My theory of the pirbaba disguise precap!

Friends, I am stumped as everyone else with this precap of the bearded pirbaba (Jalal in disguise) talking to Jodha outside the palace somewhere. I've been racking my brains on what this scene could be all about, and the strangest part of it all, for me, was the cordiality between Jodha and Jalal in this scene ... because all through the rest of the episode yesterday they were fighting like cat and mouse?

Anyway, to end my own suspense on this issue ... and to create some amusement for myself ... I am to going to offer you my purely speculative theory on this precap! Don't throw chappals at me, please, but do see if you feel the same way after reading what I have written here!

I think Jalal may be doing his own jasoosi on the miscarriage issue:

Maybe after he initially got angry with Jodha for blaming Maham ... and after Rahim stood before him as a mute witness brought by Jodha who could not utter a single word of testimony out of fear of Jalal ... this Jalal must have started thinking!

He would have realised, I hope, as Jyoti yesterday said, that there must be a Rahim link to this whole miscarriage-dibbi-ark issue, because the dibbi was ultimately found in Salima's room and so it is very probable that Rahim may be involved in placing it there and may know more about this issue after all.

This trend of thought must either have pushed Jalal to privately check with Rahim himself - or Jalal could have decided to bypass Rahim (not placing too much emphasis on his "eye witness account" but at least acknowledging that Mahamanga must be involved in some way if that is the broad angle that Rahim brings to the picture.)

Even if Jalal feels great loyalty to Mahamanga for caring for him and saving his life in childhood, we have to look at the way Jalal dealth with Bairam Khan to know what Jalal is capable to doing to Mahamanga in this case. Jalal may have decided to at least investigate whether Maham could in any way be involved and if necessary to take steps to "handle her" as he thought fit to "handle Bairam Khan" when Bairam started taking too much power into his own hands!

I have faith - and hope - in the Creatives heeding my many posts and investing Jalal with enough cleverness to be able to consider Maham's culpability and be ready to tackle her should he get evidence.

I think Jalal may be privately investigating the "source of the dature ke ark":

Maybe everyone at the palace is concerned with the dibbi in which the dature ke ark was stored, and Jodha and Rahim may be focused on how Maham then mixed the ark in secret into the kesar. But the angle that remains unexplored may be: who gave Maham this dature ke ark, and if someone did, could that source be tapped to see if any proof of the ark being in Maham's possession be established.

Let's look at the facts so far. We know Maham bought the dibbi, we know she put the ark in the dibbi for preservation of its properties (since it was a special dibbi that could preserve the properties of such herbs and poisons), and we know she then mixed the ark with the kesar. But before she boought the dibbi she must have freshly bought the "dature ke ark". Why I say "freshly bought" is because if she had always had these types of poisonous herbs in her possession, she would not have needed to buy that special dibbi so much later in the possession cycle to help the herb keep its freshnness!

So the dature ke ark must have also been bought just recently, slightly before the dibbi was bought. It is my hunch - and speculation as well - that Jalal is privately looking at this angle and he may have set out in disguise to meet the peddlar of the ark. Perhaps Jalal has had a tip off that such ark was being sold by sommeone specific in the area around some dargah, or else at least that the ark is among many other such herbs usually purchaseable around the dargah area.

This "dargah" is again my theory. The precap is not clear that they are both near any dargah, but judging by Jalal's costume and looking at the probablity of why the Royals may be strolling out of the palace in such garb (both of them in their respective attires) I am surmising this area they are meeting at may be near some dargah.

I also am very strongly inclined to trust in this "Jalal doing private investigation of the source of ark theory" for three reasons:

1. He would not be in disguise if he could trust someone else to do this investigation for him. The fact that he may be in disguise to find out the ark source (if that is his mission!) especially suggests to me that he suspects Maham and would not like it generally known that he suspects Maham! He trusts no one to keep this information quiet in the palace, and the fact that it could involve Maham makes the matter very sensitive to him.

2. He is dressed as a pirbaba probably to be able to melt into the crowd at the dargah area.

3. I personally deperately want Jalal to show that he has brains and so in my "wishful thinking Mansi mode" I would love for this whole act of Jalal to show that he is not sitting back and waiting for the culprit, but he is very pro-active himself.

The question of why Jodha at the same area and why do they meet:
Here, maybe Jodha was a genuine visitor to the dargah after Hamida advises her to go and visit the place, seeing her despondency over Jalal's behaviour towards her. (The other possible far-fetched explanation could be that Jodha herself was on the same trail of the "source of ark" and her own private investigations too had led her in the direction of the dargah area to check out the ark source for clues. This latter explanation seems unlikely though, for Jodha is in full queenly dress, and can be easily spotted and recognised for who she is.) So my suspicion is that she may have decided to just vist the dargah to pray for Jalal's brains to start functioning.
Maybe there, Jalal seeing Jodha in the vicinity decided to see if he could pull off his disguise on her ... and its just small quasi-romantic moment in an otherwise loaded (and boring!) murder mystery story track.
This moment of them both together must be either before or after he checked out the ark source. It is my feeling that Jalal will not tell Jodha why he is in this garb or maybe he will give her some arbbitrary explanation about a King needing to get the pulse of his subjects through some disguised intermingling with them.
The precap yesterday and the promo today suggest that Jodha easily sees through his disguise and even tells him it not befit a King to be seen begging for alms, nor does it make a wife happy to see her husband begging. This part of the dialogue between them looks very cordial, so I think it must be a bit of nok-jhok between them inserted by the Creatives, to satisfy the screaming viewers with some romantic moments in an otherwise full two and half weeks of unrelenting miscarriage saga!
I especially liked the bit where in the precap Jodha says "I didn't recognise you in Amer in disguise but I do recognise you now more easily", to which he says "Oh, so you got it?" This bit of banter about Amer is their personal and private memory that Jalal shares with no one else but Jodha! So it was interesting for me to see that this precap scene was built around some memory exclusive to the both of them, thus making the scene feel more cozy between them as they shared a private reverie of the last time he was in disguise.
It would be lovely if Jalal were to then ask Jodha how she knew it was him, and if she also gave him more romantic tidbits of information that could touch his heart like: "I can tell your voice anywhere, it is unique" or "It was your eyes, they are a dead give-away!" (Oh, but these are all my meanderings in hopeful expectation, I doubt the Creatives may have such sweet dialogues to make my day! So don't please take my fiction seriously.)
So there, folks, I have managed to write about a thousand words around the pirbaba precap and to scratch my itch to make much of this scene! Maybe there are some of you who like such fiction as I have written here and think there could be an ounce of possibility in it?
Either way, since last week I have been agonising about this pirbaba disguise spoiler, even going to the extent of thinking it was the humshakal of Humayun! So please all forgive me for this new lighter version of the "pirbaba possibility" that I have produced here. I promise you it is a very watered down version of the "deeply political humshakal conspiracy" that was on my mind all of last week!

