The only reason why people every single of these 5 days in a week, tune into Zee & watch Jodha-Akbar is only, and only because of the leads- Rajat Tokas & Paridhi Sharma.

In deciding them as Akbar & Jodha respectively, Ekta had her biggest victory right there.

Enough said. 😊

I guess I got frustrated. Thanks for replying 😊!
I hope the track shifts forward or it will lull at the same point making it boring 😭

Thank-you all for replying to this post! I guess this post of mine is controversial and I accept the fact that you must be doing ghrina on me for this.😕

I am one of those who make enemies in the pathway of speaking one's mind. 🤔

I thought the actors lacked and found out that the director and the CVs did. I am sorry if I spoke something that hurt fans of Parijat.
I would in future keep my thoughts to myself and avoid making such vichitr posts .😵

Shubh Deepavali to all the forum waasis and their familes ! Have a blast blasting crackers 😛 !

My dear Sara,

I do not see why anyone should feel hurt by your comments, which you had every right to make. I was certainly not hurt by them! There was nothing the least offensive about them. I think many people are far too touchy around here at times.

Take care, my dear.

Ma'am,
I am sorry if this post is hurting in any way. I just wanted to clear my mind because looking at them both, i was irritated. I just could not find the spark both of them had. Even during the nascent stage of the serial where they just spoke and thought of each other there was fire. But in today's episodes I don't find it.
The director has been quite the source of trouble in the whole serial. I saw it in many articles regarding JA.
I am putting forward my point. It might hit a lot of people but I'm not afraid of doing so. I have never seen actors of their finesse getting wasted like this. The monotony of the serial is exasperating. I was hoping to see a little action and stuff but I was disappointed.
I hope that Rajat and Paridhi improvise in future while acting out as they are the port in the storm full of bad scripts, bad costumes, bad dialogues or the TRPs will go down even more.
I am sorry again if I hurt anyone.
Thank you ma'am for taking time to reply and clear my doubts.

Sara my dear,

I think you are getting confused between the script and the director on the one hand, and the actors on the other.

Paridhi has been getting a raw deal from the first two for quite a while now, for no fault of her own. Her Jodha has been developed erratically and inconsistently, and she is not given any strong, empathetic lines at all, except on rare occasions, as during her grand apology scene the week before last. That was a high pitched emotional scene, and she did it very well indeed, helped by the fact that her face looks just as beautiful when she cries- a rare gift. She is made to constantly mouth inane lines at Jalal, screech at him for no good reason, and keep a stiff and/or irritated face all the time. But that is the script and the direction, not the actress.

Again, just see how badly the last Jalal-Jodha scene at Amer on Thursday was written! I have criticised it strongly in my post on that episode, but my critique is for the character Jodha, not for the actress Paridhi.

To judge an actor, you have to see him/her at his/her best. Take that little scene at Amer, just before Jodha goes to the Kali mandir. She tells Hamida Banu that she slept late because she could not get to sleep till late the previous night. She says it in all innocence, but Hamida, Mynavati and Dadisaa all misinterpret it and the latter two exchange knowing smiles. Jodha realises what they are now thinking, and the quick succession of emotions - dismay, alarm, awkwardness, shyness - that crossed Paridhi's face was a triumph of her acting abilities. When she is doing sympathetic scenes, she is very convincing, but that is easier to do. But there are other examples of tough scenes that she has carried off that I do not have the time to list out.

As for Rajat, you are even farther out. I do acknowledge that each person has the right to his/her own opinions on such things, but to say, especially after watching Rajat look at the sleeping Jodha, before and after her camping under that tree, seems to me to be incomprehensible. Rajat has a tremendous mastery of facial nuance, and his eyes say exactly what he wants them to say, which is not always the case with even seasoned actors.

He achieves microshifts of expression time and again, and can often go beyond the script and invest his scenes with shades of meaning that the writer & the director had very likely never thought of. His sole, minor weakness is in handling extreme anger, when he sometimes goes overboard, but in the scenes with the Rat King in recent episodes, he seems to have conquered even that.

So, unless you have been deliberately provoking reactions with a mischievous post, my own response would be that I do not agree with you at all, in respect of either actor. In fact, I am not sure you agree with yourself!😉

@Sara: Why're you apologising??
Please don't!

No-one is offended. As Aunty said, you've every right to voice what you feel.

I was doing just the same. 😊

Hope to see you around often. 🤗

Please don't apologize sara. 😊Btw, you might not be wrong since you don't seem to be the only one who's feeling so. However, I also don't think this is the fault of PS or RT either!
Imagine - a chef has a lovely large clean kitchen and bountiful of ingredients - I'm certain he'd be able to whip up a plethora or delicious recipes in no time - even on a daily basis. If the same kitchen is lacking and ingredients sub-standard - then, even this skilled chef is going to get bored soon enough and his dishes bland!
This is what is happening to PS and RT in the show too.

An inside info has told us that the CVs have shot for three branches/solutions/scenarios for culmination of the body heat episode - which shall be released some time later in the form of flashbacks. This means that the CVs themselves do not know which direction to take the story in. Like many other dailies do, they're resorting to TRP tactics and audience reaction to decide the story on a day to day basis. No wonder the political issues in the serial (which are pre-scripted) look convincing enough. However, the delicate ones like romance are beginning to appear more lame and disjointed! When both tracks merge, its all becoming worse.
Because of all this, even the leads don't know what to make of each scene. Plus, all this means they'll be overworked and therefore look tired!
RT and PS have not been looking FRESH in the body-heat scenes, as far as I'm concerned.

However, they are superlative actors and of that I have no doubt! 😳

Hmmm. Which is why I feel that they should end the show by next June (a year) or mid 2014 (1.5 years) anything more than that & these brilliant actors themselves will begin to get tired of the show!!
Rajat would want to move on to bigger & better things & so would Paridhi. And they certainly will get them in particular, Rajat ⭐️because they're exceptional!! 👏
