If they were going to show Jalal with multiple wives and many many mistresses the way they did this episode was fantastic...
First of all what man doesn't envy Jalal to have any of those woman whenever he wants to...OMG. Wouldn't we woman love to have hot men surrounding us...i digress😆
First, as soon as he sees Ruqaiya, the look he has for her...he is on a mission to find her. She plays coy and aloof which is exactly the kind of woman Jalal needs in his life. I love that she is allowed to speak her mind to him and doesn't just bow down and touch his feet...OMG the greeting that she gives him with the live chess set...FANTASTIC.
Seriously...I'm not sure what I was expecting but this Ruqaiya character has already captured my attention...
I think we all need to remember...these people are characters. This isn't history to the T...its loosely based on history but other than that truth, everything else is fudged to make us watch again and again...(and yes I'm going to watch more ...definitely more)
As for Jalal...sure he has a harem full of woman, and if he had stopped to greet more than one of them I would have maybe had another opinion...but no...he doesn't even see them...(and well that's another issue for another day). Sure he notices the beauty around him, but does he stop for any of them...nope.! instead he gently removes them from his path, or takes her hand away from his arm...and completes his mission to find Ruqaiya...
Jalal...a man who has everything...any woman he could possibly want and yet who does he seek out...his friend and wife...Ruqaiya.
And then the scene when he flashes back to seeing Jodha...vah vah...its already started. Hes in Ruqaiya's presence and yet there he was for a moment all but lost to Jodha in his thoughts
On one final note...I really hope Jodha gets a seperate place to live...so that she can practice her religion freely and not be around all the cattiness that is sure to develop even stronger when she arrives.
Your thoughts?????
