Shivani's letter to Jodha *surprise* *surprise* again falls in MA's hands!!!
Just for a change of vista, I'd prefer if someone else managed to get their hands on such things!
Resham's dancing and MA's letter finding are becoming a daily affair. Thankfully, we were spared Benazir's heavy breathing today!😆

THE SOMBRE WEDDING HALL
Obviously becomes more sombre once the 'We have no news of the bride' is announced.
Jalal's initial handling of the issue - the manner in which he questions Bharmal gently and then doles out instructions to ensure the queen/princess is safe is a treat to watch!👏

JODHA'S TURMOIL
This situation is a woeful one for any girl to be in - to be thus betrayed by one's own and then having to face and explain the situation to remaining relatives is very aggrieving in more ways than one. She was mistaken in not seeking out Shivani's opinions in the matter initially, however; at this point Shivani has taken matters just too far!
'With what face will I approach Bapusa...the Shehenshah' she sobs
'Hopefully Shivani wasn't kidnapped...hopefully she wasn't brainwashed by someone'
I'm glad that one of her prime worries were for the Mughal Sultanat's pride and status!😊

THE WEDDING WILL NOT HAPPEN..
At the point where the guests learn that the marriage is not going to happen - both Bharmal and Hakim Mirza's expresions left a lot to be desired!😕

MA
Gawd! This MA is such a brainy vamp - she's successfully mastered the art of playing dirty politics to such an extent that none other can sniff her ploys at this juncture OR match up to her skewed cognitive abilities - at least in the near future!

A side note - Hmmm, we've been rebuking all the leads in the show of being shown incapable in front of MA. However; think of it this way - none other in that family is capable of being so dastardly or thinking as viciously as her! Thus, she succeeds. Even Lord Krishna was unable to completely stop Shakuni mama's plans from taking effect - these characters are humans, after all! All evil will reach its fitting end one day and so will hers.

RUQAIYYA-JALAL
Initially - i.e. during the first two sentences - with Ruqaiyya's statements, I had presumed she was turning more and more one-dimensional and was about to mentally switch off! However, today her following monologue made a whole load of sense -

'She has reduced you from the status of an Emperor to that of a hunter...a hunter who runs behind the deer thinking he's trying to trap her..but, only the deer knows that SHE's making the hunter dance to her tunes! What has made you so weak lately? Where is that daring fearless warrior I knew of...stop thinking like a hunter and start thinking like an Emperor again!'

Why I agree with these statements of Ruqaiyya's is not because I want Jalal to go back to being the cruel man he was at the start of the show - but, because he's become someone rather quite at the opposite end of the scale in the episodes that have been running for the past 1.5 months.
I have no qualms with Jalal softening up in Jodha's love - since that's what the essence of the show is - a man who claims to have no heart starts falling in love and thus realizes that grey does not need to be a shade closer to black, grey can be a shade closer to white too!
However, his state of stupor lately has really made him appear weak and in a very unjustified way! Whenever he does bring up THAT night's issue, it tugs at one's heart strings. However, the route that he has utilized to get back at Jodha is one that all of us do not prefer viewing. In the course of this so-called revenge he is only making a fool of himself. Hence, I wholeheartedly support what Ruqaiyya said against the Shehenshah today.

THAT and the fact that we got to see glimpses of a rebelling man today, albeit fainter than what it would have been before. (Beggars can't be choosers, I tell myself😆)

This scene also did leave me a bit confused in certain places - Jodha's dignified rebuttal, Jalal's unexpected trust in her, his composed replies against Ruqaiyya, his angry stance against Bharmal - I have a feeling that the CVs are trying to squash in too many dimensions into Jalal and Jodha at once (while keeping callers suggestions in mind). Seeing their character-graph for the past month or so this recuperated behaviour of the leads - especially Jalal must have left most feeling 🥳
So then, we have this man - who is capable of weighing the situation carefully when the need arises. Then, why isn't he thinking straight in the Benazir fiasco - or are the CVs trying to convey that the Shehenshah places his personality/brains in hibernation once in a while - especially when it comes to the humiliation of THAT night!

JALAL-JODHA-RUQAIYYA
Jodha's sorry expressions as soon as she stepped out of the palanquin - her fear, her anger have all been depicted very well. Pari was adorable in this scene.👏

In the room, Jodha's rebuttal to Ruqaiyya was noteworthy 'Just because the dhathure ka arkh dibbi was found in Salima's chamber doesn't mean she was guilty of orchestrating the miscarriage'👏
Just like Jodha's quick-thinking self-justification was a pleasant change, Jalal's ensuing proclamation was a very welcome one too -

'She is NOT lying' he said to Ruqaiyya. Jalal's stance shook me - as I am sure must have the rest of the audience😆
'There was no need for Sukanya to have sent Jodha a letter, had she known about it all from the very beginning!'👏

However, I am still surprised (and not-too-pleasantly) that he suspects Bharmal of having known of the affair. Having said that, the points he brings up against the father do make sense too. I do hope he is not too harsh with the father and lets him have his say like he did Jodha today.

