Eeks! Thanks for complying with all our wishes.

I think the way you humanized Akbar was quite fascinating.

More so, the whole spectrum of emotions that you presented- first, his almost Machiavellian sense of grandeur, which belonged more to his public self. The way he sees himself as an emperor, his possession of Jodha.

And then gradually, we got glimpses into his private self- his jealousy, his frustration at not being able to possess Jodha heart and soul, his conflicts...very beautifully done.

Waiting for the OS from Jodha's perspective *hint hint* :)

Wouldn't Jodha's POV just be too repetitive? And what do you mean "Spicy"?😉

i mean maybe a scene where jodha runs away from the palace bcoz she wants to go out with her friends and gets in trouble and jalal helps her ...or maybe she accidently comes across jalal's encampment and the soldiers trouble her and jalal rescues her with stemy scenes..etc etc...comeon u have a creative imagination...i am sure u'll come up with smthing.

Ah. I'm back to reviewing. Feel's like a job now. A job that I love completely. Sitting here, reading your OS's 5-6 times, the first couple of times is just mindless reading, enjoying the surface value, and then I read more critically, and enjoy it even more! I LOVE MY JOB!

So RES FOR NOW. :\

I have college starting again tomorrow, AND I'M A LITTLE... unnerved. You know, the first day and all. :| So forgive me. I LOVE MY JOB, SO I WILL BE BACK! 😳

@piu: WOMAN! Don't put ideas in my brain now! I've still not finished my bloody IPK and Gulaal FF! UGH. And HARRY POTTER! 😭

A special place in hell will be reserved for my indolence. 🤢

xxx

Okay. Me back. ^_^ I have Fashion Week going on right now, so it's kinda hard. :'( Super busy. And I'm handling a photoshoot at the moment as well. So uber super busy. :'( BUT. NEVER TOO BUSY FOR REVIEWING YOUR WORK.

So, this time I have decided to make my review more organised, since the previous I pretty much sounded like an over-excited babbling, bumbling beyond belief baboon. (whoot whoot! at this point, I beat McGonagall. )

Ah. Here come my ramblings (section by section)

  1. Title. Again. I love how you circumvent your tales in your titles. The beginning to the end. The wholeness of your stories, it's mighty impressive and very inspiring. As an ardent reader, these are the subtle nuances in the stories that grip me completely.
  2. "He is King of Kings.
And Empires are forged in blood."

I love the absoluteness of your stories. You are fearless when taking one character to the very extreme and then bringing him to the other extreme in your stories. They should be idealistic. But that's the magic in your stories. They don't seem as a product of idealistic wishes! THEY SEEM SO DARN PROBABLE! ⭐️ I love the existence of such subtle contrasts in your stories. Wonderful, they are!
  3. Absolute rulers. Again, the same ultimates in your stories. He has a part of him, hurting, incomplete, and completely devoid of love, but not impossible because there is still that space, left empty, for Jodha to fill up with love later on. He says he's an absolute ruler, his thoughts show the same. But ironically, he's not. He knows it, yet he ignores it. Love that, so much! He has everything, thinking he is an absolute ruler, yet he is a destitute when it comes to the one thing he doesn't have to actually be an absolute ruler. :D AAA! Love it!
  4. He burns for her. That burnt me up! ☺️ Seriously! I had strange tingles running up and down my spine, giving me goosebumps. 😳
  5. Then all Jodha will have is Jalal. And she will be his. It's...(I'm out of words right now to describe your story to the fullest) amusing in a very gripping way how Jalal wants to break her down, tear down everything that makes Jodha stand tall, full of pride, only to be allowing Jodha to break his defenses and biased judgements to change the very core Jalal's made up of. It ends up being "Then all Jalal will WANT is Jodha. And he will be hers." Tries to "force" his existence in her life, ends up wanting only her in his life. 😳
  6. Jealousy. It's amusing. It always was, and always will be for me! So thank you for the "little twinge" of dark humour in there. xD Jalal's jealousy, I'm sorry to say, I find amusing, for the sole reason that it will always be one of the emotions I'm going to have a laugh at.
  7. Ruqaiya and Jodha. It's good to see the comparison from Akbar's POV between Ruqaiya and Jodha. Even from his POV, he's sure that Ruqaiya will always be there for him, just like she thought, but Jodha is the big question mark in his life, just like Ruqaiya's POV. The big question mark that later on reveals to be bittersweet for the two, bitter for one, sweet for the other. A desert rose. Rose for one, and thorn for the other. Reminds me of the Mughal-e-Azam scene. ;)
  8. This was their story, summarised, from your OS.

"Jodha. Attraction. Wonderment. Obsession. Possession. Salaciousness. Vexation. Defiance. Enchantment. Rejection. Dejection. Rebellion. Helplessness. Frustration. Jealousy. Tenacious. Dauntless. Indulge. Yield. Charm. Compassion. Resist. Unanticipated. Succumb. Unexpected. Engaged. Hooked. Betrayed. Grieved. Abandoned. Tormented. Retrospection. Mislead. Epiphany. Rage. Madness. Regret. Flattering. Enforcement. Argumentation. Admonition. Stipulation. Realisation. Absence. Longing. Presence. Ecstasy. Reunited. Submission. Bliss. Akbar."

No wonder their story is one of love. So many emotions is such an amount of time! I loved it. Loved the feeling of realisation on my part. Loved the feelings that coursed through my mind while reading this. Loved the sheer force of "truth" Jalal, Ruqaiya, Jodha, and I as a reader face in your story. 😳 LOVE IT!

Okay. I'M DONE! 😆

Thank you for comment! This was very much a journey of how he changed himself, and how Jodha helped. Because if it look at it, it's all Abkar who does the transformation- Jodha is the catalyst, but he carries through the process. And wish EK would touch on that a little bit in her serial, but I'm not sure.
Jodha's perspective might take a few days, because I do have other ff's that I have to get to- I like being timely on all my fics, so...😊
