"Dheere jalna, dheere jalnaa, dheere jalnaa
Zindagi ki lau pe chalnaa,
Hona hai jo hona hai wo
Hone se wo ruktaa nahinn
Aasmaan toh jhuktaa nahiin,

Before, i kick off my post, just one curious question. Is Jallaad Jalaal's Urdu and Hindi so bad or else are Jodha and Co so traumatized by his shaitaani shades that they did not understand the most CRUCIAL part of Jalaal's hate speech?
Sukanya is all set to marry Ratan - the heir of Sujaanpur that is giving SHELTER to dacoit gangs and the whole estate is in a mess.
Action replay: Sukanya marrying into grey royalty that is not fit to sit as the government . And that says a lot about what blot Ratan and party must be on the name of THE RAJPUTAANA.
Yes, Jalaal is on full-on Jallaad mode and he is not going to break Ratan and Sukanya's alliance because he has some brotherly love lost for Sukanya. He is doing all this to hurt and devastate Bharmal and gang , to injure his fave possession and obsession Jodha... But for an objective eye , who has nothing to do with Jalaal or Jodha ki kahaani, its pretty visible that Sukanya should not be marrying into Sujaanpur. Like, dude! A man who shelters dacoits and has no empathy for his estate , what kind of a husband will he be? ... Kick out Jalaal's kesar-ka-badlaa, and think on those lines, Jodha. Like, seriously! Had she been in her sane state and on civil terms with Jalaal, she herself would have done a talwaar-tilak and told him to just go and ravage Ratan and party.
Anyway, coming to the episode - TOLERABLE DRAMA FOR THE FAINT-HEARTED FINALLY.😆... Jalaal took a small break from his Goliath mode and was a civilized Jallaad today. Bharmal, being the king of Amer is liable to be arrested , but Jalaal is not touching him yet. Even if to get a sadistic pleasure to see Bharmal live in luxury while his kids suffer , he is keeping his claws off Bharmal. Rishtaa hai, usski garimaa rakhni chaahiye Abb bahaana kucch bhi ho... he was less of a wild mourning father today , even though his passion for Jodha is still aggressive and hateful.
Ruqqu , today, reminded me of her first impression of Jodha - " Kitni naazuk hai wo. Use toh Jalaal ki koi chaah hi nahiin hai."... the tone, body language and choice of words by Ruqqu clearly indicate that she is fast dismissing the theory that Jodha killed her baby. Yes, she is envious and repulsive of Jodha, but her mind is shaking its head at her- Jodha is not the culprit , keep looking . Its someone else. I liked her scene with the harem begums and kaneezes - even better, i liked how she told off MA. ...Ruqqu is an arrogant megalomaniac , but its tough to say if she really has a black heart. Her hatred for Jodha springs from the subconscious fear that Jodha will conquer Jalaal's heart.
Oh, and how can i not mention the JJ showdown in the ekaantwaas with the guards getting full view of the marital discord... Surprisingly, i did not see any hatred in Jodha for Jalaal. I mean , she was not on her 'Jalaal ka sarr' mode. She was tired, scared, psyched , hyper and pleading and defending herself to Jalaal with emotion ridden eyes. She just wants Jalaal to slow down and end this terror run. She even tries to reason with him, argues with him , stakes her life without any hatred... there was no hatred or disgust in her eyes, words or her posture... there was just a tired plea and embers of dignity - Stop this hate marathon...slow down... let others slow down... end the cruel shower... kill me, if it makes you happy, but stop burning down everyone...Its strange , but it did seem at points that she was expecting an ember of mercy from Jalaal... Ah, these compassionate hearts - they seriously believe that all blood is the same... in some wave or the other...
But Jalaal? He was your original suhaag-raat waala Jalaal. Menacing. Dark. Threatening. Predator-like and merciless. Only consolation is that he did not manhandle Jodha - infact, didn't even touch her except for softly and sarcastically lifting a tear from her face. He had come to see her only to tell her that he was going to ruin Sukanya's life ( he is saving her from a daaku-shaadi , if you look at it )... he just wanted to see Jodha in pain , have his fill and go back. If he is burning inside, he has to ensure that Jodha is burning too. That has been their deal from day 1 , anyway. He didn't go to say all this to Bharmal or the brother gang ... he went running to Jodha to injure her. Even in this terrible time and hour of cruelty , the fixation has not changed... infact, he no longer has any plans to kill Jodha... Am gonna keep you alive and harass you. But a death sentence to you?... No way, begum.
Lastly, the interaction between Bharmal and gang and Jalaal was a smart move, Jalaal is not asking anything that is unwarranted for or is not legal. Jalaal is waging a war against a Rajput state because of a public complaint and there is a legal agreement between him and Bharmal .
Yes, Jalaal is not doing all this just for justice or because he seriously thinks that Sukanya should not marry Ratan. He is doing this to hurt Jodha and devastate her , but its a good deed rising out of an evil.
Violence and abuse done with, Jalaal is resorting to psychological and emotional straining on Jodha , so that the pain that he feels and she "SHOULD" feel does not die out. Until 10 days... until the revelation of the culprit... until even his 'takht o taaj" cannot win him back Jodha's forgiveness and embryo affection.
Everyone is walking the tight rope right now... Bharmal and Co have to choose between Jodha and Sukanya. Jodha and gang have to await justice. Jalaal is setting up a redemption phase for himself. Ruqqu awaits justice and the original criminal... and layer-by-layer, destiny is going to open its cards...
P.S- Yayy! Precap! Kitne dinon baad Jodha ke munnh se "ghrinaa" sunaa aur Jalaal ko smirk karte dekha.😆... Once JJ are in love, Jalaal will issue an official decree that will ban the use of the word "ghrinaa" in Mughal Sultanate!🤣
