Jalal is wrong - we can make all excuses for him but he is wrong. he is foremost a king then a father - I guess he will learn that through the rest of the course of his life because he is hailed a great mughal ruler in history
This thing he has with Jodha - is just obsessive - he probably wants to forgive her because he thinks she may be innocent but he does not want to think her innocent, he does not want to forgiver her and he wants to bend her, break her and he uses her sister, brothers, father ...sigh ...atleast there is hope that he will see light ...till then...Carry on Jalal...
Ruqs..I agree too ...she may find out the truth but I dont think she would be very willing to help Jodha...atleast not for free

Thank you. Jalaal is blinded by his hatred and loss - so even though we can understand the root cause, his behaviour is inexcusable. That is why Jodha's forgiveness should come HARD - so that he remembers all his life that others have a right to live as well, and he cannot decide anyone's destiny according to his temper and whims.

Jalaal's obsession with Jodha is too intense- even in this hour of distress, it refuses to go away.

Ruqqu is yet to prove to me that she is WORTH being called Mallika-E-Khaas.😆

Beautiful post 👏
The return of Jalaal's obsession is exactly what I was thinking throughout the episode too. You took the words right from my mind 😊. If the perpetrator had been anyone else, Jalaal's punishment would have been short, swift and brutal. But since it is the object of his obsession, he has gotten over his initial blind fury and is taking cold and calculated revenge and enjoying himself greatly not just for the sake of his lost son but also to feed his mad obsession. He is going out of his way to punish Jodha - something that would not have been the case with anyone else.
In fact his note to himself to punish her after his return from war was almost an afterthought. The whole Tilak scene was really fantastic. Today was the first time I saw the Rajputs in the light of valour and bravery portrayed in actual history.
A great episode with great acting by both the leads. (Also Jalaal looked extremely good in his armour 😃)

PS - In all the days/day since her miscarriage, I haven't really seen Ruku care about the loss of her child, She has been more obsessed with the loss of her chance at being Mariam Uz Zamaani!

PPS - I was wondering about the whole hindus-muslims thing too! Atleast if they had spoken about Rajputs vs Rajputs I would have understood but hindus? Its not like all the Indian Kingdoms were peacefully co-existing together before the Mughals came along!

Like you, I'm pretty optimistic through the course of this hatred track...Love could have progressed forward without this hatred track too...but I can't imagine it having the same intensity-the same fire-the same passion as it would have had with it..
Jalal and Jodha have always been a fiery couple...and I hope they remain that way...I'd be very disappointed if Jalal becomes a lover-boy and Jodha a typical serial-bahu once they unite...

I loved your PS btw...😳

Great post, as usual!

I felt a sense of dj vu today. The expressions and dialogue between Jalal-Jodha reminded me of episodes post Suhag Raat (when Jalal initially declared his hatred). Barring the plot of the current track, everything from his hatred to his threats to his ridiculous Jodha discussions with Ruqaiya echoed those earlier episodes. I don't know if we've come around in a circle or just jumped back a few spaces to square one. Either way, I'm happy for the shift. At the end of this track, I'm hoping for their relationship to advance like it did before (with Jodha's words and actions softening Jalal's heart) but with lasting progress.

P.P.S- And from where did the topic of Hindus and Muslims crop up? Enemy is just an enemy. No matter what their religion, Mughals /Rajputs would kill them for their deeds, not their faith.

Nice, positive way of looking at things!

Agree 100% with PS and more than 100% with PPS. I felt the dig at religion was uncalled for. Since the serial is under political scanner, it may backfire on PH and they may have to wind up the show.

@All. Thank you for liking , reading and commenting😳Its Zee that should take care of all the I&B ministry and cultural group agitations. Its not EK's job to deal with them. All EK needs to do is to tone down communal and cultural aggression in JA. Otherwise, like she has been saying , its a fictional take on JA, just like Ashutosh had one. And who is alive from the 1500s anyway to tell what is authentic and what is not?

Our country is a country of over-reaction.Seriously.
