Hi.😊
I posted this topic here to discuss, only the "dignified inscription", which this picture bore in Persian meaning -> "<font color="#FF0000">Glory of the Faith: Akbar with Mariam Zamani Begum</font>".
It really, is a testimony to-->>
1. Her exalted status in Akbar's life.
2. The dignity and respect she commanded.
3. Also, the good relationship she shared with him.
First of all, We all do not know, if this pic was for their private use, as i said before. And, as i said this appears to be a casual dress. It appears, it is for them only. Who knows why and how was it painted.
Also, being from a highly dignified royal family, she would not have dressed in such a manner, but again, i reiterate my point, it seems, this picture was their use only, and being his wife, i do not want to say anything on their private life. Infact, i am not authorized to comment. She is with her husband, so i do not feel it is a ERROR of any folly from her.
Also, <font color="#0000FF">it is ONLY an artistic representation, a picture, not any REAL HD IMAGE or VIDEO.</font>😃
We all know, she was a dignified lady. Again the picture proves their good relation, contrary to what people claim.😊
Now, after them, how this picture reached here without catching Aurangzeb's eyes or what would Salim think, is beyond myself commenting. I do not consider myself fit to give a reason.😊Also, she is with her husband, not any one else, so there is no problem, as far as i feel.
<font color="#FF0000"><font color="#FF00FF">Again i reiterate</font>, my ONLY point in starting this thread was to make people know about the status she had enjoyed and <font color="#000000">not mislead by silly and random articles on Internet</font>. 😊
I need not speak, This INSCRIPTION speaks, a lot about them, itself..😊.. </font>
<font color="#0000FF">" Glory of the Faith: Akbar with Mariam Zamani Begum "👍🏼</font>

"The palace"..!!!!!
infact, that is the "ONLY THING" they use to give weight to their theory of christian wife.
How and Why.???
The next thread will be on MUZ palace only, (if anything interesting doesn't comes in between).
there we can see..
they say "Mariam" relates to Mary.
and so MUZ is christian.
they do so to PROVE that a christian queen was a prominent figure there.
Even, some documents of the public works department of British Goverment in India, refer same way, though ASI rejects it.😆
See Same administration, 2 departments, both at loggerheads.😆
Why don't anyone asks them if Mariam Zamani was christian due to logic of her being having a name of Mariam. Then, why not Akbar's own mother, Mariam Makani, is also called christian. They seem to EXPOSE and RAISE the facts, that suit their theory.
They have even claimed MUZ palace in Fatehpur Sikri to be the palace of Christian Wife of Akbar.😆.
The more u will read the more interesting and funny it becomes.😆
Infact, it seems to "ME" after reading various docs, that they undertook conservation efforts of MUZ palaces in Agra and Fatehpur Sikri because they thought it be a christian wife.
Infact, i am going to have a separate thread on this also,(most probably next one)
Will prove to be quite entertaining..😃
The million dollar question..>>they want MUZ to be christian..and also say she was Bharmal's Daughter...🤣..what they want..??.
take biggest example of the person who translated akbar's book(which book i will update here, i think akbarnama.)(name of author not in my mind...how many names can i learn😕), and while mentioning MUZ there, he says,
"she was christian wife.😆 and then separately, in the references section he says, fact is disputed,😆 since she was bharmal's daughter.."
Some have even gone to the extent of creating Mariam part2😆.
It is really interesting.
as i wrote in my thread..
Dutch say, she was of Caucasian origin.😆
Italians say, she was an Armenian. 😆
Portuguese say, she was Portuguese.😆
English say, she was Catholic Christian.😆
BUT ALL MAINTAIN in unanimity that, A queen by name Mariam Uz Zamani was a very prominent figure.
And, this suits our purpose.👍🏼
they want all 3 things TOGETHER -->> "muz+christian wife+ favourite wife"...all in 1.
is it possible.??😆
infact, atleast the 2nd condition is not possible, as far as i know..

is not the palalce of MUZthe biggest proof thatshe was a Hindu not Christian. Than why are dutch, british, and portuguse hell bent on proving her as a Christian?🤔
I do not refute the inscription you're stating and I'm a big shipper of the Jalal-Jodha brigade...
My question is not only about the provocative nature of the dress and the age difference (if he'd commissioned young paintings of Hira, he would have instructed the painter to paint himself young too)...as for the provocative nature, it could be it was for their personal/harem use and could have been done by a female painter...though that still seems unlikely too!
A major question is about the the cultural style of dressing...Even if she was in an intimate setting with the Shehenshah, things like Sindoor and a pierced nose (for her nose ring) are missing...as a Rajput, it wouldn't have made sense...her style of dress is the Mughalain style (when we know she stuck to being a Hindu all along)There is only so much creative liberty a painter could have used...Queen elizabeth wouldn't have commissioned a painting of herself in a saree right...Though I wish it was really the akbar = hira we were hoping to see, I don't think its so...I would actually ask you not to give this painting credit 😳but only the inscription- since the painting seems to hold a lot of discrepancies😳.

@history it seems due to her status in Akbar's life , everyone is keen on making sure she is from their tribe,or from their culture. People seem to too obbessed with her.😆</div><div>@Anyway! can u please tell give me her character sketch? Don't say u wait till another post. What was she like?

Ok this is in response to you dear - As we all know the royal women of the harem never presented themselves before men who were not family or friends unless they felt it would be appropriate. And this portrait does not seem to be on where the subjects sat before the painter to be painted.
So - is it not possible that this was commisioned by the Emperor Akbar and was painted by the artist based on Akbar's description and hence the youthful look and the specifics of attire. Also the painter may have used some other earlier portraits of MUZ and taken creative liberty with the attire perhaps???
