While I do agree with you that Ekta didn't really show us a "war", I kind of liked it the way it was. This is because JA is a family show and I usually watch it with my little brother besides me. I feel that by not showing too much fighting and violence, JA is more of a romantic, family show. I just personally feel that there is no need to depict tremendous violence (even though as History suggests, that's what happened) on a TV show. It prevents children/anyone in general from being terribly disturbed. Personally, I skipped all the violent parts in the JA movie as well because I (even as an adult) get quite uncomfortable and disturbed by those scenes.

You know, he does look so weird when he laughs. Like he wants to laugh but isn't sure whether Ekta would fire him for laughing at her dressing sense.
