You know what, this show wouldn't have been made if the Jodha Akbar MOVIE wasn't made by Ashutosh ji n it wasn't such a smash hit plus highly critically acclaimed one. In the movie , Akbar was shown as monogamist n the only woman in his life as Jodha. Why, ever thought ?? Do you think Ashutosh ji is a fool ?? Who'll change some thing or show some thing different with out a reason ?? It's the CVs of this show who are fools n idiots !
Had Ashutosh ji shown HR's jalal like the characterless one , roaming-about-sleeping-with-various-wives-n-concubines type, the movie would've been super flop. No body would've been interested to watch such a man in the movie. It was a very wise n well calculated move n we all can see it worked.
So, let's stop this rubbish that showing these things are okay, just because it was mentioned in History , n it was 16th century whatever...
When you're in the entertainment industry, you need to be shrewd rather than a embracing stupid facts from history, that are destructive for the flavor of the show, which is supposed to be a love story.
Any Historical love story glosses over gross details that may spoil the feel of love story, The Sagars did just that with PRC , because it was also a love story in parts, whereas in reality , PRC did have many other wives n all those things were neatly erased from the show. Very conveniently ! That's what I call wise move, or else who'd have cared about the historical love story of PRC ??
