And this is why literacy is important.

Learn your ABC's kiddies, it's important (as demonstrated by Jalal).

On a side note ALL OF THIS because she refused to sleep with him?
I'm actually glad she didn't because now she see's this side of him. Honestly if I refused to sleep with a guy and then he pulled all this shit on me, I'd be pretty damn happy I didn't sleep with a guy who was only interested in my body.

Although I'm pretty sure he's just using "she refused to sleep with me" anger as a false mask for the "she said she doesn't love me" anger.

Agree with you TM. Literacy is important and also Jalal needs to learn his lessons well, trust Jodha, she doesn't lie. MA doesn't like Jodha, haven't you figured that out, Jalal? Can't read, can't tell who your enemies are, some growing up to do there.
The way Jalal is behaving negates the credence given to "hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned" - he is a man. He is being childish, churlish, and sadistic. Not like a man in love at all. Jodha must thank her lucky stars she didn't give into his advances. A man who puts his wife's Kada on a belly dancer's feet needs a severe dressing down at least. Lost respect for the Shehenshah today.

He tried to be more literate than the average person - knew scriptures, arts, works of literature and could recite many things if told/read out to him just once...

Everyone else in his family is literate (women included) just think why he wouldn't have then been so...😊

he was handicapped by dyslexia... he wasn't really illiterate...
yet he ruled an entire Sultanat!!!