Your theory fits. It makes only sense that its a dargah or the dargah is near a temple. Otherwise this theory doesn't fit at all
Yea I doubt if he tells Jodha the details of his excursion since had you rightfully said he wouldn't want anyone to know that he suspects MA at all! This track will be interesting for me to watch ONLY for that tiny banter between the two of them!!

And Mansi, I love that private memory bit! That's exactly what I was thinking too!!😃

Ambrosia, Mallika, Riyya:
I was expecting chappals and rotten tomatoes to come flying at me! Thannks for the kind words instead! And Riyya, nice script for including the tiger! It would be great if we get a swaying, slightly intoxicated tiger at the dargah that says "Koi mujhe aur dature ke ark pilaa de, meri roz ki quota abhi tak poori nahin hui", and so saying he parks near Jodha and Jalal to eavesdrop on the coochie coo!

Hi Mansi,
Nice narration and may be bang on with the resoning. However this is what I felt the moment I saw Jalal in Peerbaba disguise.
Since both were on cordial and jovial mood (she was slightly smiling when she said that you are the one who takes care of the needs of the nation, what san she give him? and he had that mischivous smile on his face when asked, so you recognised me, and not the frustration of getting caught while you are on a ploy)
Since Maham has known that Jodha will not sit quiet, she would have organised to keep tab of all her movements and then she has realised Jodha's witness is Rahim. So may be instead of scaring him to death, she would have choosen to bring in her humshakal to the light. So instead of brushing off Rahim's witness, she will produce her humshakal as the culprit infront of Jalal & Jodha. With this the issue of MC and the Dature ka Ark and the Dibbi will have a natural death resulting in:
1. In Jodha stopping her further investigation & Instigation on the issue.
2. Jalal will retain his love for Badi Ammi & also advise Jodha to think before speak and would not be as angry on as he was when she claimed MA as the culprit.
3. Humshakal will be prosecuted so, Ma will go scotfree.
4. With humshakal issue, even Jodha will feel bad that she pinpointed at MA'slove for Jalal and mellowed slightly for his sorrowful story opf his childhood.
5. Amer people would have left for Amer which has brought happiness in Jodha.
6. Jalal is feeling slightly guilty for shouting on Jodha (as her doubt on MA was not entirely baseless) and for doubting on her as well.
With all the above, Hamida begum would have requested Jodha to visit the darga and take the blessing of the baba alongwith her. So I am really pinned on the idea that Hamida Bhanu is somewhere arround when Jalal asked for Alms from Jodha.
s the say goes, people will not say no to the seekers (alm) when they are in temple / Darga. So Jala would have choosen this opportunity to ask for forgiveness for his misbehaviour.
Looks like this will lead us to the Tiger or Cheeta attak and either one saving the other.

Jaya, I love your beautiful arrangement of valid reasons why this Mahamanga-ka-humshakal will solve all issues outstanding! In fact the way Maham's eyes lit up when Hamida mentioned this humshakal of Humayun, I felt sure that Mahamanga may be tempted to use this humshakal idea to show that Rahim may have seen someone like her but not exactly her - and thus everyone gets a reasonable explanation, Maham goes scot-free and "all's well that ends well" with the nok jhok between Jalal and Jodha at the dargah!
But one explanation still remains: why should Jalal be disguised as the pirbaba? Was it just to be able to mingle with the crowd at the dargah and get the public pulse? Or was there a deeper reason? In my theory I have tried to explore if Jalal could have a deeper reason for the disguise ie. that he was trying his own investigation.
But I tend to agree with your conclusion that whoever does whatever investigation, this Maham will definitely use the humshakal explanation to close the miscarriage mystery and thus go scot free herself!

mansi,
All I can think for this disguse is that, he was not asked to join them to visit the Darga with them (new found mother & daughter brigade). May be He was very much aware of the pain he caused to her and so wanted to talk to her and resolve everything instantly. If it is a godly place, he was sure as hell that his Begum Jodha will not shout on him and ask him to leave the place. ( on a lighter note, he doesn't want one more crystalware to break and he was asked to patch it up in such a way the she should not realise that it was broken.😉😉😉😉. He is yet to join the pieces of the fisrt broken glassware)
On a serious note, may be he wanted to check what the people are talking about this humshakal issue and also he might have thought of checking about this personally if someone can fool his begum in his disguise. Also it was his practice from the past that he visits his enemy land in disguise. I do feel it has got something to do with Maha Rana Pratap Singh.

Good possibilities! I like all your ideas for why he may have worn the pirbaba disguise!
Now just remains to be seen whether the Creatives have as much brains as we have!😆😆😆
