeling for Ruqaiyya for so long is companionship...not the 'in love' feeling... Exactly when this Sivaratri nite is going to be shown is also a doubt. Will it be on Thursday or Friday, who knows? Till then they may build up this Ben bite, this marriage proposal etc. But I am dead sure Ekta will full milk this TRP audience with a parallel between the Parvati-Shiva story and the Jodha-jalal story on Sivaratri. That's why I feel 100% certain Ben track will culminate on Sivaratri with Jodha saving jalal. All the steps leading up to that are however in confusion-land! In fact the more I try to think, the more muddled I am becoming!😡😲😕
Hope it ends by this week! Its torture enough!
