After watching the sword fight, I have a question to the CVs -

Couldn't they have shown this sword fight in a different context? 😕

Wife of a Mughal Emperor practicing sword fight right in the Agra Palace seemed too fantastic ( read - illogical) to be true! 🤪

Jodhabai is not ChandBibi or Rani Durgavati or Jahnsi ki Rani who used to fight in the battles and hence practicing sword fight.

Though it is believed that Princess of Amer was good in sword fight and hence got the nickname Jodha, but showing her practicing with swords right in her sasural where the women have to follow many rules in the harem, was just OTT. 🤔

Jalal too doesn't seem very surprised which he should have been. Most importantly, Jodha attacked Jalal just like that - without any proper reason! 🥱

In the movie, Jodha was practicing sword fight in her maika, Amer fort.

Either you could have shown the sword fight in Amer or you could have shown Jalal challenging Jodha in sword-fight for some reason and Jodha accepts it.

The only saving grace of the sword fight was fabulous work by Rajat and Paridhi 👏 and their sizzling chemistry! ☺️


P.S: Sorry for being a spoilsport, but sword fight scene did not amuse me the way I hoped it would.

The billowing blue curtains in the background made for such a beautiful backdrop...truly a very nicely shot scene...the entire team worked hard on it and it shows👏


I can do horizontal stacks of three if anyone wants them...lol...for a change I made them stackable.

Logic is hopeless to expect in the show anyways😆

In the beginning epis, they used the pardah system as per their convenience...sometimes Jodha would be roaming around freely in the Amer market, sometimes she'd pull a 5 foot long ghoonghat to hide behind, sometimes she'd be shown coolly strolling through her future sasural holding hands with Suryabhan...lol...if they can show all that, then I I'm not even expecting any logical setting for the sword scene.

I was just happy to see a scene well-executed...the director and the actors did a very good job in this scene👏👏...and I liked how they differentiated it in tone from the movie...I actually found this scene more interesting than the movie one.
