Nothing is wrong with you😉, my dear, on the contrary, a great deal is right. You can distinguish the writing from the opinions expressed and evaluate each separately. It is exactly like distinguishing the actor from the character. It shows remarkable good sense!

I have a wacky sense of humour, and the best part of it is that I can, and very often do laugh at myself. That is a useful trait which is, alas, not too common, for most people take themselves too seriously. I never do!

And yes, thank you! A compliment from you means a lot, for obvious reasons!

Thank you very much, Sangeeta.

I agree with your take on Jalal in the main, but he is far more complex than that. One must also not lose sight of the fact that he is an empire-builder, and one who has seen his father fail miserably at the task of maintaining an inherited empire and ruling it. So there are things in his life more important, and more demanding, than personal relationships per se.

That psyche is different, like that of the mega business magnates today.

Short(er) and still sweet. Another wonderful post Shyamala Aunty. You summed it up nicely--domination and duty!

I definitely felt Jalal's need to control/dominate situations and relationships coming to the fore--certainly the caged bird symbolism really brought that out. All I can add is that this need to dominate his world, esp. his relationships seems to reflect the way those he trusted the most have treated him to a greater or lessor degree--MA and BK being the greatest examples of this. It will definitely be interesting to see how his ideas about relationships, love, etc. evolve as he interacts with Jodha--whose orientation is so completely different than his own--esp. with regards to love. I just hope the cv's continue to write Jodha as well as they have started to recently!

A beautiful post aunty :)
I am yet to watch epi's of the last week and so can't say much.
but from what i read on the forum and your analysis i dont see i am missing out on much.
The whole marriage fiasco is like a mockery and i think that is ekta's shows main trait after all i had experienced such fiasco with my fave couple 😉.

Love,
Kesha :)

Thank you so much, Pallavi!

Yes, Mahaam Anga is digging her own grave, but it will be a while yet before she falls into it. Jalal is not as conforming towards her as he was towards his Khan Baba, and he showed it yesterday. So she will also be more cautious, which will slow down the grave digging process!

No, my dear, Bharmal should have insisted on telling Jodha about Jalal. It was very unwise to leave her to discover it by chance from someone else, and as I wrote here, very unfair to her as well.

I am always at loss to fully praise your post as much it worth, but if in one word I have to say about it,then it is superb. And I think that it's neither Bharmal's nor Jodha's fault that she did not get to know about her would be husband, Bharmal tried to tell her but she interrupted. I mean it's Jodha's fate which is playing the tricks with her and doesn't letting her to get aware of the upcoming twist of her life..

The next best part was obviously jalal-MM interaction, he showed her that she is a mere woman who got the position of a mother in Jalal's life by her karma but still she also has no right to insult his would be wife. yesterday at this scene one thing also stroke my mind that in the same way Jalal showed BK his real place too and next the consequences ,well we all know about it. I doubt MM is also digging her own grave like BK..😊

Thanks a million, my dear.

I too have nothing but contempt for Bharmal, but to be fair to him, he really does not have any choice. If he had had a Kunwar Pratap for a son, something could perhaps have been done, but his sons and his nephews are all like suet puddings, flat and stodgy. Sujamal was the exception and he is now a renegade.

So what could the pot-bellied perisher, to use a term beloved of the immortal PG Wodehouse, do all by himself? Nothing except what he is doing now. I rather liked his rebuttal of Pratap's unmannerly tirade against him today.

Wonderful...I caught your post in its first bloom !😆

I like how they have been contrasting Jodha and Akbar...the parrot scene was nice...and I have liked Jodha before and liked her more in yesterdays episode...you were so right when you said she dint have the preachy screachy atitude but said it like a daughter to her king father.
It was funny how Jodha bounced from her sisters convo to her mother to her dad...but funnily although it seemed funny it was seamlessly done...but alas she dint bother with the name of the person she was to marry...less said about the portly king the better...he comes as more defeatist than a proud Rajput ...I guess since he made the ultimate sacrifice he would be kinda defeatist...but oh well..I guess you understand..I do not like the portly king😆...

Shyamala ji, i loved your post once again. Today's episode was great in that it kept everything moving...and WOW...the way Jalal brought those singers into this tent, then started thinking of her. And then the amazing line of cutting out their tongues if they ever praise Jodha again...OMG!!!! I mean, the Junoon, the passion. Its funny because I feel that he is trying everything to not show those emotions and yet that statement, although delivered matter of factly was all about passion in my humble opinion.

As much as we don't like the forwardness and cheapness of Jodha's maid...today's episode made my cry inside for her. She knows exactly what is coming Jodha's way, has no way to tell her because its not her place and for once she knows what her role is with Jodha...absolutely amazing today by the two of them and so FAITHFuL...love her role and always is she keeping a look out for jodha.

Also I loved the interaction between Jodha and Maan Singh...out of all the males of this Amer Kingdom, I think Maan Singh is the most manly and he's only supposed to be a boy. Jodha is really bringing out her character amazingly well these past few episodes and I"m so happy that you actualy had something nice to say about her in yoru post...

Maham Anga - do you think its because she is a woman that Jalal responded to her in that manner when she made her statements about Jodha????

Lastly - I'm finding Jalal to be disrespectful in what he said to the singers infront of his court...throughout the last few episodes now, they are going to be able to put the pieces together that Jalal is going to do everything in his power to break her...does that not open the door for others to treat Jodha disrespectfully, if not directly infront of him, then when he is not around????? I'm not liking his veiled threats and comments about no one praising or saying anything nice about Jodha.

Even I share the same insane trait as my sister here, 😆 really love your great writing skill , when I don't agree with some of your points.
But writing skill as good as yours is not easily found , so why deprive ourselves from some exceptionally good writing ? 😉

No, Sonya, I do not agree with the part about the banjaras, but please take a look at my post on today's episode, where I have set out my reading of all that, and you just might agree with me..
