I just don't understand why they give so much screen space to Ruq, She's nothing but a side character. The story is about Jalal n Jodha. :|
She should nt be given any importance.

In mughal court Ruq might've had most imp. but in his personal life, Jodha was much more imp, becoz despite being from hindu Rajput origin, she was the empress after Salim's birth for a long time. Obviously Jalal loved him very very much.
I can well imagine what huge opposition he must had faced at the royal court whenever he tried to give Jodha any imp.

The movie was a block buster hit because it didn't bother to show unnecessary characters like Ruq. JA ki love story mein ye Ruq ka kya kaam ?
But it's clear that she's introduced to play the role of vamp btwn JA lolz.
Dikhana hi nahi chahiye tha use.
The movie was so much better.

During those days of 16th century, no woman was more imp. to the king as much as the mother of his heir. N Jodha was the mother of Akbar's only living son!
What a huge stroke of luck! What a power position over all other queens!
Fortune always favored Jodha. She was destiny's favorite gul! ;)

The opening scene of Jodha playing shataranj with all her siblings was really so pleasing n soothing to watch. <3
They didn't know they were enjoying their last happy time together for a long time to come. :'(
