Lol. Good points Sara. You're right! As Ruqs is a woman she can relate to Jodha in a way Akbar can't. She believed Jodha is not a culprit by connecting the dots between her miscarriage and the miscarriages of other harem women. Even though she was in pain along with Akbar due to her miscarriage she seemed to become stronger than him by overcoming that hurt faster. Akbar was still very angry so he refused to see reason but she seemed to overcome it faster and while I admire that side of her, I can't help but think that maybe she was not so much sad about the baby as the power that came with it. I know that sounds mean but the CVs have shown her character to be something like that.
She saved Jodha from Akbar's sword that's praiseworthy though. So I agree with you completely on that!
I believe the reason she believed Jodha regarding MA is because she herself knows MA to be capable of that and she already deduced that Jodha has nothing to do with the miscarriage and the rest of the harem women wouldn't dare commit such a crime so MA is a likely suspect. Like I said she seems to be more sharp than Akbar. It's not that she believed Jodha its more like she was able to suspect that person now that someone else had.
She told Akbar the truth regarding Jodha but was it out of concern? I think she did it unintentionally and was trying to provoke Akbar by telling him how weak and lonely Jodha is and how Akbar is letting her belittle the Mughals.
While she is Akbar's first wife she is not exactly interested in how he is as a person is she? She seems to accept his every behaviour and action to be right which is why I don't think she is a good wife. It's good if a wife accepts her husbands faults and weaknesses but is it right to believe he doesn't have any and living in the illusion just because u want to? She seems to revel in the way Akbar punishes people which makes me angry at the CVs for doing that to her character.
I believe that Ruqs is a interesting character because she is completely unpredictable so I hope the CVs begin to do her more justice.
