She was Ataga Khan's wife and Jalal's wet nurse.

According to The Empire of the Great Mughals: History, Art and Culture by Annemarie Schimmel,.. Maham Anga used black magic so that baby Jalal would not drink jiji's milk😆😕

Yes..

Shamsuddin Muhammad Atgah Khan (Ataga Khan) (died 1562), also known as Khan-e-Kalan Shamsu'd-Din Muhammad Khan Atgah Khan, held important positions in the court, including that of wakil (advisor or minister) to which he was appointed in November 1561, much to displeasure of Maham Anga, whose son Adham Khan, eventually murdered him in 1562.[1] Ataga Khan was the husband of Ji Ji Anga, one of Akbar's wet nurses.

😆

I guess, women wanted to nurse him as he was a prince.. Just like his begams are vying for his attention..

His caretakers wanted the honour of being his wet nurse?

Look how powerful it made MA.
