I think people are mostly making insensitive remarks because she is coming between Jalal and Jodha. If she had been playing Jodha's BFF, there would not be a single mention about her weight and people would be embracing her with open arms. 😆😆

the comments r for Benazir, not Meghna specifically... all r so disgusted by her hence such comments r made...those were out of disgusts only..nothing personal...besides her clothes r such awkward to watch..hardly fits her body and does look vulgar at times...

The problem here is not the actress, but the character "Benazir".

The clothing as it is minimal and barely fits her (HATS off to the emperor for spending his valuable time in designing these clothes) and in the process it does look a bit vulgar.

As it is her role does irk to some extent and to top it the clothing doesn't help either..

Hence the comments..
We all on different occasions have ridiculed (within reasonable limits) every character... including Jodha and Jalaal. This one ain't any different.

It's sad to see that supposedly educated, intelligent and erudite folk can stoop to the level of being judgemental on the basis of mere physicality..I honestly think Meghna cannot act...but that in no way justifies attacking her physical structure...Nobody is perfect...I thought that the characterization and depiction of Tansen here has been hilarious...but you don't go after the individual playing the character for it...
