Friends, I am stumped as everyone else with this precap of the bearded pirbaba (Jalal in disguise) talking to Jodha outside the palace somewhere. I've been racking my brains on what this scene could be all about, and the strangest part of it all, for me, was the cordiality between Jodha and Jalal in this scene ... because all through the rest of the episode yesterday they were fighting like cat and mouse?
Anyway, to end my own suspense on this issue ... and to create some amusement for myself ... I am to going to offer you my purely speculative theory on this precap! Don't throw chappals at me, please, but do see if you feel the same way after reading what I have written here!
I think Jalal may be doing his own jasoosi on the miscarriage issue:
Maybe after he initially got angry with Jodha for blaming Maham ... and after Rahim stood before him as a mute witness brought by Jodha who could not utter a single word of testimony out of fear of Jalal ... this Jalal must have started thinking!
He would have realised, I hope, as Jyoti yesterday said, that there must be a Rahim link to this whole miscarriage-dibbi-ark issue, because the dibbi was ultimately found in Salima's room and so it is very probable that Rahim may be involved in placing it there and may know more about this issue after all.
This trend of thought must either have pushed Jalal to privately check with Rahim himself - or Jalal could have decided to bypass Rahim (not placing too much emphasis on his "eye witness account" but at least acknowledging that Mahamanga must be involved in some way if that is the broad angle that Rahim brings to the picture.)
Even if Jalal feels great loyalty to Mahamanga for caring for him and saving his life in childhood, we have to look at the way Jalal dealth with Bairam Khan to know what Jalal is capable to doing to Mahamanga in this case. Jalal may have decided to at least investigate whether Maham could in any way be involved and if necessary to take steps to "handle her" as he thought fit to "handle Bairam Khan" when Bairam started taking too much power into his own hands!
I have faith - and hope - in the Creatives heeding my many posts and investing Jalal with enough cleverness to be able to consider Maham's culpability and be ready to tackle her should he get evidence.
I think Jalal may be privately investigating the "source of the dature ke ark":
Maybe everyone at the palace is concerned with the dibbi in which the dature ke ark was stored, and Jodha and Rahim may be focused on how Maham then mixed the ark in secret into the kesar. But the angle that remains unexplored may be: who gave Maham this dature ke ark, and if someone did, could that source be tapped to see if any proof of the ark being in Maham's possession be established.
Let's look at the facts so far. We know Maham bought the dibbi, we know she put the ark in the dibbi for preservation of its properties (since it was a special dibbi that could preserve the properties of such herbs and poisons), and we know she then mixed the ark with the kesar. But before she boought the dibbi she must have freshly bought the "dature ke ark". Why I say "freshly bought" is because if she had always had these types of poisonous herbs in her possession, she would not have needed to buy that special dibbi so much later in the possession cycle to help the herb keep its freshnness!
So the dature ke ark must have also been bought just recently, slightly before the dibbi was bought. It is my hunch - and speculation as well - that Jalal is privately looking at this angle and he may have set out in disguise to meet the peddlar of the ark. Perhaps Jalal has had a tip off that such ark was being sold by sommeone specific in the area around some dargah, or else at least that the ark is among many other such herbs usually purchaseable around the dargah area.
This "dargah" is again my theory. The precap is not clear that they are both near any dargah, but judging by Jalal's costume and looking at the probablity of why the Royals may be strolling out of the palace in such garb (both of them in their respective attires) I am surmising this area they are meeting at may be near some dargah.
I also am very strongly inclined to trust in this "Jalal doing private investigation of the source of ark theory" for three reasons:
1. He would not be in disguise if he could trust someone else to do this investigation for him. The fact that he may be in disguise to find out the ark source (if that is his mission!) especially suggests to me that he suspects Maham and would not like it generally known that he suspects Maham! He trusts no one to keep this information quiet in the palace, and the fact that it could involve Maham makes the matter very sensitive to him.
2. He is dressed as a pirbaba probably to be able to melt into the crowd at the dargah area.
3. I personally deperately want Jalal to show that he has brains and so in my "wishful thinking Mansi mode" I would love for this whole act of Jalal to show that he is not sitting back and waiting for the culprit, but he is very pro-active himself.
