I think in the show this is the first time they are showing jalal challenges as an emperor. So far he has had the upper hand in all the deals so he got what he wanted. So I was thinking we could come up with realistic ideas with which akbar would have pacidfied his enemies. Obviously giving up the fort is not one of them.
One of the successes with which akbar unified the empire is by giving key positions in his council and court to kingdoms he conquered. This way they had a say in the governance of his empire and did not feel humiliated at defeat. We know in the show jalal has said he conquered dwalgargh, what if jalal threatens he will take it all back again with ease but since to show he is not cruel he will give a key position in his administration to kuwar wajinder.
Taxation is a key for running an empire. Akbar had progressive taxation policy. Jalal could offer relief from taxes for a year.
When wars are fought every kingdom must send forces to its defence. Jalal could also offer they maybe exempt from this for a set period of time.
I hope whatever they show writers don't let us down. I want to see jalal the emperor being majestic and solving this issue as realistically as possible considering his political acumen. Unfortunately jodha has lots to learn about conspiracy in politics he said she said tactics isn't going to work. Ball is in jalal court so I hope we see him in action. Hopefully jodha will learn a lesson and put it to good use when they return to Agra.
