jalal i think has built this huge fort around his heart afraid that he would be hurt and one cannot blame him given the kind of people he is surrounded and it is his pride that refuses to accept that fear instead he has convinced himself he has no heart...this way he keeps people at bay everyone ...and there is no threat of getting emotionally swayed to them ...

a conscious Jalal is honest when he says he does not love jodha coz it is his sub conscious that reacts to her and makes him do things that otherwise he would not..hence his utter confusion that he has no idea why she matters or why he trusts her or why he cares...whatever he does for her it comes from his inner self and his controlled mind has no explanation for it

as many said here ...his life is too complex and so are the relationships especially ruqaiyya...so he has to sort them out ...if and when he falls for jodha ..how will he handle ruqaiyya ...she is not going to smile and bless them ..she will bring down the palace of Agra...till now jalal pacifies her like he does with a kid .telling her what she needs to hear,his half truths but how long??? one day he has to tell the whole truth ..the day he realizes it...waiting to see how that unfolds...the whole equation is going to change ..and no jodha and ruqaiyya are never going to be chaddi buddies ..after sometime they may start being cordial but that would be it ...hopefully a respectful equation exist between them even if not best buddies...