A side note - We do chide the Emperor's administration for being unable to solve crimes etc. However, we possibly also need to bear in mind that in a society of yesteryears - with ever-changing laws, prejudices, only circumstantial witnesses, no technology and only grey-calls/advice to go upon - more crimes would have remain unsolved (or wrongly solved) than the other way around - and this is not the case only in a single empire or era!

PRECAP
My guesses are that Jalal is angrily referring to Shivani and Tej - and that Jodha is pleading for their cause!

AS OF TODAY'S EPISODE

Thankfully, this humongous ploy that MA set out to entrap Jodha (with all that tiptoeing and teleporting😆) has fallen nearly flat on her face with Jalal trusting Jodha - now, this is something for which he definitely deserves a pat on the back.

Obviously, in future we know not how the Benazir kaand is going to unfold...but as of today, neither did Jalal disappoint me in any way nor did Jodha - especially, seeing how I had set out quite low expectations from the story and its leads!

Today's episode was a good one - will have to wait for tomorrow to see how it plays out.😊

Lashykka, as usual awesome post🤗, today's episode was good actually very good. See till yesterday I wasn't willing to write anything and today I have a long post to dedicate to the episode.😆

Maham : First of all let me do some dancing
Her plan back fired. The best friends forever (Maham and Resham) were celebrating their yet to announce victory, they were so excited that they even were completing each other's sentences. Wow, kya pyaar hai, they complete each other. For a second I thought Resham and Adham will start doing mujras and Maham will do her favorite Lathi's aaraa raaraa raa😆. And Maham, you put so much hof your energy on stealing those letters, you walked miles just to eye on Shivani and Kanghi Man when she was visitng Ambe Ma's temple and may have spent nights and days memorizing the letters written by them but, alas, see in the end your one mistake takes it all away from you. It's like passing in all the exams throughout the year but failing in your annuals. Ouch. 😆

Jodha: I felt really bad for her, one is to feel miserable when the love ones betray you. Jo was so worried about the humiliation which will be faced by Shahenshah and her father.
I liked that she didn't lose her sensibility, when the blame was put on her. She was dignified all through it and her answer to Ruq was noteworthy. I really don't want Jo to forgive Shivani, I know she is family and Jo loves her but Shivani's act was very selfish that, for not once, she thinks about her family, didn't give a damn about the humiliation that her family has to face and about her sister's marriage. Jodha loves her family and is proud of being a Rajvanshi, she will always be against of things which can cause humiliation for her family and If she is shown forgiving Shivani easily then it'd be out of her character.

Jalal: So you finally found your brain, huh? He don't have any idea how much charismatic he looks with his brain. I, like others, was surprised when I saw Ja not blaming Jo. I won't say that he trust her blindly, it was more of logic which he used. He understood that if Jo would have been a part of Shivani's plan then there is no way Shivani would have left a farewell letter to her Jiji. I can understand why he is blaming Raja Bharmal, he clearly thinks that RB knew about Shivani and to keep his daughter in control he wanted to marry her as soon as possible and that is why he accepted HM's marriage proposal. Poor RB, I really hope Jalal tries to think that if RB would have known about Shivani-Kanjiman, then he surely would have killed the kangiman first and then would have tried to marry off Shivani.

And Ruq was very reasonable asking about the lost Shahenshah but what I didn't like was her calling him Shikari. I always expects Ruq to know Ja well because she is his childhood friend then how come she still hasn't get it that Ja is behaving so because he is in love with his Heerni/Baaghin/Chudail? But I love the fact that both of his begums are fearless. 😳

P.S. Jodha was looking so so so so so beautiful in the precap. And obviously Rajat and Paridhi were extremely good.

You sound positively uplifted Ela...😃
and I am genuinely so happy and pleased for you...I know how much effort (time, energy and mental peace) you've gawaa-ed with these tracks lately...so, I'm so glad...

I just said the same thing to aanchal too
Since I've been burnt so many times lately, I'm not going to rejoice early...but, I am going to feel very happy for the episode today
The Ben kaand is yet to unfold, remember?

That one scene with Jalal, Jodha and ruqaiyya in their chamber - alone was enough - to show us glimpses of the leads we've been missing for the past month or so!

