well i know its about jodha-akbar love story. but my point is r we even getting gud quality akdha scenes??? jalal jodha's scenes cant be just about jodha singing for jalal or jalal giving payel to her. they should have long conversations, more quality & depth in their scenes not lovey-dovey ones. their relationship is not about any other daily soap. more depth should be there in their scenes, just like the ajmer shariff scenes or the mandir scene.

Munni, I have been saying the same thing for weeks now, and have by now tired of it. But quality and depth need good writers, whereas having Jalal hang around Jodha like a puppy looking for a biscuit is easy.

As I noted above, the treatment of Jodha is by now beginning to resemble that for the she-who-can-do-no-wrong female leads in Pavitra Rishta, surrounded by a gaggle of admirers and dominating their hapless male leads. There are no shades or nuances, either in the character graph or on the actress' face. Just compare Jodha's face (forget the unsatisfactory lip synching, with the mouth open only a bit even when she is hitting the high C note), with a single expression right thru, and the myriad shades on Jalal's.

Jalal is becoming an obsessive, whatever the excuses he gives himself and the audience. His not sending a servant to get his khanjar is a case in point, like his kneeling at her feet and offering to fasten her payal, which took me aback. He cannot stay away from her, and as she does not reciprocate this even 10%, he is ending up looking weak, as when he was searching for the dagger. This is not my idea of a proud emperor.

It is also poor tactics, strange in such a smart political player. If he ever hopes to get Jodha to care for him, she first has to miss his company. For that he has to stay away and give her a solid dose of benign neglect. Not that this is going to happen.

If this goes on, Jodha will become more and more smug and uppity and will never give a hoot for a man who seems unable to exist without being around her. The very off putting,rude way in which she greets him the next morning was typical of this attitude. Now, with Jalal beaming like a 1000 watt bulb at the very idea of Jodha Begum's birthday, expect more of the same on both sides.
