CHAPTER 8

Finally Katha was asked to go inside, katha along with Jayanta went inside . The Room was big and it was decorated with expensive paintings , and a man was sitting on the chair it was None other than Rajat SIngRathor. Katha's heart stopped for a moment Rajat looked at Katha and gave her a comforting smile .

Rajat- Sit. You have somebody with you hi what will you have?

Jayanta- no nothing thank you.

Rajat- Do you like to have something ? tea coffee anything?

Kataha - No thank you . katha was not in a stage to have something she could not believe that she was sitting in front of her idol . she was just looking at him with big eyes.

Rajat- anyways let's come to the topic. Miss Banerjee I must say that you are a very good singer , and you are fortunate enough to have Gururji as your teacher, he is a great artist and a great human being . I have called you here because I have an offer for you I hope you know about my music academy "SAPTAK" .

Katha- yes I know about it , everybody knows about it . It is India's leading music institution, it has produced many successful musicians' , singer and teachers.

Rajat- You seem to know about lot of things about my academy , good I want you to be a part of my academy. Katha was not expecting this she was in for a complete surprise, she locked at Jayanta who was in for a shock as well, but he did not express it, he cleared his throat and waited for a moment-

Jayanta- What do you mean exactly , does she have to teach there ?

Rsjat- No I want her to join there as a student, I know she is well trained. That I have heard in the competition , I feel she should take music as a profession , we need good singers in our country today.

Katha- I never thought of taking music as a profession . I sing to express myself not to earn .

Rajat- you see you have talent and I think you should nourish it, it's up to you anyways if you agree then meet me day after tomorrow and we will discuss the whole matter .

Katha- Ok I will let you know? Shall we go?

Rajat- ya sure if you don't have to say anything then see you soon . katha and Jayanta left place katha came back home and discussed the matter with her family, they were very happy they always wanted her to become a singer but never forced her . But still they wanted katha to take a second and final opinion from Gururji. Katha went to Gururji's home and told him about what happen in Rajat's office.

Gururji- It is a chance given by god, you should grab it . remember I always told you that you are destined to sing

Katha- yes I remember it Gururji, but Saptak it is too big dream for me . I am a bit scared, there are people who are much more experienced than I am .

Gururji- Remember music is not only about experience, it's about purity of heart as well you have a pure heart my child and that is important for music. Finaly katha went to meet Rajat with Jayanta she said she is ready to be a part of his academy . Rajat gave her a contract and he said few things which changed the life of Katha for ever .

Rajat- Remember read the contract carefully and then sign it. There is no hurry, because once you sign it your life will move around Saptak for next two years . In these two Years you have to live your life according to the routine which I will set for you . You will have a balanced and disciplined life which you have to live in the academy . In these two years you will hardly have access to facebook, orkut or any social media . As I feel that they distract a lot , you will be allowed to meet your parents only in the weekend. You can go out from saptak only with my perdition. All of this is written in the contract. If you agree then sign it , because if you break it then you have to face legal consequences .

Katha- ok I understand, but what about my collage, I mean I am doing my graduation I could not leave it like this..

Rajat- I know if you sign the contract we will have a talk with the collage authorities, and I think they will agree. You will be allowed to come to Kolkata and give your examinations .

Jayanta - pardon me but it is like a musical imprisonment . She is going there to be trained not to become a nun . Rajat looked at Jayanta with a deep but a commanding look and with a smile he said-

Rajat-0 It seems you are very worried about your girlfriend, don' worry she will be allowed to talk in phone . katha was shocked to hear this she did not gave the chance to move the conversation farther

Katha- We are not in a relationship we are childhood friends . he is bit concerned as he has never heard about something like this.It's ok I agree with your conditions .

Rajat- Great then Two days later at Dum Dum airport(KOLKATA), Air India flight Kolkatato Rajasthan. Tickets will sent at your home.

Katha- ok thanks now we will take your leave .

Rajat- ok see you at Saptak.

CHAPTER 9

Katha was all set to leave for Bikaner she has got permission from her Gururji and her family. Collage was really no big deal Rajat really managed it very well . But one thing is still left Katha have something to confess to Jayanta, She is still left to confess her love for him. She love him form last 3 years, but she was never able to tell him. Because she knows he treats him as ahis best friend and she does not want to lose this friendship. Katha have to leave by tomorrow morning flight . She knows one day will come when she will be able to tell her feelings to Jayanta , but this is not the right time. Jayanta wants to be an IPS officer he have to consenter on his preparations, and she does not want him to divert his mind for anything .

Next day katha took her flight to Bikaner and she reached the academy SAPTAK . Which is dream of every singer in today's time . katha has saw the pictures on the internet many times , but it is her first time when it is a virtual reality for her. The academy is set in the palace of Bikaner royal family where rajat stahys with his family. In stays in a part of the palace , and the part is converted into music art academy SAPTAK . it is a big area with a garden full of so many flowers and there smell really mesmerizes the entire body and soul. Katha was tired from the journey, nut the view made her feel fresh . Katha is a Kolkata born girl she never get too much chance to see the nature for that she have to go a bit fer from where she lives so it is a treat to her as she loves nature . Katha was guided to Rajat's office, through this way katha saw a lot of things big paintings, flowerpots. Stuffed head of wild animals and so on . It was a big thing for katha as she never been to any palaces before , a thought came in her mind that how a dfamily can live it such a grand setting . She inally enterd Rajat's carbine where he was making a notation she nicked rajat asked her to come in. Raiajt greed her with a smile . he asked her how was her trip and then he starts conversation with her .

Rajat- So katha finally you are here , and we will start your training from tomorrow . before that I want to tell you a very important thing. Katha did not say a word but she expressed from her eyes that she is eager to listen what he has to say, Rajat continues- I don't know about other people but to me music is worship. You cannot get overnight success in music, and if you get it that is over soon as well. If you have noticed many singers came and go many music directors came and go, but the people who had individuality they still remain in our hearts . So try to learn everthing you are taught , but try to develop your own style . katha was listening to rajat's word, she has came to know from his interviews that he speaks very little . Rajat continued- so best of luck to you I hope these journey remains with you in your path of success. Katha comes out from Rajat;'s office and she is told by Rajat's PA she has to go to the left wing of the pales she did not knew the way so the PA came along with her , in betwwn this small time they had conversation-

Katha- Can I ask you where we are heading? I mean if you can tell me .

PA- yes mam we are going to meet Revati Devi, you will be under her guidance from now.

Katha- who is she? Is she a teacher or a member of the royal family?

PA- no mam she is Sir's governance . katha was quite shock to here this Rajat who is a young boy have a governess . the PA understood why she was lost he immediately added, In Royal families of Rajasthan in old times the person who helped the queen to deliver the baby and brought up the prince and princess were called die maa. Later on tthis tradition continued but in a different way . the person you are going to meet is Sir's first music teacher , and sir calls her Daija. The PA ended the conversation and he was in front of another beautiful pales , it was made whit white stones and it was surrounded with the garden of red roses. Katha was speechless to see the beauty, she entered and was told to wait in the living room Few times later a lady wearing a simple yet elegant sari walk down from the stairs . She was so beautiful that she can still give latests heroins a run for their money. She was looking at katha , she found her a simple sweet and innocent girl . Katha unknowingly stood up in respect or her. She told her sit down .

Revati devi- So you are the new found talent of Rajat. Heard your voice you are a very good singer and moreover a blessed soul . Katha came out of her charm and could say anything but gave her a smile .

Revati devi- I will train you from now on for 3 months and then you will be ready for the next levevl. I have made arrangements you will stay here . go fresh up take some rest, you will have to start from tomorrow.
