My dear Chahat,

I am so very sorry, my dear, that I did not reply to your comments on my last 2/3 posts. It must have been because, though I make it a point to reply to each comment individually, as you must have noticed, when one posts daily, it is impossible to respond to all those kind enough to write in. The backlog builds up steadily, and one cannot clear it fast enough in the time one can spare for this forum.

With 4 posts this week besides this one, I kept falling behind, tried to go back and cover some missing comments in the earlier threads, and then gave up in despair. It used to happen ever earlier with charming genie, and I apologised to her ,but try as I might, I could never keep up. And I am yet to comment on Mansi and Jyothi's weekend posts of last week, and now this weekend is upon us!

I think you must have commented later, not among the first few, which I always managed to reply to before I wrote the next post. Anyhow, I will try my best not to be so behindhand with yours in the future, and you might like to comment as soon as you can. Between us, we will ensure that none of your comments goes unanswered. Deal?

The taming of the shrew reference was a curious coincidence, but I was pleased that you know your Shakespeare!

As for Jalal's motivations re: Jodha, I see this forum awash with Mills and Boon addicts, but I stand by my take on it, which is that right now, he wants above all to teach her a good lesson. This will change,of course, but not immediately. Apart from this, he is an admirer of beauty in general, and he is mesmerised by her bepanah husn - though the first approximation to that description came only yesterday. Earlier, she looked, for the most part, quite commomplace, except for her eyes. But things have improved dramatically over the last 2 episodes.

Good, let us all look forward to a lot of fun next week, with gorgeous visuals and next to no need for analysis!

"Once again a wonderful post. Loved Jalaal scenes. I think the seeds of love are some where in his heart now, but it is stil growing, and not even a sapling yet. First he was curious to see the beauty of Jodha after hearing her praises; then mystified after watching her; but after knowing about her opinion about him and their brief interaction in jail, maybe he was somewhere hurt and angry. Being a badshah, he is used to getting what he wanted, maybe thats why he had some reasons for wanting to marry jodha: 1) His fascination for her, if he cannot get it with love, he'll get it the other way round 2)he wants to show her what he is and his power, 3) maybe also wants to prove her wrong about some for her opinions about him; 4) maybe he is used to submission by women till now, and Jodha is different thats what fascinates him.

Last but not the least, Rajat/Jalaal is a major reason for me being hooked tot he show; and would love to see Jalaal-Jodha interactions. I loved old Ruqaiya, but this one does not even come close to her shadow!

n I love you for ur wonderful posts.

I think its like "taming the shrew" for him (Jalaal), and I guess we are going to enjoy the upcoming scenes a lot! :-) "

Ma'am/Aunty,

Please don't feel guilty or sorry. I understand that to keep pace with each and every comment is difficult. Now, i am sorry for putting you in an odd situation. But I was jut sad so could not help expressing it.

For your convenience, in above blue lines, i have reproduced my reply in that other thread of yours. please also not, my reasons for Jalaal marrying Jodha. 😊

Which Chetan was this, the chap who now plays Adham Khan?

Disha my dear girl,

That is a wonderful site, the video and the sound are both so very clear. Thanks ever so much, kiddo! It will be a pity to have to watch it in 15" instead of 50", but never mind, the point is to watch it, after all.

As for Chetan Hansraj, I do not know why you are lamenting his having so little footage so far.😉I would like him to have even less, if possible, and be defenestrated week after next! I suppose he and Rajat must be quite at home with each other.

A funny anecdote that would interest you. In 2006, when I was the High Commissioner (Ambassador of one Commonwealth country to another) of India to Canada. I was speaking at a function in Montreal, and as usual in French-speaking Canada, I used to have the opening paras of my speech (always seemingly extempore, no written text! Of course I used to think out all the points in advance) in French. Now this Chetan Hansraj, and a young actress, Aashka Goradia, who is now playing the Lady Macbeth like third queen in Maharana Pratap, were there, and they came up afterwards to speak to me and ask for the translation of the paras in French. They were both then working in a Balaji serial called KKusum, and I got the impression that Chetan had a positive role there, cast opposite Aashka (she was even prettier then).

They told me something that astonished me, as I was then completely unfamiliar with TV soaps. They said that the script was often written after they got to the sets, and so they frequently had no idea what they were going to have to say or do. Now, of course, I would not have been surprised!

Thank you so much, and I do hope you will soon start becoming more vocal and adding your own comments and points. This note is a very good beginning, but please do not let it be the end!

I surely Hope that Aunty that we will get Double Posts...
As the Time is Double, Analysis is Doubled
I think what you said is correct, may be it will turn out 90%Visuals and 10% Analysis but then also there will be something to get Posts from you😉
But I hope Analysis % is more than what uoi said, Actually you show us a new perspective to things in Episode, which we have neever given a thought if you wouldn't have done that.
Which you do Amazingly and Fabously...
If being wicked gets me Double posts, then I will surely do😆
*continously praying while writng this*
I hope we have Analysis post from you every Day of this"Shaadi Saptah" and...
*More desperately praying" more longer than half hour episodes!
Love
Apurva
A very great fan and reader of you Posts\Analysis

Thank you so much, and I found all your comments to the point.

Double posts next week, you wicked girl?😉 You had better get me a new left wrist from somewhere!😉

Now what I am hoping is that there will be 90% visuals and only 10% to analyse!

Oh my god.really?Good lord.Kekta and her shows those days 🤪

Btw,very true.Aashka looks so pretty in maharana!

@blue :I know what ur trying to imply😉😛😆 i'll have to agree 😆

And yes, they must be feeling so nostalgic.its just liek the good ord prithvi days.even lavina(the new ruqaiya) was there along with them in prithviraj chauhan 😆 you see,all these little things, plus the repetitive mention of the king, prtihviraj chauhan in JA,makes me wonder sometimes 😛 why are they doing all this? 😛 its very obvious sometimes 😆

Not just in those days, Disha. I do not think things are very different now, with characters being stood on their head over barely 2 episodes, as with Ruqaiya here, though I agree that they cannot do this quite so much with a show like Jodha Akbar. In the regular soaps, which I have stopped watching altogether, they run riot. Which is why I gave up on them. Here, there is at least a framework that cannot be changed.

Curiously enough, Chetan Hansraj did not seem as huge in person, in 2006, as he seems to be now in JA. I am only 5'4", and he did not tower over me as much as he seems to tower over Jalal the other day. Strange.
