No offence - but, some of my North Indian friends (at least their families back home) call all south Indians as Madrasis and I feel like 🤓...its like calling the whole of North India Punjabi

I only 'grew-up' in chennai for 7 years...but my parents and their parents and theirs parents and so on...grew up in different cities in TN...Yet, we're Maharashtrians by descent...