Main aaj ke liye celebrate karoongi! 🥳

Awesome analysis..

Maham again proved to be the Dak Munshi of Agra...Another letter waiting for her.😆..
Hopefully and Happily, this one did not create a new MU...
It was a bolt from blue, hearing Jalal, that he believed Jodha..!.😲. kaise.😆?.
Good to hear, that she was shown, worrying for Sultanate's 'izzat', with special mention this time.

I am happy (for time being), that MA's continuously running wagon of endless successful conspiracies finally stopped.!.
Relieved to see, both Jo-Ja, behaving sensibly.(for a change.)

Jalal's actions demonstrated a shade of his old nature.
Hope, the old leads will be back soon.

All in all. It was a departure from the torturous episodes, we were digesting with excruciating frustration..Worth watching today..

P.S. -> It's Shakuni Mama.😃 Don't confuse him with Shaguni Bai..😆

🤣teleporting Maham!! Inspired from Star trek.
Yes the episode surprised viewers as Jalal trusts Jodha without much ado and much to the chagrin of Ruq who did her best to rile up Jalal. All this should make Jalal ponder over why the letters were being found openly in Jodha's room and who went there to search for them. Perhaps all this is planned by someone who wants to pull Jodha down.
Now its to be seen whether the real culprit-Maham is revealed or not at least to Jodha. How Bharmal saves himself and are Shivani-Tej caught? Hope this gets proper closure. Unattended issue is not fair.

My dear Lashy and Pals,

The extremely reassuring thing today was that Jalal believed that Jodha was telling the truth when she asserted that she knew nothing about the Shivani-Tejwant affair, NOT because he trusted her, but because of logic. That if Jodha had known of it in advance, Shivani would never have written her that kind of farewell letter.

I was very pleased with Jalal about this, for this was a decision made by a percipient and shrewd monarch, not by a frustrated and lovesick shikari, as Ruqaiya describes him in a cruel but accurate summing up of his obsession with Jodha.

The irony of it was that Mahaam had overreached herself when she included Shivani's farewell letter to Jodha in the bundle of the prempatra. She was rejoicing because the wording of the letter could give the impression that Jodha had indirectly instigated Shivani to bolt, with all that talk of prem being all important. But then she missed the cardinal point that the very existence of such a letter would exculpate Jodha.

So even Mahaam missed a trick there. If she had suppressed that letter, Jalal might not have believed Jodha's pleas, for then it would have been just a matter of blind trust, which he does not have in her any more.

So it is Bharmal now in the frying pan, as Jalal is convinced he wsa lying all along, and it remains to be seen how he gets out of it. The precap seems to refer to the runaway pair, with Jalal harshly proclaiming that they would be punished for shaming the Mughal sultanate and hurting his brother, and brushes away Jodha's tearful pleas (for mercy?)I do not have any very high hopes of his staying the course,. but let us see.

Shyamala Aunty

That scene somehow reminded me of the durg issue - though not in the same league..
it was a case of wit against fortunes...
MA's wit being pitted against Jalal/Jodha's fortunes (At this point, I'm still nervous to say Jalal/Jodha's wit😆)

But, as you said...the CVs who're trying resuscitative measures got somewhere with that scene

1) Jalal is not shown as blindly trusting Ruqaiyya - he controls his temper though his best friend was out lambasting him
As usual we know not what was going on in his mind!

2) Ruqaiyya was her usual shrieky self in that scene, but all her words made sense. In a way, it looked like she was asking Jalal the very questions, we as viewers wanted to ask - so its a form of an explanation to this 'brain-on-a-hiatus' spell of his...thankfully, she kept quiet towards the end of the scene and she shows she has no fear of losing her life as long as her friend got back to being the Emperor he was!

3) Jalal's proclamation that Jodha is innocent and his reason for the same

4) Jodha's calm but dignified handling of the matter in Jalal's chamber with that excellent manner in which she spoke of her innocence - and NOT putting up a drama when Jalal openly announces that he's going to have to question Bharmal on this

5) Jalal proceeding to take a stance against Shivani and Tej (though I don't think much is going to happen later on)

That scene spoke volumes about all 3
If these three became a team, it'd be a treat to watch!

As you said, MA's over-thinking fell flat on her own face
I'm not celebrating early...but, I am going to celebrate for today!😃
Thank you aunty!🤗

I know I know...isi liye I said the same!
She was positively dignified today...and her prime concern was for the izzat of the sultanat as was Jalal's initial logic to trust Jo...
As long as these two are together, its always fun to watch!🥳
