In a way, it makes sense. After watching decades of Indian television filled with arrogant, pointlessly rude heroes, guess it is time for the heroines. 😆 Our Jodha is a garden-variety Arnav Singh Raizada these days. 😆 Same arrogance, same anger issues. 😉

Well, Meghana and Lashy,

I clearly do not belong on this 'exonerate Jodha and give her a free pass' thread, so I will refrain from commenting on all this softsoaping. I have already written quite a bit on my own thread for the previous chapter, and I might do something standalone tomorrow.

For now, i will only add that I disagree completely with this romantic mooning around her terminal idiocy, not to speak of her crudeness and near obsession with the physical side of marriage. A psychologist would have an unpleasant explanation for Jodha Begum's fixation on, as Kamal puts it. her patidev's supposed carnal desires. So great is this fixation that she stoops to discussing that, and her sleeping arrangements, with a strange daasi. It is the pits. Not even a slumdweller would descend to such crudity; and she is supposed to be royalty of sorts.

Jodha can't even stand her dasis saying few good words for Jalal. I wish the dasi mentioned how they were all worried and it was only Jalal who got her back. The CVs disappointed me again by not showing a scene Jodha recollecting what Jalal said after the suicide 'jang ka ailan aap ne kiya tha'. Do you remember that few months back you were mad when MA said your begum wants her own khema. Where is all your anger at Jodha making that demand again? I sometimes feel Jodha does all this so that Jalal can get mad at her and then she can proudly claim that she was right about him being a Jallad! Now I am loosing it - may be Jalal knows this about Jodha and hence has decided to not get angry anymore.

He is getting affected by the unginat ilzam his Jodha puts on her. He was only trying to save Jodha and punish the culprit who was using a wrong language. Jodha was right in protecting the intruder but blaming Jalal was an easy way out. It was her dad who realized that the only option to save Amer was to marry Jodha to Jalal. Many rajput kingdoms had eyed Amer, if not for Mughal help Amer might have lost many lives. Jodha does not have any such deep understanding. Our dude Jalal, tum ko kyon pharak padta hai ki Jodha tane marti hai? Why the lost face? Why does it effect you everytime Ruqu says Jodha hates you? I am pretty soon you will understand that tumhe Jodha ki har baat ka pharak padtha hai!

Using bad language? He'd come there to assassinate her...in any country in the 16th century, the punishment for an assassin (that too intending to murder a royal) would have been instant death! Her stopping him actually made NO sense! To top it she blames it all on him😆
