I am so close to calling it quits like many of others in this forum. There were days when I was restless waiting for the episode to air, than days where I would still watch because of past reputation. Now, I am at a state where I cannot take it any more. I did not watch the episode today and do not feeling like watching tomorrow's episode either.
Akbar the great must be one agitated soul, hope he is giving some nightmares to Ekta. A shrewd and clever personality who got entire India under his rule has been shown as a man who needs constant help from females. Infact the serial is showing that if not for all these women around Jalal, he would never have received 'Akbar the Great' title. I have heard 'there is a woman behind every man's success'. In Akbar's case, there were loads of women or the entire harem behind his success. Akbar was ready to step down as a king during Jodha's religion issue, Hamida had to help him. Akbar was ready to sacrifice his marriage to his most dearest wife, Jodha had to rescue him. Ruqu had to tell Akbar that 'don't give too much power in one man's hand, but distribute it to remain in control'. Ruqu had to tell Akbar that a king should not fight a siphai as this would bring down his esteem. Akbar needed advice of all the harem woman to decide if he should take the challenge of nobody for a kushti fight. I guess they expect the female audience to be elated as they are playing a night and armor role in Akbar's life. Well, sorry to disappoint you Ekta! We are completely disgusted and appalled at how a historical esteemed king has been reduced to a foolish helpless lad.
In the past, Akbar had the guts and cleverness to act on his own. Be it Sukanya's wedding, Jodha's suicide, Pregnancy case, Kaali maa temple, etc. We saw him plan, think, discuss and make good decisions. Now-a-days Akbar's brain only thinks about annoying Jodha, it doesn't matter if it looks childish or is getting too obvious or is making other begums look bad. Do you expect us to believe that Akbar was so childish that would reduce to this level of game planning only to annoy Jodha? On top of it we have Ben who is supposed to be a seductress, big debatable point but will leave that for now. She then turns to be a vishkanya and we have another agent of Abumali challenging Jalal. Jalal first had to wash of his hands when Ben touched him, the next thing you know he is ready to be kissed by her. What's up with the inconsistency? Jalal yet again has no idea about his enemies, Hakim had to come and inform him about that. Yet again Jodha or some other female will have to save our helpless Akbar as he had no clues about his enemies. His entire sena and ministers have no ideas about threat to his life. Its only losers like SD who have details about it. But, do they reach out to Akbar. No, even they share this peace of valuable info with female lead Jodha. Unbelievable!
