Friends, I have had a sudden thought:
When that night Adam ran after Moti to molest here, there was a very short scene of Adham's idiot wife in their bed looking up to see her husband has run away from their bed in the middle of the night. She is shown as wondering where he went. There must be a reason why they have included this scene (as they could have easily just avoided this scene also if it had no merit!)
My feeling is that this dumb wife of Adham is going to blurt out in court to Jalal that her husband was with her in their bed on the night of the Motibai saga, and he suddenly went missing in the middle of the night. We are not sure if Adham's wife also followed him to the harem entrance, but even if she did not follow him, it is enough if she simply says he was in Agra on that fateful night and he was with her but suddenly got up and disappeared from the room, around the same time that the rumour of a man entering the harem was getting everyone excited.
