There r 2 possible reasons for this sudden announcement of wedding with Ben

Either he wants make Jo realise that she too is in love with him or he wants to prove that he is still a heartless man who can never fall in love with anyone.

yes it is and that look after thinkin MH's words jisse aap mohabbat karte hai usse takhlif me nahi dekh sakte, kitne pyar se dekh raha tha jodha ko...

Maybe to show them all that he does not he might agree to marry Ben (Yuck!)

I think Jalal prem se jyada pain se dekh raha tha, with MH words in his ears, ye muze kya ho gaya! Mese pas bhi dil hai

I think it might be both
Jalal will want to make Jodha realise her love, BUT he will refuse to believe he is in love

yup Maddy... but he'll realise soon that his heart beats for her and his only obsession is her.. after Jodha saves him from Benazir...
