I found this a little strange. I can understand if his courtiers can, Abdul and all but ruku??

Should be a blooper...
we'll probably have to satisfy ourselves with the fact that there'd be more possibility of Ruqs knowing how to read devanagari than of Jodha knowing to write Urdu...

No doubt, it would have looked perfect if they'd got a daasi to read it out to them though...

Hey that gets me thinking...when Jodha and Jalal want to start exchanging more intimate letters bahut problem ho jaayegi...

Ye likh nahi paayegaa...aur woh pad nahin paayegi

this is mystery how Akbar was remain illiterate because all of his family were highly educated ... specially ladies of Mughals... the lady gulbdan begum... phuphi of both ruqayya n jalal was writer of humayyun naama.

as per movie they showed jodha learning urdu 😳 jalal never studied 😳

@lashy y they will exchange letters i want romantic scenes later 😳

He must be dyslexic, because as a kid texts were read out to him. He couldn't read or write but was educated. An uneducated person cannot run an empire so efficiently.

In those times, it must have been difficult to diagnose.

Akbar was very educated n intelligent person... he cant read or write n he can learn n memorize at once... like he memorized jodha poem in one attempt...he was also nocturnal... his sleep was very less.
