Dear
Friends, I know many may not agree with me , but I did not enjoy this jealousy
track as much as I had anticipated. The only relief was Rajat, again unfolding
his acting prowess and the lighter veins which kept me amused and distracted
from the illogicalities the story line is being subjected to, especially
Jalal's character.
Mirza
Ghalib, had he been alive today ,would have penned his famous couplet
differently:
Ishq ne
Abu'l Fath nikamma kar diya, warna hum bhi aadmi tthey kaam ke!!!!
I fear the
young viewer, who is being taught Mughal history in school and is religiously
following EK's Magnum Opus. His history teacher will have to do some serious
unlearning
Teacher: Who
was Jalal uddin Mohammad Akbar?
Student: The
original Devdaas!
Teacher: By
what other names is Jodha Bai known in History?
Student: The
Mistress of Leps, Aushadhis and Marhams.
Teacher:
What lesson do you learn from Akbar's life relevant in the present day society?
Student: How
to make your girl friends jealous!!!!
Teacher: Who
was Maham Anga?
Student: The
original Lalita Pawar, Shashi Kala, etc etc
Teacher:
Briefly discuss Akbar's Rajput Policy.
Student:
(scratching his head, this a tough one for him)
Attending Rajput weddings for a
long time, whole hearted participation in all Rajput wedding rituals ,
promoting and enjoying Rajasthani folk dance
Teacher
shocked😲, Student rocked😆
P.S. the
fake moon was this week replaced by the even faker flowers.Salima Begum
thrusting a bunch of white fakies under Jalal's nose for him to enjoy the sweet
smell. And the assorted fakies(? Imported in bulk from China) adorning almost
every window sill in Agra fort
P.P.S. For
those who managed to miss Jodha's blue vomit (I for one did) there is hope next
week. Be on the look out for Benazir's Green one
Statutory
Warning: Do not attempt this on a full stomach .You might throw up some weird
color yourself😛
